So sorry to hear of poorly babies.

Had very rough night and morning with BOTH dcs.
I won't bore you with the details.

DD got high temp, but seems a bit cheerful.
DS not so cheerful. He has cried almost constantly for last few days. Bless him, I can't put him down for even a second, without it sounding like someone is torturing him. iykwim.
He has just gone to sleep, and I have been trying since 11.00am.

He has is MMR on wednesday, as I have been putting it off for over a month due to him b eing a bit snotty or 'off it' now he is really snotty and very clingy I am not sure if I should put it off or just go for it.

What do you think??

oops for the attitude at the doc surgery.
I will be and am thinking of you now and for tomorow.

Off to catch up some more....

no1putsbabyinthecorner · 05/10/2009 12:43

xpost ts I am ROFL at tht comment.
That has cheered me up no end today.

On another note though,so sorry to hear of your rough night, you could be doing too much. The Pilates is wonderful and obviously fantastic for body and overall wellbeing, but you have jumped straight into a lot of sessions. Be kind to yourself.

StrictlySazz · 05/10/2009 12:44

LOL no lynching, but at least DD1 ate lunch nicely and has gone to sleep. DD2 ate one breadstick and is currently not asleep in her cot

TS take it easy please, remember you are only 13 months post CS, some bits are still healing . ROFL at your 'Holy Crap......' i would love to be able to do that but sadly would not have the nerve and would probably be lynched into the bargain

steaky hope your day improves and buckets you rain has subsided for an MMM (Mince Mercy Mission )

I have to go and sort out the woodstore whilst it is still dry here and then order some more logs. ATM it looks like DH a toddler has flung random bits of wood into a heap

TwilightSurfer · 05/10/2009 13:22

Well I'm going to go back to bed. DD1 is off and Reese is playing with her pretend laptop. I believe I'll put the gate up on the girls room and lay down her DD1's bed (twas my old one). I dug out my supplements from post Csec to help my recovery from pilates. LOL! I do tend to overdo. I also cancelled my Tuesday night class so no more worrying of it...it's GONE.

Sazzles when you get that wood pile fixed I've got a garage that needs some tending to.

Off to fix a stink and sleep some more. BBL!

steaky?!?! how was it?!

AnnVan · 05/10/2009 13:51

hi all

Just back from driving lesson. My instructor is such a fab bloke His daughter had her DS2 the week before last. born at 29weeks weighed 3lb Apparantly he is now breathing withouth help though He says the little feet are the size of his little fingernail, with tiny perfectly formed toes. And the baby's head is the size of a tennis ball. I can't imagine holding a baby so tiny.

Hope everyone is ok
oops at your docs. I had a similar thing with the hospital in london when I had mc. I was just told to go home and they'd scan me in a week to check if there was still a baby there. So spent a week not knowing if I was still pregnant or not. Positive vibes and thoughts coming from me though.

TwilightSurfer · 05/10/2009 13:55

Wow I think I just fixed my MN so I can read it on my Blackberry (from bed).

Steaky

No1 glad I could amuse you.

OP posts:
TwilightSurfer · 05/10/2009 14:11

Ha! It's still working. Ladies beware I now am fully MNmobile!

Ann that's a wonderful story. So tiny.

OP posts:
StrictlySazz · 05/10/2009 14:18

missed you there no1. sorry ypur dc's are poorly too . if i were you i would definitely postpond M's jabs as this one does seem to impact them if they are even slightly under the weather

woodpile sorted . i have a bad back now though

Sleep now TS

why are you weak steaky????

ann - sounds so tiny - dd1 was 5 1/2lbs and really wee. cannot imagine holding a 3lber. glad she is doing well though

i am still cuddling dd2 who will also not be put down hence one handed typing

no1putsbabyinthecorner · 05/10/2009 14:21

sazz does she start start wailing when you put her down anywhere??

ds did the proper screaming earlier, you know when it is so loud sounds like they are losing their voice. I couldn't believe it/

ann that is a little one. bless.

Is steakys interview today?? thought it was Tuesday

StrictlySazz · 05/10/2009 14:28

Not ALL the time, but i guess i'm noticing it more as she never normally does it. ATM she has wandered off and is fine, i suspect if i had put her down though she would have complained

Could it be M's ears hurting? - they can be SO painful

no1putsbabyinthecorner · 05/10/2009 14:33

It could be. I am always trying to justify it.
Ears throat teeth etc...

whereas dh just says he is mardy and clingy.

He is still asleep though. 2 hour so far, but didn't get to sleep till gone 10 last night, and was up at 5am then 6.30 so probably catching up.

sequinedsteaknife · 05/10/2009 14:49

Interview tomorrow.

