Yes No1 good luck . It must be sooo hard to regress from sleeping through. Not , no not me

dizzydixies · 27/04/2009 22:06

dizzydixies · 27/04/2009 22:07

miamla I pity the fool thats going to try to cut it thats for sure!

Miamla · 27/04/2009 22:08

hey dizz, isn't that your wallpaper on the wall in that photo? its obviously meant to be

Miamla · 27/04/2009 22:09

hotpot can't believe you've only just changed pram to pushchair! we did it months and months ago!

dizzydixies · 27/04/2009 22:09

no, sigh, mine isn't that flash. I don't have the wall hung fire either

actually at the moment all I've got is lining paper!!

Miamla · 27/04/2009 22:10

DS does seem v tall/long though compared to other babies of same age (and some even older)

dizzydixies · 27/04/2009 22:11

what about this one?

Miamla · 27/04/2009 22:11

is yours similar or am i going barmy? please answer "similar" even if its a lie!

oooooh forgot to say, has anyone had a Magnum temptation???? oh my are they good! they've got a seam of chocolate sauciness!

Miamla · 27/04/2009 22:13

i do like it (and here come the but!) but personally i think a rug should be symetrical. although that one is better than DP's rug that looked like it was symmetrical but wasn't quite! really used to annoy me and he's the one with mild OCD!

dizzydixies · 27/04/2009 22:15

I keep coming back to this one for some reason

but its DEF not symetrical

dizzydixies · 27/04/2009 22:22

or this one?

this is one of the wallpapers and this is another although I didn't pay that price for it!!

Miamla · 27/04/2009 22:23

ooh but that one's busy enough to not need to be symmetrical (you see, this is why we don't have any rugs in our house!) I really like it, didn't look at price though...

good grief! its expensive!

LoveBuckets · 27/04/2009 22:23

I still don't understand how the baby doesn't fall out/fly about in a pram every time you go up and down a kerb. The number of times I've got caught on a kerb and would have tipped someone out of the pushchair if they weren't strapped in.

Yes, lime and coconut drizzle does sound good doesn't it? Maybe a bit of Jamaican Allspice too or is that pushing it? Although I have been truly gluttonous this week, I at 2 bags of Revels yesterday - that thrill you get from eating sweets secretly in very close proximity to child is quite addictive. Tell you what though (TMI) the more I put in the more I seem to poo - have spent all day stuffing my face or popping to the loo.

Decor opinions wanted please while we're on the subject. For my fantasy lounge makeover, I am having a scarlet sofa from Ikea. Curtains will need to be pale as it's v sunny and they fade quickly so gold at the darkest. For walls I am thinking either another old gold, totally clashing terracotta or a faded dusty red. Floor is dark wood and woodwork is white (can't be bothered to paint that). Theme is womb-like and snuggly.

Miamla · 27/04/2009 22:24

those wallpapers are beautiful and a definite yes to that last rug too!

i'm off to google for you to see if i can find one at a better price!

hotterpotter · 27/04/2009 22:25

That's a lovely one Dizzy but I preferred the first (more expensive) one.

Just been up to DS already, he was howling poor boy . Full of cold probably not the best day to move him...

Miamla I should have got him in the pushchair months ago, but he napped in the pram, I loved seeing his smiley face as I pushed him, and I could balance a basket on it in the supermarket . He was getting fed up of having to bend his knees to fit in though

LoveBuckets · 27/04/2009 22:25

This red

dizzydixies · 27/04/2009 22:26

buckets I was looking at nice gold paint paint at B&Q today - you need to get it mixed up though and have just fallen in love with these curtains

lime and coconut cake sounds good (minue the coconut for me though) but you could always make a lemon and lime cake - they're lovely

dizzydixies · 27/04/2009 22:27

right ladies, big green rose, big flower rug from ebay or butterfly one?!

Miamla · 27/04/2009 22:29

buskets i've spotted typo but didn't think you'd mind! Sounds like you'd even be challenging me and the quantity of food i'm eating at the moment! i'm having two lunches most days. i guess its down to bf still but the weight is still dropping off me, i'm lighter now than pre-pg. i'm getting a bit worried because its really hard for me to put weight back on again. sorry to all reading this with opposite problem, i'm not bragging, it really is a problem but not quite sure what i can do about it

dizzydixies · 27/04/2009 22:29

hotter did you mean you liked the £650 Orla Keily rug?!? tis lovely but am afraid about 10times past my budget

hotterpotter · 27/04/2009 22:30

Buckets they are lying down and have a poppered cover on, so no way to fall out, unless you really bump it Your room sounds a classier version of my actual lounge - red sofa, yellow walls and yellow blending into red curtains

Talking of poo, the washing machine started pouring water all over the kitchen floor today, DH managed to unblock the pipe and there was definitely some poop in amongst the greasy yuck stuck in the pipe [eww]

Miamla · 27/04/2009 22:31

those curtains are gorgeous!

i'm still rug shopping brb

cyteen · 27/04/2009 22:31

hotter I'm amazed your DS tolerated lying flat for so long. Joe indicated quite firmly that he'd had enough of laying flat, thank you (not to mention becoming too chunky to comfortably fit in the pram anymore ) so we had to swap it over a while ago. These days he seems to have taken against the pushchair altogether. Not a day goes by without him having a wail and a whinge while we're out and about

Maybe he's just desperate to be seen in the Miamla-tai!

Had a test run for the cupcakes I'm making for my friend's wedding. They turned out lovely but rather a lot seem to have made their way into my mouth

Meant to say Sazzles how is your decluttering going? We've been shedding stuff with a will in the lead up to the next house move, just this evening someone came round to pick up our TV table thing. She arrived just as I was in the climactic moments of cooking an epic fried tea and DP was upstairs shushing the baby. God knows what she must have thought.

dizzydixies · 27/04/2009 22:33

Lindt truffle anyone ?!?
