Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
SparrowFflamau · 25/01/2010 15:07

Ours are all the same start date regardless of birth. We find out 19th march.

Nit house from hell here. as fast as I get rid of the things DD1 brings them home again. We're always clear for holidays and reinfested within a week of school going back. Half the parents don't de-nit as far as I can tell, so it just never ends.

mustrunmore · 25/01/2010 17:18

Toy fair

Please someone tell me how to stop ds2 howing stuff constantly?

got a 1hr job £50 on thurs, all confirmed market research.

mustrunmore · 25/01/2010 17:18

adamant

SparrowFflamau · 25/01/2010 17:21

howing = throwing? dunno.

sent DH an essay length email dumping the contents of my brain, and told him he must reply. He will be home soon, so will point him at his email and then go and panic clean. Had a shot of whiskey to settle me. Could do with a hell of a lot more, but not got any. I can't live in limbo any more, I need more specific answers than "I don't know" and "I'm confused" even if I suspect they may hurt like hell.

CantSleepWontSleep · 25/01/2010 17:26

straitjacket?

More whiskey prob not a good idea anyway. Good luck. But he may not have specific answers to everything, so be prepared for that.

SparrowFflamau · 25/01/2010 17:30

He can at least narrow down whether he is confused about me, us, her, losing kids, a mixture of any or all of that lot. At the moment it is just so bloody vague its untrue. Plus I had the chance to get down everything I have done (if that makes sense) - this last fortnight has given me a hell of a lot of thinking time. I openly admit to being a bitch

You're prob right about the whiskey. Remembered I've not eaten today (bad night last night - not been able to stomach food today)... I'm v lightheaded

SparrowFflamau · 25/01/2010 19:05

all v good. will update later.

SparrowFflamau · 25/01/2010 20:12

Ok. He's on xbox.

Am finally 100% convinced that his friend is just a friend. Still not a great deal further on "us" but it seems to have broken some ice and we feel more normal than we have since this whole thing started. We can fix us, I am sure of it.

Jas · 26/01/2010 11:19

Good news Flame

Also no idea about throwing.....let me know when you get an answer though!

CantSleepWontSleep · 26/01/2010 14:37

Bravo flame - small steps and all that .

Primary school appn done, after visiting my now number 1 choice this morning. It was wonderful, and it looks like we might get in (last year wouldn't have stood a chance as oversubscribed) as only 25 places 'taken' (I didn't realise that they can see how many people have them as first choice whilst appns are still open) and they have 30 available .

Frizbe · 29/01/2010 23:22

Flame good news re you guys talking
Nits pita... Think we're clear again for now, not holding my breath though....

CSWS for school news, fingers x'd you're in.

MRM what do you mean?

Toyfair was good, this year you will be mainly playing with yoyo's, collectable aliens, robots, world cup stuff, and there's an update on the barcode scanner thing that was about a few years back (into new machine and quest form) if you're female a gallon of sylvanian, hello kitty or strawberry shortcake stuff. Big xmas toys in Gormiti and Iron man ranges for boys, fab supermario chess set too Great Alice in Wonderland stuff also (more for grownups!) Lots of Toy Story (3) Oh and watch out for the mighty beanz this year, coming soon to a floor near you (at least there's no sharp edges for you to tread on)

Meanwhile dd1 got sent home from school sick yesterday, kept her off this am, as not so well but fingers x'd she's fixed for tomorrow as sleepover to be had and party to go to!

mustrunmore · 30/01/2010 13:07

what do i mean about what?

Frizbe · 01/02/2010 09:14

MRM the Howing thing? translation required!
'lost north midlands person'

Soooo what you all upto this week then? darned freezing outside innit?

Me, off to combat in a mo, followed by treating myself to either lunch or a coffee funds dependent, then work this evening, as done dh a swap (he's doing next mon) as I'm at Spring Fair all day, with one of our managers (as we fig'd we can't get back in time to get dd1 from school n get store open for evening session, if we both go next week, and he'd rather not go if he can help it!)

mustrunmore · 02/02/2010 11:47

throwing

What collectable aliens?

