jenwa you forgot to mention that I would have those little girls trained to clean up every speck of dust and dirt after playing
yeah right... Q will probably be an enormous mess and never clean it up -just- -like- -his- -father-
I'm letting him play with his food in his chair as much as he wants but it's a huge mess. I know it's good for their sensory awareness to explore textures and touch foods, but tbh it just makes me cringe. I do get a huge satisfaction out of cleaning it all up afterward, though. Although, Q doesnt like that part so much he'll learn

RachieW · 10/06/2009 21:09

Good news about S Aubergenie! And your Ofsted, what a touch. I was told on my last visit that we are due to be ofsted-ed next academic year again and that they are on track with their timetable. Yay- this is when I will just be doing EYFS for the first time ever, joy of joys

J has been red-cheeked all day and quite clingy this evening. He ended up sleeping very well last night in the end but woke up all covered in snot, poor thing. He's gone off now so hopefully he'll get a good night and in the morning two teeth will be there and it will be over for a while again

star6 · 10/06/2009 21:10

sorry I'm so right now. DH being really mean. He's stressed from a number of different things but I just don't feel like I deserve to be talked to like that. I want to go away. I really want to take Q and go away.

loulou33 · 10/06/2009 21:13

Pistachio - i don't think Joe is particularly tall - on 50th centile for height at 6 months and 75th for weight but the car seat was a mothercare one that came with the travel system so not one of britax etc variety that i think last longer imo....his head was pretty close to the top and there was a sun visor thing on it which he couldn't see under so he spent ages staring at fabric (not very thrilling) and his feet were all scrunched. He used to scream every time he got into it and the straps were at the longest setting as well... he is much happier forward facing and can chat away to ds1...i'm sure he can sit up for 30mins, i will time him tommorrow if i can be arsed.....

on the finger food - Joe can only manage bread chunks (only the bit that stick above his hands), rice cakes (if i help him with the bit in his hand), um...that's it really I think i will try mini brekkie things but lunch and tea he is sooo hungry its all i can do to get the food in fast enough then give him finger food afterwards. Someone suggested milk before food but he's not into milk at all atm...He had no milk this pm and only had a tiny bit of milk at bedtime - he screamed everytime i tried to feed him so i gave up and he fell asleep very quickly....wonder if the dreaded cp kicking in???

bloody football on telly spoiling my evening....i need to get another telly or a life one or the other

got to go, Q waking up. will post tomorrow

ronshar · 10/06/2009 21:17

CSWS, seeing as Dh is not in your good books at the moment, is it so bad he will be away??

Great news Aubergenie. Not that being poorly is good news mind you, but you know what I mean I hope.

For all of us who suffer from snoring DH then watch Embarassing Bodies on channel 4 now. I am recording it for DH who is down the pub!

CantSleepWontSleep · 10/06/2009 21:20

star - start a thread on fb group if you don't want to talk about it on www.

OP posts:
Marthasmama · 10/06/2009 21:21

You've all chatted so much this evening! It's strange how one night you hardly talk and the next you all have verbal, well, written diarrhoea! I am too miserable to catch up properly......

Star - for you. Tell DH that you won't be spoken to that way, because you're right. He shouldn't be taking things out on you.

Myjob - It's not you and your parenting skills woman! Poor DS is tired because of the disturbed sleep pattern and that is probably also causing him to wet the bed. Ds only ever wet the bed on two occasions and that was when he was ill. When something's not right they seem to lose the ability to stay dry. It will get better, you do a fabulous job getting the two of them to bed all on your own.

Aubergenie - Glad S is ok but sorry he is suffering with his teeth. Poor little fella.

Rachie - Teething is such hard work for them and us isn't it? It gets better once the first couple are through. Until the back ones come in that is.

Ronshar - Ooooo, I'll have to check that out.

I can't keep up this evening....

ronshar · 10/06/2009 21:22

Star dont go love. Tell us all about it and we will give your DH a kicking if that helps at all!

