lljkk - i feel compelled to point out that we are joking and only call dd naughty when she is being sent to the naughty step, and we only do that a couple of times a week. max.

swottybetty · 16/09/2009 23:26

joking again. i shall shore that up with some excess smilies. is that enough d'ya think?

bold text here. i like it.

All ok here sarah. Posted on another thread though about my uncles neighbour stealing his money so I've been trying to sort that out. Was going to go see him today but DS had croup again (4/5th time) last night so its off to the docs first.

DS has just posted his bib out of the cat flap and is now taking his PJs off and trying his nappy - better go!

sarahmikeharryandrosie · 21/09/2009 17:37

how are you sarah? i hope you are getting to put your feet up occasionally .

alkar. ty for rescue remedy tip - i used to buy them but stopped when they made them alcohol free. hope your ds is ok and sorry to hear about your uncle, i am off now to find your other thread.

breakthrough here with bob. he didnt sleep at all from half five this morning til 1 in afternoon BUT THEN HE FELL ASLEEP IN HIS AMBY HAMMOCK THING. he has slept in it at night for months but never for a nap. usually, we have to prop him on his side between two pillows on a bed, sounds silly but only thing that works. it took him an hour to get to sleep BUT THEN HE SLEPT FOR THREE HOURS. then he woke and was still in an awful mood. i gave him a bit of water cause worried he hadnt poo'd in a week. and then we had a week's worth of poo. gill, you would have been dead interested - we did the full spectrum of poo. green cement, followed by some incredible projectile poo'ing and finally some liquid. then i put him to bed and he fell asleep WITHOUT ANY ROCKING. for the first time in three months. at very best it has taken us a half hour in evening, at worst he has been strapped to us for four/five hours. i feel so upbeat. i dont care if it doesnt happen tomo, i am jyst glad to know it can happen [jump about] [grin again]

x

DS still not well. He has a chesty cough, is wheezy and last night had a temp. Managing to keep the temp under control at the moment. Haven't had a decent nights sleep for a week now. DH was meant to be on duty last night but he's so clueless he wakes me up cos he doesn't know what he's doing

Just rang work and we have loads of people of sick today so my boss asked me if I could go in later. DH is coming home at 1 then I'll go to work, could've done with the day off but oh well.

sarahmikeharryandrosie · 24/09/2009 12:59

hiya all. both dcs asleep am eating bisuits and about to drink a cup of coffee that is... (wait for this... drum roll....)... hot! tis a miracle.

feels like we have turned a teeny bit of a corner. weds was awful with bob (no daytime sleep at all, lots of overtired hysteria), but yesterday was best ever day. it took a little bit of patience, but he had a daytime nap in his hammock (usually we have had to put him on his front on our bed as only way he will nap), and went straight to sleep in evening at 7pm.

sarah - i have heard that headaches in preg are quite common but cant remember the reason. glad bP is not serious. i think i would have gone into work rather than stay at home, def more relaxing.

alkar it must being frustrating not being able to hand over to your dh at night time (not to mention exhausting). sometimes men dont realise making the decisions is half the work. when dh used to try cooking i'd get phone calls from supermarket as he umm'd and ahh'd his way round. hope daniel's feeling better. you guys have had such a rough go of it for such a time now

Gill79 · 25/09/2009 19:38

Hi everyone - it's been a while! The three days a week at work mean work levels and responsibilities beginning to mount up a bit and finding it a bit all-consuming at the moment.

Sarah - I had horrendous headaches about that stage, absolutely horrible. I seem to remember it would sometimes start from having my hair tied tight but once it started would knock me out for the whole day. I didn't take paracetamol either cause don't find it very effective but worth a shot! I thought it would be cause of high blood pressure but actually mine was a bit low.

Well, not much news here. Malcolm being great and cute in many ways (dressing his soft toys up and giving them a book to read this morning) and a real challenge in others. To quote my current bedtime reading: "At this age, little ones discover they have the muscle to manipulate and challenge and are not backward about flexing it. This stage starts gradually after the first birthday with senseless and unthinking acts predominant up to the age of about one and a half years when more considered manipulation takes over."

We had a mildly exciting weekend last week with a gas leak in the kitchen that luckily I noticed before we exploded, so now no hob, and then DP broke someone's window with a sofa. He was helping my friend move house and managed to drop a sofa through her neighbour's window.

Right, am going to have an evening of wine, peep show and sitting still..... have a nice weekend everyone.

Gill79 · 25/09/2009 19:43

Swotty am reminded (a little obliquely) about one of my pregnancy books which recommended dads help out by going to do the supermarket shop, taking a mobile phone so they can call you if they don't know where to find things.

strawberrycornetto · 25/09/2009 23:48

Hello everyone. Hope all well. Sneaking a bit of time on the computer tonight.

Sarah, I also had lots of headaches at that stage in my pregnancy with DS. It wasn't sinister and it did go away. Hope you get some rest this weekend.

Swotty, glad things are getting better. You sound like you're doing really well, my friend's DS is over 1 and still completely random at sleeping.

All ok with us, move plans coming on. DS seems ok except for needing ventolin inhaler a few times this week. So naughty though, I dread to think what the terrible twos hold for us!!

sarahmikeharryandrosie · 26/09/2009 08:33

thanks gill and SC its good to kow its not just me!!!!!!lol

Good to hear from you guys too,

strawberrycornetto · 27/09/2009 22:39

Posting a quick hi while I am on mn. Hope you all had good weekends. We had fun in the sunshine. DS very grumpy this evening though and had to go to bed early!!! Weekends go too fast

swottybetty · 01/10/2009 23:09

cor blimey it's quiet. i am away for a couple of days in cardiff. dh working here and i am catching up with old friends.

one of friends is a very laid back hippy with an eight month old. he semi mobile, but not really crawling and she very laid back about safety. i love her but oh my god it was stressful with esther there. they have all their gardening equiptment and tools (saws, chisels, etc) just scattrered around at toddler height indoors. in the living room, the wood by the fire was all salvaged and had big old nails sticking out. and we were in kitchen for a couple of minutes before i saw the open door to the cellar with just a ladder going down into the darkness. i was but am now really looking forward to her lo getting a bit more mobile so i can bring it up .

hope all are well.

sarahmikeharryandrosie · 02/10/2009 13:40

OMG swotty. thats very laid back!!!!!! i am surprised you did.t end up in A & E!!!!

hope you have a good couple of days away,

its far too quiet in here, if any of u are lurking pop in and say hello i am getting lonely!!!!!

mw signed me off work again (she want me to have 2 weeks rest) as bp was 140/92 on wed. mw not happy as she says i am too stressed and need to chill!!!!LOL (how funny)

seeing gp on monday to get a sick note!!!!! i am also feeling very down in the dumps, hoping its just hormones playing around and nothing too sinister we shall see!!!!!my poor dh seems to get shouted at more often than not!!!!!lol

OP posts:
swottybetty · 02/10/2009 20:43

hey sarah sorry to hear you are feeling low. i got quite bonkers with last pregnancy - lots of shouting at dh and sobbing. then lying in bed considering leaving him, then realising i couldnt remember why i was upset and feeling . the hormones are awful. it does pass. i read somewhere that one of the key hormones produced in first half of preg is the same one as for pmt - only there is up to a thousand times more of it. x

sarahmikeharryandrosie · 03/10/2009 08:18

thanks Swotty thats so reassuring!!!!!

OP posts:
sarahmikeharryandrosie · 05/10/2009 13:43
