That is such an ace cake. Puts my iced mini muffins to shame.

Wow Oops, that is an amazing cake. Your little duckling is a lucky girl!

HP I don't get talent shows either but perhaps for the same reason! Hope your little lad has a good night and is rash-free by the morning...

of blackberrying. Perfectly safe to eat off the bush until Michaelmas when the devil spits on them! [bonkers old wives emoticon]

We have inspector-types visiting at work at the end of the month and for the first time ever I am senior enough to have to meet them myself - in an attempt to take the edge of my terror today I bought a very boring professional suit... maybe if I look very very inconspicuous they won't ask me anything?

steaknife · 29/08/2009 21:47

wotcha pert does teh devil spit on all blackberries or does he have evil minions that he delegates blackberry spitting duties too?

I've jsut watched The Bucket List again and had a bit of a cry at the end. Cos Carter dies just when he reignites his love with his wife. I have realised I am soft and an old romantic in love with the idea of love. [blub emoticon]

Were Simon Cowell's teeth very luminous tonight ?

TwilightSurfer · 29/08/2009 21:54

Evening

Oops your cake is BRILLIANT! Miamla did DP do what he did to be mean or did he have a virus/update that required the change? I'm only asking because I've changed DH's password before for that reason and then forgot to tell him before he used his computer. (((hugs))) if it was done to be mean!!

As for DH's fantasy girl, he can tell me who she isn't but can't tell me who she is because he's not sure and that's a pressure question that takes time to think about in order to answer correctly.

Reese is still under the weather. Her temp dropped down to almost normal for a little while today. Then it went back up again. She got terribly droopy at one point. Scared me to death. She's got D now. The nurse said that should last 2 more days. Lovely. I've taken steps backward by giving her formula bottles in place of food. She'd refused all food and most water after 2pm yesterday (that's when she became extremely droopy). DH brought her a bottle after work and she chugged 7oz in 15 seconds then SMILED. The poor dear was hungry. Today I've added some good bacteria to one of her bottles to help fix her tummy faster. I'll have to do that once a day for the rest of the week.

Enough TS crap.

Wishing all a good night.

TS glad the temp is down.

Quiet here tonight. pom pom pom.

pertelote · 29/08/2009 22:13

That's a good question Steaky and I don't know the answer. More research is needed in this area!

Off to bed with me. Good night all. And in case I don't get on tomorrow morning:

Happy Birthday Poppy and Izzy!

Aaaaargh! Massive spider! Right, off to huddle in a corner while DH deals with that...

steaknife · 29/08/2009 22:17

Cooking question - if you have left over instant chocolate icing can you use it to make hot chocolate?

Nighty night pert and sazz

oh dear, I still haven't done any packing, but I did remember to make Izzy's card. Phew!

steaknife · 29/08/2009 23:08

I'm offski - answer to the cooking question was, yes you can.

Night all.

TwilightSurfer · 30/08/2009 02:02

blackberries? i think ours have already come and gone. i can eat them as fast as midisazzles. yum!

8:56pm and all in my house are asleep (except for me obviously). reese seems to be doing better. fingers x'd. her humor is back and that's most important.

sarah i forgot to post on your comment earlier but did you take the hpt apart and hold it up to a light? better yet did you take a picture so we can help you decide? during my scare i had two (from the same pack) that had been inked. a few dots of you-got-pee-in-the-right-place line were dribbled on the you-have-a-problem line area. not a good thing, really.

time's up. bed is calling. ta ta

Happy Birthday Izzy!!!!!

Happy Birthday Poppy!!!!!

Well as u can see i have changed my nickname.. two reasons.. one as i am feeling a bit exposed that i have my name blazing up every time i posted and 2 under my current circumstances.. i need all the help i can get!!!

Ts haven't pulled apart the hpt.. will do that now and hope ad pray its what u said.. got loads of family coming around today ( like i really need it) so i will have to continue to symptoms spot until tom.. where hopefully af will be here...

its amazing i spent 11 months waiting to get pg with dd2.. make one mistake and it could all go horribly wrong..

its imperative that i am not pg as dh has already said that things would definitely definitely not be good if i am ..

so sorry for the me post.. hope the birthday girls have a wonderful day xxx

steaknife · 30/08/2009 08:55

Happy birthday Poppy and Izzy! A girly day today Hope you both have wonderful 1sts with your wonderful mummies.

Just realised I forgot to say happy birthday to Toby yesterday so HAPPY BIRTHDAY TOBY!

Another small hours wake up for us but was my turn for a lie in this morning so all good. Boy is in bed grumbling, DP and I are dossing about

sambo303 · 30/08/2009 10:01

happy birthday Izzy & Poppy and all the babies I missed last week.
Have had terrible week with ds still poorly and dp also suffering. At last they seem on the mend now, ds only up once last night makes a change from every hour. Have had to change his sheets etc every morning this week after explosive bouts of diahorrhea poor thing. not quite the relaxing few weeks before going back to work that I had envisaged.
loving the sewing talk on this thread, must get off back side and make some things....

sambo303 · 30/08/2009 10:10

oo, meant to add, we had a wonderful day out yesterday with dp's son, DIL and grandchildren, went to the London aquarium. Was fab, ds really loved the fish, he was so excited. I'd thoroughly recommend it for babies (although mucho expensive!). miamla I think you took T there for his b'day, we were going to follow suit as such a good idea, but now we've done that we're thinking London zoo for ds's b'day , he really loves animals, birds and fish and we did not see much a Bristol zoo due to sickness.

hotterpotter · 30/08/2009 11:24

Hey Sambo glad to hear your boys are feeling better now. Must have been awful

Loti (like it ) hope you get your period tomorrow. Do you have any more tests in case it goes overdue? I'm sure there would have been a strongish line testing so close to when your period is due, I got a definite one 2 days before and that was a cheap ebay test. Fingers crossed for you

hotterpotter · 30/08/2009 11:25

Happy Birthday Izzy, Happy Birthday Poppy

TwilightSurfer · 30/08/2009 12:43

Lucky just whatever you do DON'T GOOGLE anything right now. Just BREATH. All will be good no matter what ALL is. If you'd be closer I'd have been right over to do the detective work with you. My RL friend did that for me and it made me feel so good. Keep spilling all you need to spill here because you need an outlet.

Ya'll Reese is still sick. Her temp is lower but it's still slightly present. Her poos are (edited). You don't want to know but it's scary and what I would call very serious. The nurse said that it's "normal" for a 2 days following. But remember I have experience with poos after DD1 had that horrible reaction to anti-b's while I was pregnant with Reese. Got schooled BIG TIME! She is attempting to eat solids. She is taking 4 oz of formula about ever 4 hours (give or take). She'll taste the rehydration drink but then push it away. She'll drink water. Her color is good. She'll fiesty if things aren't going her way. She even played yesterday but in a poorly kinda way. It's the droopiness (with the bad poo) that makes me think something more serious is at play. I've got 24 hours before I can take her back to her doctor's office. I will try to work with her foods today to create a positive outcome. Rice is cooked on the stove. Peas and Carrots prepared. DH has a shopping list which contains Bananas and more formula. I just need to take my own advice and STOP GOOGLING!

TwilightSurfer · 30/08/2009 12:46

Sambo I send you my apologies. Thankfully our poos have been contained. I do not know what I'd do if they weren't....since I'm WITHOUT a washer for the moment.
