How's that?

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

awww sazzles cruel you are.

I went to Euro Disney when I was 13 with school and I am trying to convince dh that although Florida is great. France is still good too. Advantage of not too long to get there with small children.

no1putsbabyinthecorner · 06/10/2009 21:59

Don't blame you oops I would go for it. You decide what you want, and what works best for you. You need to go somewhere and relax.

SazZaVoom · 06/10/2009 21:59

My idea of bliss, good book, pool to swim in and good food

steaknifethroughtheheart · 06/10/2009 22:00

Lyon is supposed to be very very pretty [not been myself emoticon]

I am thinking Greek Islands or maybe Itally for my next travels. Though more likely to be La Republic or Malta [flippin Mansteak emoticon]

Wouldn't mind at all if he got a dive job in St Lucia though.

Tiny lady awake and grumbling though not really crying so leaving her to see if she settles herself. [hopeful]

SazZaVoom · 06/10/2009 22:00

OOps, i just book holidays and then convince DH they were all his idea

no1putsbabyinthecorner · 06/10/2009 22:02

sazz I said exactly that to dh,although he didnt like sunbathing and relaxing pre children, surely the idea of relaxing and a good book sounds like heaven now.

steaknifethroughtheheart · 06/10/2009 22:07

Did you know that they wanted to build Euro Disney in Spain,I think because it is sunny there, but they didn't, obv, can't remember why not.

OOOOOOOOOOOpsacoconut · 06/10/2009 22:07

I like pools, sun, food and few trips options. I can't sit still so sunbathing is out for me but DH can sit by the pool reading all day.

SazZaVoom · 06/10/2009 22:08

My Dh not bothered about it either tbh no1, so we go to France and i relax by the pool and he takes DDs to the supermarche to buy weird and wonderful ingredients to cook me a lovely meal in the evening. We are all happy

St Lucia is my fave Carribbean island. I have been twice, once on honeymoon

steaky hope DD settles soon

OOOOOOOOOOOpsacoconut · 06/10/2009 22:08

I am off to bed - DD grizzling but still asleep hopefully she will do her magic 7-4.30 then until 6.30.

no1putsbabyinthecorner · 06/10/2009 22:09

I love sea. Have to go in it and have a paddle/float.
I have to be able to see the bottom though and where i am putting my feet.
[panic emoticon]

no1putsbabyinthecorner · 06/10/2009 22:12

That does sound like the perfect holiday sazz

I fancied St Lucia or Maldives for honeymoon but as my dh had been married before, (he got married in Jamaica) he convinced me that it is all just a bit boring. wtf sand and sea, and sand and sea....
I let him convince me this was true.

He will be taking me one day...

no1putsbabyinthecorner · 06/10/2009 22:15

Dh just text to say his brother and wife have just been in a car accident.
Just at hospital sil having spine x rays.

OOOOOOOOOOOpsacoconut · 06/10/2009 22:16

No1 - hope they are all okay.

night all (really!)

no1putsbabyinthecorner · 06/10/2009 22:18

night oops

SazZaVoom · 06/10/2009 22:19

Oh no, poor things . Hope they get the all clear

We often go on hols with friends so those who like lazing can and those who like waterskiing/volleyball/fishing (MrTwilight ) can do their thing too. Always worked out well for us

no1putsbabyinthecorner · 06/10/2009 22:22

Me & dh love fishing.
I fancy one of them Horse riding, fishing Ranch holidays, then combine that week with a few days in vegas or summat.

That has to be on my holiday wish list.
Should have done it before dcs.

no1putsbabyinthecorner · 06/10/2009 22:23

Is mn slow for everyone or just me.

steaky hope dd settles ok.

steaknifethroughtheheart · 06/10/2009 22:23

no1 hope all okay for your BIL and wife.

Our honeymoon was a couple of days in Paris - fab - but Mansteak did promise me a trip to Venice. I'll have to do that myself.

DD still whining, if I go up and try to settle her I will either have to give her full on BF, anything less and she will go into full on crying mode. She doesn't need to be fed other than to comfort her back to sleep. But don't know if it is better to do it so we all get sleep in the short term or better to try to get her out of the habit so that we all get more sleep in the long term. If you follow.

SazZaVoom · 06/10/2009 22:24

It is quite slow here too. Off to bed for me.

Night
xx

no1putsbabyinthecorner · 06/10/2009 22:26

steaky I do follow, beacuse ds has got in the routine of being cuddle to sleep most of the time.
Tonight I let him cry, just to see how long it would be and it was bad so went in and gave more milk.
Put him down and no sooner had I closed door feeling smug he wailed.
I left him to cry/whinge this time and it was less than ten minutes.
I hate doing it though, but like you I know its just comfort and habbit.

no1putsbabyinthecorner · 06/10/2009 22:28

Im off to for one more glass of Red.
Night all.

xx

lwfh · 06/10/2009 23:55

no1 - hope that everything is OK.

oops - doesn't fulfil your criteria of somewhere warm but the Lincoln Christmas market is always really lovely (Lincoln is where my parents live/I guess home for me in the UK now). Feeling quite homesick just thinking about it.

The cleaning lady has flu and so I need to get going with sorting the house before DH gets home. I have red cabbage, and so am off to google how to cook it. I think that what I want to make is braised red cabbage.

steaknifethroughtheheart · 06/10/2009 23:55

blummin heck. Two hours it has taken her. She woke about half nine I left her until she got really grumpy, about an hour and a bit. Went in and sat with my hand on her chest. She was fine. Lay in her cot yawning, rubbing her eyes, then climbed up and honked my nose. Too cute not to laugh at her.
In the end I fed her and put her back down, 20 mins or so of more grumbling and she seems to have konked out.

So I might get some sleep tonight. I honestly don't know why some nights are good and some aren't.

[tired]

steaknifethroughtheheart · 06/10/2009 23:57

wotcha LWFH no cabbage advice here I'm afraid and also now that her highness is asleep I think I will be heading to my own bed.

Sorry to not keep you company.