I have finally got some nutramigen. DH is finally trying to understand the whole milk issue. He asked me today if W was allergic to milk then?? For fuck sake. Where has he been for the past 6 months?

loulou33 · 10/06/2009 21:23

Sorry star x-post..hope you are ok and get the support you need from those on fb...i'm sending big hugs from this end xxxx

CantSleepWontSleep · 10/06/2009 21:23

It's bad from a children missing their daddy pov. Dd said that she will cry if either of us go to work, and that's without even realising that dh will be away all week if he works. Goodness knows how we'll cope at bedtime. Better start weaning her off having dh in with her very soon.

CantSleepWontSleep · 10/06/2009 21:25

Men ronshar! Do you want me to see if dh can get your dh a job working with him?

OP posts:
Marthasmama · 10/06/2009 21:28

I have started a new discussion topic for 'private' chat on the FB group. Please feel free to vent spleen in private.

RachieW · 10/06/2009 21:32

MM- Am dreading the back ones, a friends ds is struggling with them at the moment and is having lots of high temps and upset tummies. Sorry you are feeling so down,is there any chance of you getting to do something nice just for you at some point?

Star- Sorry to hear that dh has been so mean. Mine also gets like this when stressed, not mean in words as such but really stompy and "I just can't talk to you at the moment" which is so upsetting as it's always to do with work and not us but I feel like I get the brunt. I hope he apologises quickly as you don't deserve it.

Marthasmama · 10/06/2009 21:35

Rachie - That would be lovely but I don't know what I would do. I can't say why I don't know as you'll all think I'm strange.

Honeymoonmummy · 10/06/2009 21:47

Hi all, just a quickie to say thanks re the pink dye prob but it had faded by the time DH got home thank god! Plus - I thought fathers day was THIS sunday, poo! And I've just had my request approved by work - I'm off work until the start of January aaaaaagh!!! I'm kind of shitting it now (not on works laptop!) cos we'd been talking about moving in the last few days and that'd be delayed. Oh well, what's done is done and I will love it.

I've got paed appt tomorrow, just finished completing a diary of Poppy's food and sickness. Sad tho it is I'm still writing down all her feed times and I make a note on a scale of 1 to 5 each time she's sick. She's been sick quite a lot today including one quite projectile for first time in aaaages so I spoke too soon re soya I think

Right, I'm off downstairs.

Honeymoonmummy · 10/06/2009 21:48

Oh and DH breaks up for the summer tomorrow yay! that means he gets no money for the summer tho boo!

ronshar · 10/06/2009 22:08

MM. I dont think anything you can say will make us think you are strange.
CSWS, thank you very much for the offer but I really dont think either of them needs any encouragement.

HMM. Let hope you get some real help tomorrow. Well done for making the decision to stay home for a bit longer. Yipee to DH having time off.

Rachie are you back at work? Sorry I'm sure you did say. [ronshar is dumbass]

CantSleepWontSleep · 10/06/2009 22:21

tsk - ronshar forgot to finish her sentence again...
MM. I dont think anything you can say will make us think you are stranger than we already think you are.

Marthasmama · 10/06/2009 22:30

Well, I don't feel like I can treat myself as I am such a disgusting mess. I can't possibly allow myself anything nice as I don't deserve it. I have always had a strange relationship with my body, I have always felt that I am my brain/mind and that I am stuck with this hideous lump of a body. I only ever feel like me when I am thin. I have had eating issues in the past and I am so melodramatic about being fat. I can't handle living in this body, it's not me. I hate it when I see or feel my body as it reminds me of how yuck I am. See, strange!

Marthasmama · 10/06/2009 22:32

Heh heh heh CSWS... I thought that when I read it!

ronshar · 10/06/2009 22:40

Actually I just assumed that was normal for MM
CSWS are you trying to get me into trouble???[frown]
MM please give yourself a break. You are still Bfing M. You will not be as thin as you would like because of this. At the risk of being shot at, have you had help for eating disorders before. It may be time.
There is a huge body of evidence that show's that daughters of women with eating issues grow up to have them too.

Marthasmama · 10/06/2009 22:40

All by myself.... don't wanna be all by myyyysellfff annyyyy mooooore!

Marthasmama · 10/06/2009 22:46

Ronshar - Never had treatment but I am very aware of the need to sort it out before M could be affected. The problem is I can't lose any weight and I am really trying very hard! Ovarian cysts cause weight gain and last time I had one removed I lost loads of weight without any effort. I wouldn't get any treatment as I have no eating disorder at the moment.
