Hollie is now home, panic over phew

some wellmeaning bloke took her from the front garden yesterday and only brought her back half an hour ago after he saw our flyer through his door - am delighted she was safe overnight but a bit that he didn't try the doors last night or phone the polocce/dog warden etc - never mind, she's safe now

off to clean house/have lunch/ pack and head to the farm so enjoy your weekends everyone - sorry for the drama as usual

HAPPYBIRTHDAY EIBHLIN, TOMAS and LEXIE

back later DD trying to eat the laptop power cable! Does anyone else's LO have a thing about plug sockets? DD loves them and when she is missing can always be found flicking switches on and off.

hotterpotter · 13/08/2009 13:21

Oh Dizzy thank goodness she's back safe Hope you have a lovely weekend at the farm

Oops regarding Reese's climbing episode yesterday...she seemed stable so grabbed the camera for her memory book. She gets the table dancing gene from her mother. Tis how I met her father after all.

DD1 was amazing last night and this morning in regards to Kindergarten. Not sure how long that will last but I am very thankful. I only cried as I was walking out of the school building. The fear of fighting the traffic at pickup is what caused the tears I think. Part of me is considering allowing her to stay in the afterschool program for a half hour JUST so I can avoid the nonsense. Call me crazy but I HATE TRAFFIC!!!

Oh and if anyone was wondering, no AF has not visited me yet. 2 weeks late today. Something has got to be wrong with my lady plumbing. And, yes, I will be POAS again today just as soon as I have enough output to do it (couldn't wait earlier due to school run rush). OH THE DRAMA that is TWILIGHTSURFER LIFE!!!! BTW don't ever google "late but bfn", you would not believe the number of people who repeatedly got bfn up to 3, 4, 5, 6months pregnant. HOW on EARTH?

Since I'm here and all is quiet I will share a few funny, TwilightSurfer's mind has completely left the building, moments.

Yesterday, I took the kids to Crazy World shopping. (that's not the real name of the store but it suits it better). I was only to get envelopes and bacon. An hour later and several more items than expected, I go through the checkout, pay for my things and stroll towards the door....WITHOUT THE THINGS I PURCHASED! The little checkout lady was following me saying, "maam...maam", AS IF I answer to MAAM. That's an old lady, right? Anyway, I figured out she was talking to me and turned my buggy around and returned to put what I had purchased in it and exit again.

This morning, I got up without any sort of alarm and jumped in the shower at 6am. Getting dressed afterwards I realized I'd shaved one leg and NOT the other. WTF! I had go shave the unshaven leg before I could continue because I was wearing short. How do you forget to shave the other leg?????

I hope that gave all a little chuckle.

Now off to change what is obviously a very stinky diaper.

......and the answer is.....negative again. i'm giving this one more week then i'm going to the doc. af's are not suppose to disappear...unless i am really old and this is menopause.

the countdown is on.
two more hours until i have to be at the school, in the parking lot, hopefully at the front of the line, to pick up my cheerful big girl.

Forget camping let's have a try of that spagetti sauce over some spagetti. I'm STARVING! (note to self: lunch should not be skipped when in crazy mindless state.)

Sazzles, yes they've been regular since two months (i think) and extremely heavy so no mistaking them. It's very odd. I've got that "could happen any minute" feeling ALL THE TIME. Not fun.

Thank you for the birthday greetings. DS lovely, but very cranky today as he hit his head during some particularly spectacular acrobatics this morning. We call him Peligro LWFH as he seems to have no sense of danger at all.

Sazzles, glad to hear that things got better yesterday. Good news that HoundHollie has been relocated and TS, all I can say is no periods here either (not sure this helps, sorry!), but about the only shaving one leg thing, entirely understandable, can't understand why more peoiple don't forget.

Oh and DH wrote me a lovely letter for DS's birthday.

now I just need to bake a cake

Miamla · 13/08/2009 20:40

yup, one's shaven, other one's smooth..easily (and frequently done) round here

oopsacoconut · 13/08/2009 20:48

TS - I have a strip of hair down one of my legs, which isn't too bad on it's own BUT I went to see my personal trainer yesterday and he stretches my legs muscles for me. He looked at my leg, which was at eye level, and butst out laughing then pointed out I had a hairy stripe. He is no longer in my good books!

Miamla - Dress??

Miamla · 13/08/2009 20:53

hmm dress...good question... i've got mostly a dress...but more importantly i do have new shoes!

oops my trick is to have a hairy ring around my ankle

argh! DS still jumping round his cot and i can smell dinner's ready but if i leave his room he's going to start screaming

hotterpotter · 13/08/2009 21:59

LOL at all the hairy legs Reminds me that when I was about 15 I was shaving my legs with what I thought was a blunt razor. Turns out it wa fresh from the packet and I ended up peeling my leg like a potato down the shin I took a strip of skin 1/2" by 6" off, owwwwww. Am a lot more careful these days

I've booked our summer holiday . One week in Majorca, at Cala Millor I'm so excited!!!!! And I even managed to save £80 by booking with Coop Travel

steaknife · 13/08/2009 22:35

alroight moi luvers?

see a few days back and I'm back speakin debnish. that's devonish to those of you who prefer the queen's english.

And woohoo me and my well protected credit rating as I have the house, mum and I go and sign papers and pay deposits tomorrow.

I could move in Monday if I wanted, which is tempting but it might be more sensible to start from 1st September.

Now I just need to furnish it, so far I have a table and no chairs, a baby's cot but no bed for me and a teapot but no kettle.

eek!
