i love itng!

steaky i'm so looking forward to meeting you next week...you'd better not be a hairy trucker!

tis i with the new frock. i'm reasonably pleased with it but the fit could be better. still its a rare dress in that its possible to bf in it!

its good to hear you being so positive about making your new home. your lampshades sound lovely

i'm really hoping ds sleeps for a few hours tonight for completely selfish raesons! i've french manicured my nails (so i don't want to smudge them!) and i've had a glass of wine!

Miamla · 14/08/2009 23:29

noooo, come back steaky

Miamla · 14/08/2009 23:31

dp just woken ds up so i'm def here til he's asleep again!

Miamla · 14/08/2009 23:31

oopsacoconut · 15/08/2009 06:46

MORNING

Miamla - where is the dress piccie???? and You get to wear your shoes today I need a new pair of shoes now

Steaky good to see you around and about. I wasn't having Friday fun last night as I was sleeping befoe DD woke up 4 times in the night before my busiest day of the week. Good news about things for the house. If you are a hairy trucker you have very nimble fingers, DD will wear her SL creation on wednesday!

I am up finishing baking for today DD watching Fombles - I love welsh RolyMo. ITNG I can't get DD watched it with DH yesteday and likes some bits like the 3 creatures in the spotty trousers but the train thingie scares the cr*p out of her. Poor girl wasn't sure wether to wath up hide in Papa's lap. DH was bemused and confused by the whole issue!!

Miamla · 15/08/2009 07:45

its new shoes day!! AND ds slept til 5.40!!!!!!!! no wakeups!!!!!!
not sure which one i'm more excited about!

dp was funny last night. i've made a necklace out of a few gems i had already and wanted DP's opinion about how long it should be. His reply was 'you do know you've got a few stones on a bit of string round your neck, don't you?" After I confirmed i was aware of this fact, he then helped me with the length! MEN!

hi oops, sorry no pics yet, i'll make sure dp takes one of me today! and i'll get DS to explain the intricacies of ITNG next week

who else is going to the August Hairy Truckers Meet?

sambo303 · 15/08/2009 09:01

Hi all

I will be at the hairy truckers meet, ticket booked, very excited

had good 3 days at work but it did reconfirm that I am a bit bored of that job. My old boss's job is coming up cos she retired and I think I'll go for it. If I have to stay there for 6 months to avoid paying back maternity top up I might as well get paid more in that time. The whole experience was very tiring though!! How will I manage 5 days a week? Off for 4 weeks parental leave now, I'm determined to enjoy every second.

steak congrats on the house, sounds lovely and I'm sure you will transform it into a fab home for you and Iz. I second buckets on joining freecycle, I got a really good cotbed for ds on there.

steaknife · 15/08/2009 09:35

wotcha - raining here - wotsat about?

I am on the local freecycle but it is rather fast and furious plus I don't have a car for collecting but I should still be able to get some bits and bobs on there.

wotchoo all doing today. We were going to go to a craft fair but mum refuses to drive anywhere on a Saturday because of all you grockles on your jollydays with your caravans and lilos on roof racks.

so mooching around indoors for us.

CaptainCaveman · 15/08/2009 10:25

Hey ladies. Early wake up here, I recall it was 5am. O had been up, played, had breakfast, been back to bed and got up again, all before dh surfaced 15 minutes ago . I'm tired. And I have 2 huge spots on my face . Roll on next sat when we go on holiday!

No rain up here steaky, was grey early on but now clearing up and some sunshine appearing - hooray!

CaptainCaveman · 15/08/2009 10:35

Jinxed myself, it's gone bloody grey again now!

Somebody boot me off here, I should be showering. Hmm, think I'll go play bejeweled blitz on fb...

CaptainCaveman · 15/08/2009 10:40

It can't be this quiet just because sazz is on holiday?

RedLentil · 15/08/2009 10:52

Hi all, I was one of them as what was lurking on FB Miamla

I was posting pics of DD2's lovely birthday. I was still feeling awful after my bug/flu and only feel just about right today really.

Still we went on a quick jaunt to Garnish Island which is a gorgeous little Port Merion-like garden island a few miles from here.

I also made a very quick cake as the FB users will see.

