LWFH I had steamed cabbage. Not really a fan but thought I'd offer my knowledge.

In bed with dd1. Seems she's got monster issues. DH admitted she was playing his scary computer game earlier. Maybe he should be here instead.

I have an earache and a sorethroat. This can't be good.

New hairdo and color for me today but can't enjoy it due to all the drama.

Wo-Is-Me!

Cyteen I think a hand made dress a-la-Steaky would be priceless. Do it!

I agree with Sazzles traveling with friends is always a bonus in my book. BTW I am quite of your announcement No1.

Thumbs are cramping ...to sleep for me.
Night

Oops that's fantastic news so pleased for you all.

Lol at twins man! DH's cousin had triplets naturally (3 DSs) and always wanted more but as she was adopted was never sure if it was a family thing and so her DH way too scared in case she has another multiple birth! She's the most incredible Mum I know though so sure she'd cope.

Also Brussels and Brugges both lovely for Christmas markets. Some friends also went to Cologne supposed to be very nice too. As Steaky says Lyon is nice - I studied at Annecy which is beautiful and DB did a short secondment to Lyon University at a similar time so we visited each other when we could.

Sazz Singapore seems to meet all your criteria

We went to the Maldives for our honeymoon. We got married right at the start of the heatwave in 2003 and I think it was cooler there than it was in England!

DS up at 4.30 this morning - man am I tired and it's not 12 o'clock yet. Just cancelled my training session from 8pm tonight as I don't think I'll be much use to anyone by then!

dizzydixies · 07/10/2009 06:15

am up far too early for work as D still coughing and coughing I had to get up eventually so DH could being her in with him before she woke up everyone else - wee lamb

enjoy your day everyone, am once again cut off to all civilisation even though am in the all singing all dancing bridgeofthestarship control room

OOOOOOOOOOOpsacoconut · 07/10/2009 06:33

Morning Dizzy

DD didn't do sleeping very well last night - awake for 45mins at midnight, I would leave her asleep but by the time I go back to bed she was yelling. I eventually left her to grizzle and she took another 25mins to go back to sleep. She woke at 5 yelling, I fved her and she dosed off and woke every 15mins after that so we are up watching cbeebies.

We have to be gone from the house today for at least 5 hours as they are laying the new floor base which needs todry for 4 hours before they can start laying tiles. Shoud have a final answer on my cooker today as there are none of the one I ordered in the whole country so I will get my upgrage.

luckoftheirish · 07/10/2009 07:26

morning yawn...

up at the crack here too.. dd2 woke 7 times last night wtf is going on?? guessing its teeth but man i'm tired again.. dd1 still not 100% either and crawled into our bed at some ungodly hour between dd2 wake ups...

re holidays... so so envious of those thinking of taking a break soon, could really do with some relax time, tho agree with dcs holidays don't tend to have the same effect as pre dcs...

we are off to cyprus in may for a wedding so i guess i am count down to that!!

i have joined a gym for three months to take some pilates classes and stuff to try and stregthen my back... today would have been my first session ( i joined a whole week ago) but since dd1 looks like she will be off nursery its not going to happen ... was the only thing i have organised for myself in so so long...

oh well tomorrow tomorrow there's always tomorrow...

ok going now as i have obviously lost the plot in my tiredness

TwilightSurfer · 07/10/2009 07:32

Morning. Up dealing with my own earache. BTW moist heat feels SOOOO GOOD on it.

Oops we had to leave when the put in the countertops. Very stinky!

Here's hoping Reese is less spotty in a few hours.

feel better soon ts xx

OOOOOOOOOOOpsacoconut · 07/10/2009 07:49

TS - hope you get some more sleep before the girls decided to get up.

LOTI - can you get some rest at any point today? Nap when the girls do?

Our problem seems to be teeth and hunger she had just eaten 2 weekabix and had 6oz milk There is a new molar edge too this morning.

steaknifethroughtheheart · 07/10/2009 10:20

hoooblumminrah! Council Tax Credits paid into bank account today.

Just waiting on Child Benefit now.

OOOOOOOOOOOpsacoconut · 07/10/2009 10:24

Steaky - the only bonus of waiting for the CB was the bulk payment when it finally arrived. Hope you managed some sleep last night.

steaknifethroughtheheart · 07/10/2009 10:29

Hi oops

AFter she went off at midnight she slept till morning. So frustrating, but equally grateful that when she does sleep it is for a good long stretch.

Can't decide what to do today. REally want to get to grips with the attic but it isn't really a very safe place for Izzy what with all those sharp sewing bits and bobs.

I will probably just tidy the house a generally, I always feel so much better when it is tidy.

I really need to do a food shop too so will potter out at some point.

