Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
MistergodthisisSal · 03/09/2009 21:06

Ooh I don't know about inches, but it was a huge plate full to the brims - looooooooverly!

(As you might notice, I've abandoned my diet...)

Going camping tomorrow and we are SO under prepared it's rediculous.

What we have:
Tent (haven't set it up as planned, or even watched the dvd for that matter...)
Inflatable mattress, foot pump
Sleeping bags
2 chairs, table
Lantern
Uhm, that's about it
Still no stove or heat source for coffee water etc. And we are leaving tomorrow afternoon straight after work! Shiiiiiiit, am slightly worried. Might take lots of wine! Oh, and keep everything crossed that it doesn't rain so that we can at least cook over the fire if lunch gas stove shopping trip fails!

VeeEsss · 03/09/2009 21:21

I don't eat pizza, luckily, as I seem to pig out on everything else

Scorps hope relate can see you.

Peachy, Come back soon, I only post on this thread here now so it is possible!

Guess what. Panda is in HIS OWN BED tonight Ds1's bed broke so we got the bunk beds ready for when panda can share but hadn't made panda's bit up properly yet and just had his cot there but his mattress came today so thought we'd try it, his cot is still in room just incase but he went to sleep SOOOOO wonderfully.

bunnyrabbit · 04/09/2009 09:06

Wow VS. That's impressive.

Sal, don't worry, there's always takeaway.

Are you taking DS? I would reccomend taking some longlife milk of some sort for DS (I splashed out and bought acouple of the little bottles of toddler milk purely cos they're the perfect size and don't take up any room or need refridgerating.)

Have a fantastic time and don't forget your waterproofs!!

BR

EllieG · 04/09/2009 10:54

Oh bless little panda in his big bed.

Molly is having a good-sleeping few days. I ain't kidding myself that it'll last, but is nice for the moment.

Thanks for the tips BR x

Well done on pizza sal and enjoy camping!

Happy weekends all if I don't catch up later

SuperSoph73 · 04/09/2009 15:09

Hey all. Thanks for all the hellos I said hello then never made it back - work is actually busy for a change. Mainly because the stupid computer system won't do what it's supposed to & all the new students we've had to deal with. Fortunately clubs don't start until the 14th so don't have to start the late afternoons till then ... well, late in school terms, not "real" job terms

Scorps - hope Relate can help.
Peachy - sorry to see you go May mail you from time to time if that's OK just to see how you are
Sal - I adore pizza. I've been trying to re-start my diet but the wine just keeps getting in the way You just can't beat a couple of glasses after work! Our weather is also still really summery so it's still nice to sit on the patio and enjoy your vino

MistergodthisisSal · 04/09/2009 18:23

Oh wow, big bed already?! Go team Panda!

BR, thanks for tips. Yep, ds going with, which is what I blame for half the mountain of stuff we're dragging with! Can't believe how much stuff we have - clearly not doing camping properly yet! But always something to aspire to.

Brilliant news re molly's sleeping ellie. Even if not perm, just the break is great on it's own. May it last for quite a while though!

Soph, once I got over the worst jealousy, your wine plans sounded looooooovely! Might do the same (minus sunshine) this weekend...

We're finally on our way. Keep your fingers crossed that we get the tent to stay up tonight...

LadyBee · 04/09/2009 21:35

Sal you are a braver woman than I. I was freezing standing outside having a pint after work (am I in a dream? is this my life?) Good luck. Come back.

right. Going to read the rest of the thread...while waiting for pizza. Hurrah!

paranoidmummy · 05/09/2009 18:21

Hey guys, no time to catch up on posts but wondering if anyone can help me! Have posted in pushchairs but does anyone here have a P & T Sport and can answer a footmuff question?! Exciting I know!

Scorps · 07/09/2009 09:32

PM, what do you want to know? I am getitng a sport(8 weeks yay!), and the footmuff does go on both seats as a double.

Jamie's first day at school today, bless him. He went in, no fuss darling little boy. Just Mimi & I for 15 nice weeks

I'm so paranoid. DH went to his van before work today, was going on about going to the shop to get milk (we have 12 pints...)and pocket fiddling? Haven't asked though as bad timing...didnt want to ruin jamie's day. At least he came to that - he never ever does school things, but is going to do EVERYTHING now!

DH & I had a chat on friday night; i told him how scared i am of being alone, not with kids but becuase i know he would date again asap and i wouldnt handle that at all (i live in small place, know alot of people and i would hear it even if he didnt say). He did say he wouldnt, he would be 'gutted', would regret it for his life, (he does anyway but ykwim)and he we did discuss money and child visting arrangements. Money was fine, and visting/having them would be dinner x2 evenings (school pickups, home 730pm bathed etc) and 1 weekend day & night, but every other week or third week all weekend. I would be happy (very) with that. He would also spend time here with baby until she could have EBM/FF enough to be away for a day (so 8 months ish). I still hate him, and realise more every day that he is a liar and doesnt deserve us.