We're off to a sports day here today, with wellies and raincoats on ... Hey ho.

Glad you're back safely Steaky and starting to look to the future. Let us know if we can do anything at all to help.

Wow them with your fabulous outfit today too Miamla.

cyteen · 15/08/2009 20:06

hello ladies

CaptainCaveman · 15/08/2009 20:08

Where is everyone? I might have to go and start a thread about stopping breast feeding if there's no one to chat to!

Seriously gotta stop bfing now. O seems to be filing his teeth on my nipple OW. I think my shrieks of pain tonight have convinced dh that I have to stop before we go on hols. That could be entertaining on the plane otherwise .

CaptainCaveman · 15/08/2009 20:10

yay Cyteen Flash us then

oopsacoconut · 15/08/2009 20:23

Hi CC. Hi soon to be Mrscyteen

CC - DD went though a phase of sharpening her teeth on me but it soon passed. I didn't feed DD at all today during the day as I was working for DH and I stupidly left her sippy cup at home. I emptied out a fruitshoot bottle, rinsed it and filled it with milk she loved it and drank 2 200ml bottles of it during the day. The only problem was I was as it looked like I was feeding her fruit shoots MAybe that would be better than sippy cups/bottles etc.

TwilightSurfer · 15/08/2009 20:27

Yes Cyteen, FLASH US!

Small lie in thanks to DH. Then up to clean cat piss off DD1's new curtains and freshly cleaned carpet. Then re-mopped living room floor where Reese dumped a yogurt drink (which covered the entire floor). Then tossed together breakfast while DH grumbled "what were we having?" Kinda think I should have just gotten up early. GGRRRRR!

Wasn't going to let the morning mess with my plan to start celebrating Reese's birthday. We went to the aquarium then we went for Ben&Jerry's ice cream, then we went to the zoo. All very very fun. Home now making spagetti sauce (because of Sazzles tease) and fresh italian bread. Dinner at 6p if anyone's interested.

So far I think Reese is loving her birthday weekend.

Thanks oops. He has started taking the follow-on milk ok (well he's done it twice!) from a sippy cup. Tonight was utter agony - it felt like he'd got a razor blade to my nipple! . I really was yelling at pretty much the top of my voice - and I'm not a wuss when it comes to pain .

Ooh, is that a shiney new ring I spy...

hotterpotter · 15/08/2009 22:40

Ouch cece hope you sort summat out with your tinker boy.

Cyteen oh I am so happy for you

Shouldn't be on here, 'tis DH's birthday tomorrow, we have had lovely romantic dinner tonight and now getting steadily plastered, should really go and be nice to him. How can I be married to a nearly 45-year old man though surely I am still in the first flush of youth??? [deluded]

lwfh · 15/08/2009 23:49

OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

congratulations soon to be Mrs Cyteen!

I like being married. And I like ITNG too. Would recommend them both.

Must go and mark some essays as am on a deadline.

DS has been in the wars with bumps and bruises, I think that this is the age for this kind of thing, but we had a nice day today and are having a little summer (veranito) in the middle of winter.

DH out to mass as it is a holy day of obligation for all you catholics. I asked him if mass tonight counts for tomorrow as well and he was a bit

Morning,

Happy Birthday Lara!!!

Early wake up again for me YAWN....

Little T has had a tummy bug since wed night and seem no sign of shifting... thing is seems so happy in herself, eating and drinking.. i guess these things have to run their course...

Congrats Cyteen!!!!!!!

I'm a bit with DH... been on a jolly boys since thursday evening, got back just before bedtime yesterday and is currently snoring his head off... i thought the deal was that if you have had time off enjoying yourself and having "me" time, your other half should get a lie in when you get back.. you think??? Grrrrrr

Anyway, hope you have a wonderful day.. day looking nice already so a definite trip to the park to try and wear out my two!!!! xxx

oopsacoconut · 16/08/2009 06:31

Morning Sarah. For some reason if DD sleeps from 7.30 and doesn't wake up at all she wants to get up at 5.30 So we are now watching the flaming Hoobs, so for hte rest of the day I will be singing 'hubba hubba's in hoob land .......'

I will be waking DH up in 20 mins then we are off to the beach for the day, not that he knows this yet
