I've lost my voice! you'd think dh would be glad of the peace and quiet, but instead he's been moaning that I can't speak/answer the tel etc....men! no pleasing them

Thanks for ds1's birthday wishes. He loved it and was so much more excited than last year. He was asking all day to do his cake. We had a little birthday tea for him and took him bowling after pre school.

I really should sort out some half term plans. We were supposed to be having friends come and stay, but they can't make it now so have a free week looming - eek! Anyone want to come and visit?!

I still have no car, and three children/two seat van is seriously limiting, so can't do Willows or pick up shoes from roydon

I think it is just usual drudgery plus dude being the demon child from hell.

I like the idea of just a basic 9-5, leave boy with the children, come back and do bedtime and weekends kind of thing.

Irony is, as a child, all I wanted to be was "a mum". I never had big career plans. Now I have it, turns out I suck at it tbh . But as much as Boy hates his job and would happily swap places tomorrow, I don't have enough skills or qualifications in anything to be able to go out and find a job earning what we get now.

Have a larp event this weekend, should be nice and busy.....I think I'm getting a lift there, as gotta get to event to check people in....whilst dh does the mega school run from hell (local then leeds then event! exhausting just thinking about it)

Been docs, after a igght of thinknig my head would explode literally. I have a streptococyl (sp?) infection, so got 80 penicillin tablets to take , and he said just wait for them to kick in so that then the paracetemol will work on the pain