Anyway.... (lol) I'm off to enjoy the peace

EllieG · 07/09/2009 12:52

You sound like you are reaching some kind of resolution scorps? When are you deciding what you want to happen? Are you waiting for Relate sessions first?

I went for a job interview this morning for social worker in Fostering and Adoption Team - no more money, but much less stress. Don't think will get it as a) have less experience (ie none) than all the other people going for it and b) I was quite crap in the interview. I don't really mind though as I like my team and am happy to stay, just a change might be nice

Scorps · 07/09/2009 13:05

Good luck Ellie! I'm sure you would be fabulous at it, very caring and supportive

do you know what? If i had more bollocks, i would be alone. And then she can have him, and his 5 kids . Serously though - i think im trying to think family-ish about this, not for me. If i had no children or even wasnt pregnant i think i would be alone.

DH seems unkeen for Relate, wonders why we cant talk, but will go, will 'do whatever you want to make this better for you'

It's so quiet here!!!

VeeEsss · 07/09/2009 13:14

Scorps Am about to FB you about something else btw so keep an eye out
Good luck Ellie.

Well, panda's bed. He is BRILLIANT in it. It's the best he has ever slept, am so surprised. Every evening I say 'Right, nanites now' and he and DS1 clamber up the stairs ask for kisses and climb into bed. I read the story and they both go straight to sleep!! It's amazing

Scorps · 07/09/2009 13:35

What type of bed is it, is it a toddler bed thing? Thats what we will do for Mimi when the baby needs the cot!

Scorps · 07/09/2009 13:38

Has B started FT school this week? Jamie has, and they're same age aren't they?

VeeEsss · 07/09/2009 13:41

IT's bunkbeds. Sooo cute.

YEs B started full-time school this week, he was goign full-time nursery last year though.

He's starting to READ

Scorps · 07/09/2009 13:42

Jamie reads a little, but it will be so cute him having a little book

It's so quiet here, mimi napping, and only having her all day is v odd! Only for 15 weeks and then its the big push, lol

EllieG · 07/09/2009 13:59

Yes scorps, make the most of it cos soon you'll be a leeeetle bit busy!

Maybe I should get a bed for Molly? Does Panda have bedguards or does he just not fall out?

VeeEsss · 07/09/2009 14:00

HE ahs a bedguard. I'll post a picture in a minute. :D

EllieG · 07/09/2009 14:11

oo yes please. I've just bought Molly all new sleeping bags though am wondering about just doing the bed/proper bedding thing. Mind you, she's so wriggly she'd just kick the covers off. Whenever I've tried covers she just ends up all cold.

Scorps · 07/09/2009 14:13

Mimi has cot (is quite big though) and grobag still. I was thinking about 'upgrading' to pillow and quilt especially as winter soon.

VeeEsss · 07/09/2009 14:29

Well, coverwise there is www.gro.co.uk/firstduvet.aspx to stop them kicking them off. So far we haven't found it a problem with Panda but if we do we are getting that.

His bed is tinypic.com/view.php?pic=2saxv1x&s=3 am not sure if him being underneath B makes it better (more closed in) or if he just likes the bed more.

paranoidmummy · 07/09/2009 19:13

Thank you scorps I got myeself very stressed thinking I had just wasted a load of money on saturday but now I feel reassured! I heart my P & T - you will love it. Still sorry to hear things aren't really any better with you and (d)h Its so hard especially when you have children etc. FWIW I think you are doing the very sensible thing by addressing the needs of you and your babies (both born and unborn!)

VeeEsss it is so adorable that he is in his own bed! I can't believe how grown up they all are now. Its so scary. Oh well, 11 days and I'll have another newborn to remind me of the sleepless nights and vomit only kidding, I'm excited really

Hope everyone else is well, I don't get to come on here much nowadays especially since not-so-dh sneakily came on here when i had left the window up for mn and saw my posts and my nickname and really took the mickey out of me for ages!!! I was really embarrassed by the whole matter! So now I only sneak on when I know he's not around - the cheeky bugger

Scorps · 07/09/2009 19:15

11 days i would be shitting myself

paranoidmummy · 07/09/2009 19:50

Yuppppp... I kind of am! Its so very strange to know when she is coming. There's none of the impatient 'oh come on child get out of me!' stage! Its nice in a way but weird! And very very scary. Also I don't know if its me or others feel the same but I feel a little sad to know ds2 won't be my 'baby' anymore! I'm really cherisihing these last couple of wks we have at home alone together now ds1 is back at school and I almost feel a little guilty to him like he'll think I've replaced him or something! Silly I know and logically I know he will get on with it as he will grow up always remembering her being around but it just gives me something to worry about
