EBsmom, i'm glad you called police, was a good thing to do and will hopefully make a difference.

emmab it sounds like a dreadful scary thing to see and glad the police are dealing with it. hope as you say she uses the opportunity to help herself..

i'm depressed on the bra front. i'd love *any of the ones you are all buying but the cup sizes are too small instead i'm stuck with truly grotty bolder holders for 'L ' cups

Gert2a · 19/06/2009 11:31

Morning all!

I also succumbed to the figleaves PRIMA code offer and am proudly bearing non-saggy norks in my Anita underwired perfectly fitting 38E bra (38C pre-preggers). Hurrah! Thanks for the code.

Emmabemmas good thing to call the police.

Ah, a small child is calling me. That's all from me folks!

Grumpyoldcaaaaaaaa · 19/06/2009 11:40

Fi L Cup? L Cup???? I cannot comprehend. I thought I had jugs wiv me F Cups..... I must admit I struggled to find F cups in the shops, better online.

Momi Send us a healthy carrot cake? I know what you mean about going nuts, I am going stir-crazy being indoors so much. And DH is a lovely employer, just wish he would be selfish sometimes. As for me, I have yet to have a letter officially confirming my Maternity Leave/Pay/Return date. I don't know if anyone remembers me posting about the HR hag at my workplace - I took S into work last week - HR lady visibly shuddered and said 'I'm not holding that' . Then she promised that she would 'get round' to sending letter out to me .

Quality HR dept there........

Oh and momi with regard to knee-high black support popsock things, very mumsy , I had lots of fun on that thread. No-one out-mumsied my mum-wagon of a car though

alapala · 19/06/2009 12:19

At last - I find a minute! Haven't caught up on everyone's news, but glad all seem well. Things good here, but my God 2 children is hectic, how do you manage 3!!?? gabriel is a real scoffer so i am v tired but he piling on the weight so all good. DS1 not entirely convinced and puts up a 2 hour fight for bed most evenings which is beyond tedious. our main problem is the spanish heatwave - its 40c, not good in a city, so i have hardly left our house for 2 weeks. At least it is big and cool, but still going a bit potty. Cant wait for flight to Uk in 4 weeks..

Belgianchocolates · 19/06/2009 12:28

Looks like I don't even have to be in my car or even anywhere near it to bump it, thus confirming DH's already growing suspicions of allowing me to drive. I went to this bubby walk thing. Turns out it was a wasted journey as the leaflet I've got said it started at 11, but that was wrong, it's 1pm. As I came back out of the leisure centre I found my car nicely parked against the bumper of another car. For a sec I thought someone was in the middle of stealing it, but when I noticed it was empty and not moving I realised it must have just rolled. Anyway it had rolled backwards against this other car, even though I had put the handbrake on, resulting in a big dent on the corner and scratches. On the positive and slightly worrying side, the dent had undented itself by the time I got home. Maybe our car is like Stephen King's Christine, you know driving itself, fixing itself... I'll really start worrying if the scratches vanish by themself too

emmab glad you got some results of the police.

fi I can't believe you've got an L cup. YOu don't look that big on your pics

Gotta go. C woke up screaming and starving all of a sudden

FiKelly · 19/06/2009 12:36

grumpy i was a '32hh or 30J ' cup pre grace and at least I could get lovely bras from bravissimo but now with the current ridiculous norks it's just nct own brand or royce boring granny ones.. their nice ones don't go up to L definitely a gap in the market still. it was the same when i had ds..

alapala at 40.. i'd be stir crazy too hiding from the heat.

FiKelly · 19/06/2009 12:42

belgian i think the only reason my boobs looked normal but generous in my pregnancy pics is due to size of baby bump as now that's shrunk somewhat i look kinda like a 3month pregnant barbie

Belgianchocolates · 19/06/2009 13:57

I've just got an e-mail from figleaves with a discount code to get 30% off until Monday at midnight. The code is simply THIRTY. I'm tempted to order myself a good gravity defying bikini for our summer hols.

pulapula · 19/06/2009 14:07

Belgian thanks for the 30% code- shame i've already received my hot milk bra and briefs set although if i could be bothered i could send them back for a refund and order some more .

Well we had quite a good night in the end. DS fed at 11.15 (DH gave him a 4oz bottle of EBM but i had to top him off as he wasn't settling), then fed at 3.30, i put him in his basket at 4, he stirred at 4.45 but i just cuddled him, he stirred at 6.30 and i cuddled again with dummy in, and he didn't wake til 7.30. So he went 4 hours between each feed which was good for him .

He has also been much happier today and easier to calm so hopefully it was just a growth spurt and he's more settled now.

Momino · 19/06/2009 14:22

hi all, back from shopping. got a few father's day gifts and started to look for some clothes to make me feel less 'mumsy' (and to go with my pop socks, grumpy) but Harper was having none of it and yelled within 2 min of arriving in each shop. so i had to put the denim hot pants back on the rail. and didn't get a chance to try on the red platforms i had my eyes on, sigh.