Hope you have a nice day and you come back to a lovely floor.

iwascyteenagewerewolf · 07/10/2009 12:07

SHEFFIELD MEET-UPPERS I have FB'd you

SazZaVoom · 07/10/2009 13:42

We too had a crap night - DD2 woke just as we went to bed, wouldn't resettle so came in with us. She went to sleep but then woke at some point and howled. No comforting her so she went into her cot to howl instead . She soon went back to sleep and seems happier on her own (complete opposite of DD1). Swimming and signing this morning, both napping now then NCT friend coming over this avo

LOTI sorry you didn;t get your 'me' time . Hope you get to go to Pilates soon

TS Ouch for your ear. Hope you are recovering well today?

steaky i am happier too when the house is tidy. Rarely happens though due to 3 destructive influences

TwilightSurfer · 07/10/2009 13:55

DD2 is complete opposite of DD1 in the settling department too.

Earache is more of just a ear bother now. My right tonsil is a little swollen. I believe it's all just a drainage issue....too much drainage. Tis the beginning of cold season so who am I to stop mother nature.

DH has offered to watch Reese while I do a noon pilates class. It's just a few blocks from his office, and if I bring him lunch to eat during I think he'll be a happy camper. Not sure yet though if I want to go.

Reese is still ever so slightly spotty. Totally looks like skin irritation in my book and nothing ill-worrisome. Still wish it would disappear so others wouldn't worry over it.

Steaky that's very good news about your benefits. I hate waiting....especially on money.

on my profile here i have uploaded three crappy webcam pics: one of my new do and two of the kids speckles. would you worry over spots like these??

AnnVan · 07/10/2009 15:37

hi ladies
THought Seb having some egg would give me time to catch up, but he has inhaled it in short order SO now I need to think of something else to give him.

steaky I agree about Anne Miller. She had a terrible time domestically. Her husband threw her down some stairs while she was pg and broke her back. SHe still managed to carry on dancing (in a back brace though)

Sleep marginally better last night. was a zombie all of yesterday as I'd got him to bed at midnight then he woke a lot. Last night got him to bed at 11, and had two wakeups so not too bad. DP can be an annoying git though with comments like 'why are you tired you haven't done anything all day?' and 'I'd swap with you in a heartbeat' and 'at least you get the days' grrrrrrr.
Anyway baby moaning am off again.

SazZaVoom · 07/10/2009 19:24

Just nipping on as should be out the door to netball by now (putting it off coz of the rain

TS DD2's post MMR rash was a bit like that - raised and pimply, but it was only really on her arms. Seems to have gone now though

ann Leave DP with Seb for a weekend, preferably one when MIL is away too. Only then have the conversation about whether or not you have it easy being a SAHM. That conversation will not work unless he has experience 24hr care and responsibility himself - please trust me on that one. Oh and throw in a few household chores, supermarket shop, arrangements needing to be made and appointments to be taken to for true authenticity

LoveBuckets · 07/10/2009 19:47

Cyteen and Steaky Is Southampton slightly nearer than Exmouth by any chance? You guys could come to my house for a fitting and I could entertain all the small folk while you do it!

VG Just read a great teenage book set in 18th century Venice, by Marcus Sedgwick. You and your DS1 might like it if you don't mind a bit of gore and murder! I am all loved up with Venice now and want to source some kind of sepia pen and ink map of it to frame and put up somewhere.

I spent much of last night bedhopping between all the male Buckets. No idea what was up with DS1 (he can never articulate during his occasional night wakes, could be wind, could be nightmare, who knows) but guessing Kurt was hit by something MMRish as it was exactly 7 days.

Saw SIL today, she has moved on to bottles and is much happier. Actually stopped to look at the baby properly and wow, she looks just like her dad (DH's brother).

LoveBuckets · 07/10/2009 19:52

Ann I have a brilliant book about being a SAHM that would help you get your head around things and also that of your DP. It's called The Smart Woman's Guide to Staying At Home and it really helped me when I quit p/t work. PM me and I'll post it to you. You could then pass it on to anyone else that wants to read it when you're done.

AnnVan · 07/10/2009 20:34

AH bucket thanks shall I message my address on fb? Haven't got CAT on here. Ok Seb has climbed up so gtg again

steaknifethroughtheheart · 07/10/2009 20:54

Lovely offer Buckets though I fear you have forgotten that Sazz will HAVE to come along too.

Actually why don't we make all this meeting up malarky easy on Sazz and just do the next one at her house? It will be nice for her not to have to travel anywhere for once.

SazZaVoom · 07/10/2009 21:05

Well, you all know i am VERY central

LoveBuckets · 07/10/2009 21:12

Steaky Genius.
Ann Yep FB me.

Has anyone sewingy seen Styleshake? It's like playing Fashionwheel all over again! Annoyingly though they don't do ankle length skirts or dresses.

LoveBuckets · 07/10/2009 21:20

Oh and check out this Ebay shop for lully lully things here
