oopsacoconut · 27/08/2009 20:28

OOHHH lovely look Dizz all nice and James Bond like

dizzydixies · 27/08/2009 20:29

why thank you

steaknife · 27/08/2009 20:29

very sleek dizzy oops I was feeling very slow and hot this time last year. DD was due the 26th. I can't quite comprehend how ginormoose my tummy was then. Such a very strange thing that being pregnant malarky.

dizzydixies · 27/08/2009 20:31

oh and am pleased to announced am not knocked up - period has arrived with a vengance and explains some raging moods & tiredness

Steaky well done you on the shopping! is it sad that I was more excited buying new stationery for my various councils etc than a new laptop - although am rather enjoying it now!!

steaknife · 27/08/2009 20:32

oh bums, I'd better make a token effort to tidy up rather than face the mansteak-of-doom tomorrow.

steaknife · 27/08/2009 20:33

not at all dizzy stationary browsing is very soothing I find.

steaknife · 27/08/2009 20:34

which is to say browsing for stationary rather than standing still and browsing, which isn't browsing at all unless you are on t'interweb.

Oh someone stop be before I wiffle my head off.

dizzydixies · 27/08/2009 20:35

wouldn't have been too bad had I just browsed, however I spent £30 on new folders and then realised when home that I can't actually take them to any meetings as they're all ridiclious and non-business like

shall purchase some sensible blue ones from staples tomorrow (and jazz them up with some monster shaped post-its!!!)

hotterpotter · 27/08/2009 20:54

Excellent song Oops I still would do it all over again though

ahem, ladies, remember, it's e for envelope, stationery [sorry]

No1 what a crazy lovely thing to do for your sister I hope she brings you something ace from duty free on her return. Bizarre green liqueur perhaps

Good luck with the tidying Steaky

Loving the new laptop Dizz Keep thinking I should buy a little notebook so I can MN while DH pratting around on ebay, maybe I will...

But, feeling very annoyed with myself - SIL sent me £40 of Debenhams vouchers for my birthday back in April and I have lost them . They were in the drawer two weeks ago but gone now. Feck arse. Might have to go anyway and buy myself something with my credit -=card-- actual real money

steaknife · 27/08/2009 21:03

sorry HP
tidying done, well hidying all my stuff into a large cardboard box and leaving all his stuff out.
Will wash floor and wipe down bathroom tomorrow.

Hope the vouchers turn up.

dizzydixies · 27/08/2009 21:03

did I spell it wrong sorry!

hots go and buy something with cash (keep the receipt) then come home and VOILA the vouchers will appear as if by a miracle !

hotterpotter · 27/08/2009 21:05

I suppose I can pretend to myself that I bought summat straight away which is now too big for me

dizzydixies · 27/08/2009 21:07

VG forgot to tell you that my friend found out today that she hasn't lost her job, redundancies were made but she wasn't one of them however this means she will still have to go to sodding Frankfurt the weekend that I'd booked to come over in Oct - back to the drawing board with that then

hotterpotter · 27/08/2009 21:09

Yay for your friend Dizzy but for your trip. Can you put it off a while in the hope of cheaper flights to transfer on to?

steaknife · 27/08/2009 21:21

ooh stylish ladies help me decide what colours for my bedroom to be.

I can't paint any walls because so it is all about the fabrics.

I was going to go oaty-browny-bluey as I have some nice throws and a patchwork quilt that compliment this - see last pic on profile.

And I was going to go green for the living room as I got some ace lapshades in the charity shop, but the sofa we found is a tealy-blue colour so now I am thinking, blue downstairs, plum in my room and green for the spare room/sewing room.

Are you still with me?

dizzydixies · 27/08/2009 21:23

I think I'm going to have to as I can't find another weekend to suit - she forgets that I now work 2wkends out of the month so its not as easy to find an alternative out of school etc - will give it some thought - am evil wench worrying about the trip when we should be celebrating her still having a job

TS hope Reese cooling down a bit tonight

pf if you're lurking/checking in at all - was thinking about you - hope you're doing ok

oopsacoconut · 27/08/2009 21:26

Hi Steaky - how could you pack without boxes, you needed to keep DD amused so you took her shopping

HP - Bother about the vouchers - have you checked DD's room? I knew a boy who took his mums M&S voucher because it was pretty paper to draw on.

On this day last year I had just had my first dose of prostin gel and DH had been sent home - I was quietly contracting and had been given 2 paracetamol incase it started to hurt It was the hottest part of the year and I had stolen borrowed a fan from the nurses station that was useless so was still sticking to the amazing NHS plastic bed, the woman in the bed next to me was on her mobile constantly and the MW had left with a very cheery 'get some sleep'

N01 - you are a great sister - I hope you have good weather.

Hi VG and anyone I have missed.

steaknife · 27/08/2009 21:32

exactly oops

I quite fancy one of these on my wall, not so much the price tag though.

steaknife · 27/08/2009 21:35

And should I get a bedstead or just a plain slatted frame and mattress and craftify a headboard?

I was thinking of getting some sari fabric and making a padded one.

Or doing a wall-hanging one.

hotterpotter · 27/08/2009 21:35

Oops I had forgotten how long it took

Steaky I am rubbish at colours I'm afraid but the ones you have suggested sound lovely. I'm sure with your sense of style it will look fab whatever colours you choose.

Think I am losing it . Have just prepared the pasta sauce for tomorrow's tea of meatballs, then gone into the freezer to get the bag of meatballs I noticed in there yesterday. No meatballs it was a bag of sausages so we are having sausage chunks instead

oopsacoconut · 27/08/2009 21:36

Steaky - When you get to your new place - have a look at local auction rooms, they often have things like that quite cheaply.

dizzydixies · 27/08/2009 21:38

we had meatballs last night hotter and they were fab, sausages in fridge for tomorrow night so if it makes you feel better I'll chunk mine up too lol

steaky half the fun if it will be trial and error - its your new place, let it evolve round you and Izzy at a relaxed and fun environment

steaknife · 27/08/2009 21:39

Though this seems a little ott.

steaknife · 27/08/2009 21:46

Time for bed here.

Sweet dreams ladies.