Not enough sleep last night thanks to DD's partaying for 4 hours. Feeling all round crappola.
Waiting on housing beneift - thought it went in today, but actually gets sent today so arrives on WEdnesday, so even later paying the rent that I told the agent last week.

Blardy cold isn't it?

no1putsbabyinthecorner · 05/10/2009 14:51

steaky I so tired too. When will my children sleep

All the best for tomorow, if I don't get back on tonight. hope you have sorted the wardrobe 1

sequinedsteaknife · 05/10/2009 14:54

no1 tis a bugger isn't it. At least DD is sleeping now.

luckoftheirish · 05/10/2009 15:02

i first second and third agree on the tiredness stake.. hit a wall now.. dd1 seems to be feeling better thankfully and dd2 destroying nappy sacks.. just want to curl into a ball.. my sympathies to you all..xx

good luck for tom steaky xx

AnnVan · 05/10/2009 15:02

Yeah good luck for tomorrow steaky

The birth story sounds atrocious for the little 3lb baby though. Instructor says they had to cut her from hip to hip to get him out, because he'd turned transverse and couldn't breathe. Apparantly he was all bruised because they whipped him out so quickly He said his daughter seems to be getting over the trauma of it all now though. Her DH has said he's going to have the snip, as he doesn't want to go through all this again (they have an older ds who was also prem)

steaky( sympathies on the kak sleep. Seb used to do that as well - up for three hours in the middle of the night.

UndeadLentil · 05/10/2009 15:36

What a rubbish doctor's response Oops.

I had a similar thing when I was about 8 weeks with DD1 and I had bleeding after DS kicked me very hard in the stomach.

Lots of positive vibes for the scan and wakeful ones for everyone who is clinging to consciousness at the mo ...

TwilightSurfer · 05/10/2009 16:30

Napped. Reese is still napping next to me. Grand idea to stay in bed. Lucky can't you attempt to do the same as me? Just close yourself up in one room.

Dang Ann that's a horrific birth story. Still it's wonderful he is doing well now.

Where's my waiter? I'm starving. (disclaimer: there is no waiter.)

OP posts:
AnnVan · 05/10/2009 16:36

Aaaaaarrrrrr.
Really ought to go pick Seb up from MILs
Ahem. See you later ladies

sequinedsteaknife · 05/10/2009 16:40

GAh just noticed dog poo on the wheel of the buggy so had to cleen it up. grrrr.

But something good for today....

...the sideboard I bought at the charity shop the other day has just been moved into the attic by some very nice chaps. My friends DP is poorly and couldn't help so I just went to one of the second hand shops and asked for some muscle. They walked up with me there and then and hefted it up two very narrow and steep flights of stairs.

Result!

So soon my sewing stuff will be sorted and I can make a start on some projects - yay!

StrictlySazz · 05/10/2009 17:14

Crikey that is a result steaky. all our charity shops/2nd hand shops are running by two doddery old ladies who say 'sorry, what dear?' if you try and ask a Q. Or even just deliver stuff

No daytime sleep here . I am stupid hard as nails, sorting the woodpile as DD's napped. One would have thought that that was a blue job

no1putsbabyinthecorner · 05/10/2009 17:31

ann that is a shocking birth story, that poor women. I hope she recovers easily and quickly. Very traumatic.

ts glad you managed to rest.

steaky that is a result.

I decided to take a bath with both dcs (not done that in ages) and it was lovely, passed a bit of time contained them in one place like ts

DD started crying after the bath saying her ear was hurting really bad. Just one side. She asked to go to bed and I have had to give a teaspoon of Medised as have no neurofen left until my saninsbo order comes tomorow. (I know they can't have it till over 6yr now} [bad mummy emoticon]
I am sure she will be ok with that though as she has had nothing else and not so long ago it was fine for over 2's

I feel awful, can't get to walk in clinic as it is miles away and no car still and dh at work.
Will prob have a bad night. not sure what else I can do for her until am when I will try to get an emergency appointment.

LoveBuckets · 05/10/2009 17:43

God I feel fecking dreadful.
1)AF has come early and I am still a bit run down and viral (runny nose and a recurring tingle on the tip of my tongue tells me this is so.)
2)All 3 kids refused to eat perfectly nice veggie lasagne thing I made, I stood and howled once (which made them laugh) and almost cried then.
3)Phoned to chase mortgage co and we have been declined for our loan so no new kitchen or car. So annoying because it was on grounds of affordability but we'd be paying off another more expensive loan so it would be more affordable than what we pay now iyswim.
Am going on strike to grieve for my fantasy kitchen and going to bed right now before I upset anyone. Not DH's fault but he can have his flip out moment later when he's put the kids to bed.