Belgian, Bikini? you go girl!

I am also very proud of myself and the DCs- i took the 2 boys to playgroup this morning, made lunch, then collected DD from nursery, put DS2 and DS1 down for naps, all without any major meltdowns from anyone . i feel more positive about being able to cope with 3 DCs as DH is back working full-time next week.

Grumpyoldcaaaaaaaa · 19/06/2009 14:30

Momi did you did that finger clickin' head wagglin' thing with 'yougogirl'?

Hotpants and platforms........class!!!!

Momino · 19/06/2009 14:33

impressed at all the underwear-buying. i must admit i put bras/pants on low priority so i have ££ to buy 'outer' clothes. maybe new underwear would make me feel sexy enough to start thinking about, ahem, 'relations'.

oh, actually don't need to worry about that anyway with DH having the snip next week. wonder how long he'll be out of action .

alapala, poor you confined to your house, though i'll take 40 over 15c any day.

Momino · 19/06/2009 14:34

grumpy, ireally accentuated my hard Ohio accent as well!

'accentuated my... accent'... does that make sense?

aah, you know what i mean (don't you?).

I getcha.

llareggub · 19/06/2009 14:52

We went to a new toddler group today and left behind DS's nice new jumper. It was such a cliche. No one spoke to me so I wandered around DS like a mad woman trying to speak to anyone who made eye contact. Very well equipped though, there were loads of ride-on toys. Shame about the lack of conversation. I daresay I'll need to go for about a year to get a nod of hello!

Reggiee · 19/06/2009 15:01

First day properly on my own with two kids (without any friends or relatives bobbing in to help) - can't believe it's 3pm and this is the first time I've managed to get on MN . Most disappointing .
Thank goodness for Peppa Pig.

Hope everyone is keeping well. Better go...

pulapula · 19/06/2009 15:03

llareggub- i've been to some groups like that too but usually a newborn baby will attract someone to come and talk to you [grrr emoticon]. Well DS2 just fell asleep spralled (sp?) across my lap/bf cushion. He has NEVER been so relaxed before- I am so pleased the grumpy baby from the last few days has gone.

Momino · 19/06/2009 15:11

Reggiee, pula well done on your good days with 2/3 children.

can you tell i've only got baby at the moment? with 2 toddlers gone so much more time to be on MN, FB, and other internet fun .

llareggub, what an effort. do you know anyone who could go with you to playgroup? i go to one with friends i already know but would struggle if i went on my own. people seem difficult to crack. i'm doing my best to say hello and make small talk but it can be hard.

I can't believe how well behaved C has been today. No hourly feeds in the early morning, not even 2 hourly feeds . She last fed about 1 and has been asleep in her pram ever since . I went to pick up the dcs without C as dh is at home and fully expected to come home to a screaming baby, but no, the house was completely quiet. Maybe she had so much food yesterday, she doesn't need much today

momino Lol @ the you go girl thing. Can't go on holiday without a bikini, but it needs to be a boob lifting, tummy tucking one. Shame about your hotpants and red platforms. Maybe next time hey. Maybe we can all look for some on our big shopping trip

llare shame about that playgroup. I must say, that's why I've avoided them so far. I really should pluck up the courage to go some time soon.

llareggub · 19/06/2009 16:15

To be honest I only went there today because none of my 2006 ante natal class were knocking around. We usually meet at houses or the park so we don't usually do the toddler group thing. It was OK though, I don't mind being shunned ignored on my own!

pulapula · 19/06/2009 16:21

belgian- its funny how we quite often have similar behaving babies- S is back to 3 hourly feeds and no snacking in hte night so much more easy-going (still has his moments!). He has also been asleep for nearly 2.5 hours but mostly on me (though i did manage to get DS1 up from his nap by putting him down briefly).

emmabemmasmom · 19/06/2009 18:30

Super Bad Mommy Alert

The scariest thing that has ever happened to me just happend. I can hardly type. I have had way to much excitment today to handle.

I was cooking dinner and DH went to get S and change her diaper as she was starting to cry. A few min later he came out of the bedroom and noticed a weird light coming up the stairs (we live in an upstairs flat with our own stairs and door). I heard him shout 'Oh no' and start running down the stairs. I came out in the hall and saw S lying on the floor. Then I heard Emma OUTSIDE!!! Turns out, somehow she opened the stair gate, went down the stairs and opened the front door! She was on the pavement heading toward the park a few doors down. She has never done any of those things before. I was and am so shaken I can't contain myself. How horrible! I don't even want to list all the things that could have happened.

OH and also she climbed out of her cot for the first time today too! So of course I had horrible images of her doing the same thing in the morning...going to send DH to B&Q for 10 dead bolts for the door.
