plus kittens create lots of poo, and I think you probably have quite enough of that to deal with already!

qumps · 18/08/2009 21:32

I guess kittens can't make tea either.
Seriously off to bed. Just had to read the DM thing. That sucks.

Hi all, sorry not to catch up on last 2 pages of posts (am working... kind of) but have gone all paranoid since the DM thing and as result have made the fb group 'secret' i.e. it won't show up on search results on fb and non-members won't be able to see the content of the group. Please say if you object - we would have to invite people to the group now rather than saying go search for it but am a bit mindful of a few of us who have identifiable OH's or those of us in business who wouldn't want our MN posts identifiable. It's pretty easy right now for my fb friends to find my MN nickname through the group and some of the people are people I haven't seen since I left school. Anyway, probably just me being paranoid. Also there are two new members who aren't admins - initials S G and B W-C, anyone? Thought I should make them admins but neither are friends with me on fb so can't be sure they are people on this thread.

Sorry to hear about the house Dog, hope you get a while longer there, plenty of notice and that something great turns up.

I think you're mad wanting 7 children, but you've plenty of time to have more. I would love a 3rd baby but don't want any more than that, and probably won't get the chance to have no 3.

And Ray, sorry to hear you'll have to move just as you've got settled again. Hope that you can find somewhere nice to move to quickly where you can all be together as a family.

elkiedee · 18/08/2009 23:37

The DM thing does sound pretty outrageous. Thanks Lenni for making the fb group private, I think it's a sensible thing to do.

elkiedee · 18/08/2009 23:42

I don't know who our new members are, but one has 4 mutual MN friends with me. Should one of us send a message saying hi, welcome, who are you?

treedelivery · 18/08/2009 23:45

Dm thing horrible. I agree with your actions lenni. Without having the slightest idea of what you are talking about , but whilst maintaining a healty distrust for anything that I don't understand. FB is a mystery to me.

treedelivery · 18/08/2009 23:45

I'm no help here as I barely know who I am on fb.

LenniEd · 18/08/2009 23:48

I have also renamed group so MN not in the title, thought that was a sensible move so that the two are not linked iykwim. Thank you for not ousting me as a paranoid freak Tree and Elkie. Think your msg suggestion a good idea Elkie - think I could do it from the group. Will give it a go now

OP posts:
treedelivery · 18/08/2009 23:53

Oooookaaaay - how do I find the group? I always got there by going to my own profile.

LenniEd · 18/08/2009 23:56

Tree- on any page in fb there is a little icon on the bottom left of your page with two blue people on it - click on that and will take you to 'Groups' alternatively type the group name which is the same just without the MN part in your search box and it will come up as you are a member. Only doesn't appear in search results for non-members.

OP posts:
treedelivery · 18/08/2009 23:58

Thank you!!

LenniEd · 19/08/2009 00:01

That's ok - I think I still am in negative credit with you on the help front, and that's still from pregnancy! Let alone all the nappy chat and everything else!

Have messaged those two people - have a feeling the one you mentioned Elkie might be Kitty. Is that right Kitty? If they don't reply after a while on here or on fb I think I might take them off the list, they might have just happened upon the group through fb rather than here. What does everyone think?

OP posts:
treedelivery · 19/08/2009 00:11

Yes I agree.

speaking of nappies, these appear to be a bargain, and ittis are only £11.50

LenniEd · 19/08/2009 00:17

Oh no, Tree what have you done to me?? £5.50 for a nappy - argh!

OP posts:
EachPeachPearMum · 19/08/2009 05:18

I thought the fb group was already a closed group- ie not visible to non-members....?

bollocks.... the list had our mn nicks next to our names/pseudonyms....

namechange time perhaps?