I've got an hour to kill afer school with ds2 cos its ds1's circus skills day... too wet for park, cant even make it to coffee shop and back and actually have time to drink, def cant get home and back, too rainy for park. Argh. An hour in b&q

Frizbe · 02/02/2010 17:14

I'll look up the aliens for you, can't quite remember what they were called, in 99p pack type things (which might be a £2.49 pack, soz can't remember, will get back to you tho!)

for an hour in B&Q with ds2, how many kitchens can you look at? and possibly destroy!

Slept odd here last night, seem to have a crick in my left shoulder blade, tis odd, keeps coming and going?

CSWS am of your new cleaner! (facebook folkes)

mustrunmore · 03/02/2010 10:55

cool, ta friz.

Btw gave the brown cardy to my friend, asgfer all that, as it was too tight in the arrms

what cleaner?

We didnt go to B&Q. WE spent 25 mins leaving school by chatting to mums and a policeman, then stood in a wet park for 15 mins, then he needed a poo so we went back to school

CantSleepWontSleep · 04/02/2010 20:34

Have a cleaner at last. Same woman who comes to do my massages and reflexology.

This thread actually dropped off my threads I'm on. Don't think that's ever happened before .

Ds will need glasses in 6-12 months time.

Frizbe · 04/02/2010 20:54

CSWS for ds, how come? was it something you noticed? fingers x'd he won't need them for long.

MRM, oh well who needs a brown cardi anyway! don't sweat the small stuff eh?
Sorry my memory has forgotten the name again, will try to post whilst at work tomorrow with catalogue in front of me, doh!

Have total lack of brain today, its taken a holiday, body is running, rest of me is away with the faries..... Shoulder is a bit better though, hoping to get a full nights sleep tonight not good enough to excercise tomorrow though....

CantSleepWontSleep · 04/02/2010 21:36

He's been having same routine screening that dd had due to dh's crap eyesight since childhood, and they found that he has a severe astigmatism. Glasses will be for life I think.

EachPeachPearMum · 04/02/2010 23:23

Oh CSWS At least having them so young, he will see them as normal. If it's any consolation, my sister had a strong astigmatism, and it was ameliorated a great deal by starting with spectacles early on... she doesn't need to wear them all the time now, so maybe there is some hope. Having said that... both his parents wear them, so he was unlikely to escape them entirely.
I take it DD doesn't need them at all?
Hope you are keeping well with the pg though.

Hello to everyone- hope all are well.

I now have a 1yo and a 4yo... pretty fraeky really

DS has started moving all over the place now, which is fun but a little scary too, and much earlier than dd. He is also talking a lot sooner- doesn't seem like a baby at all really!

mustrunmore · 05/02/2010 07:45

Glasses are cool, dont owrry

Er, your reflexology bird does cleaning? What a bizzare life you lead

ds1 going to be in the School Food TRust promom vid thing that was on a thread on here a while back. They coming to film next wekk, hopefully with a couple of schoolfriends. Fame Means cleaning up tho

Phoenix · 05/02/2010 09:33

Hello everyone

Can't believe we've all got/nearly got 4yr olds

EPPM - Long time no post, nice to 'see' you again . at ds been 1 already.

for ds csws. My dh has wore glasses since he was a baby

I'm having a nightmare at home these last few days, we seem to have some furry rodent visitors, aaaaargh. We've heard noises at night in our ceiling and suspected mice (we had them up there once before years ago) but kind of put it to the back of our mind then on Sunday night i was sat watching tv (dh at work) and out of the corner of my eye i saw something run from under the sofa to under the chair. I was frozen to the spot with fear for ages and just ran upstairs and went to bed. The council came out on Tuesday and put some poison down so hopefully that will sort them. I hate the thought of seeing one again and can't relax once the kids are in bed and the house is quieter so i've been going to bed really early and watching tv.

mustrunmore · 05/02/2010 11:56

Oddly enough, we got mice back last night They get in under the stairs and run into front room.

SoupDragon · 05/02/2010 18:29

Four!

[wail]

CantSleepWontSleep · 08/02/2010 16:03

Poor old dd has come down with conjunctivitis we think, so has been sent straight home from school on her birthday. She is most upset and declared it to no longer be the 'best day ever' .

Collective happy birthdays to everyone else!
