Oops From your description you seem to be married to Mr Darcy!

TS Have you considered moving your mailbox a foot or so? I scraped another car's bumper trying to parallel park the other day. My friend who lives on the street just said don't worry, this is a shit neighbourhood, they'll think themselves lucky it was just a scrape!

Steaky Great news about the sleep and the teamwork. Do you think there'd be a market in France for handmade English style baby clothes - you know, shabby chic, Boden-esque, Cath Kidston? You could do a French Ebay store. And maybe colourful quilty things?

Miamla That's so weird about your greenhouse! Bet if you'd Freecycled it you wouldn't have had a single biter!

Well I've had a goodish day so far. Had some great sex last night, was so nice to be excited about something. GP was unpatronising and I have bloodtests booked for tomorrow. Someone came round and bought most of my nappies. Salmon and cheese puff pastry pie just cooling down now.

9m old now and STILL no sign of teeth!!! But he is now doing yogic flying (bouncing along on his bottom) as he can't make the transition from sitting to crawling without head injury.

Miamla · 06/05/2009 17:46

buckets i feel a bit about not putting it on freecycle. so many people in my area are after greenhouses

lol re yogic flying. a truly fantastic skill to master!

I have to confess something..... When DD woke me again at 6.30 this moring I threatened to put her on Ebay and when DH said it was illegal I said 'well I'll freecycle her then'

She has been asleep 5 whole minutes and is crying already!

Buckets - he is just like Mr Darcy but with less hair

I wish I drank so I too could shut out the wakeups!

no1putsbabyinthecorner · 06/05/2009 20:09

However sazzles he has also eaten loads today. Full weetabix and banana then toast and apricots and basically not stopped all day. Refused all milk though. I managed to get him to have a bf at bedtime then woke up and had 4oz of formula .I hoping he ate so much he wont wake up (yeah right)
dizzy how drunk was your dh then?? wont a 2hr taxi drive have cost ££££££££
hi vg

no1putsbabyinthecorner · 06/05/2009 20:11

steaky sorry. Glad you are ok and the sleep front is looking much better. Thats great. I agree sneak it earlier each night.

TwilightSurfer · 06/05/2009 20:15

Nice Oops. Free cycle is probably easier.

Appraisal report just arrived (might fast) and it came in just above my imaginary number. My bank rep emailed to say title work is in process and closing will be soon. WOW! >>breath

LoveBuckets · 06/05/2009 20:28

Crazies like you then TS Oh did I thank you for introducing me to Skippy John Jones btw? It's a family favourite now, accents and all.

The mehness has arrived this evening and no DH to make it go away with his amazing sexual powers. What shall I do? Crappo telly night, can't be bothered to run a bath, tried reading last night but something about the print makes me feel meh. Feel like going to bed to make the evening go faster but the real me says that's a bad habit to get into. Facebook games and poor-posture-inducing-chair it is then.

TwilightSurfer · 06/05/2009 21:06

Buckets when I get in the mood you're in I turn pull up iTunes and check out the latest releases. I end up spending an hour or so listening to music of all types (and sometimes end up having in spent all my madd money). {{{hugs}}} And I'm very glad Skippy John Jones bounces well in your home too. HOLY FRIJOLES!!

My shopping skills are crap today. I just brought in the bags from our spree across town and found the WRONG SIZE nappies!!!!!

hotterpotter · 06/05/2009 21:09

Evening all

Sorry to hear you're feeling meh again Buckets. Did you decide what to do about your curtain pole? I would deffo be in the camp of just paint rather than replaster [lazy] until it gets so bad that you can feel the plaster crumbling behind the wallpaper, and not always even then

Glad to hear some babies have improved their sleep and sory that some of you are going through a rough patch. DS getting pretty good, he didn't wake till after 6 today, quick feed then back to sleep although he was still up for the day at 7. DH brought him down, and I went back to sleep until 9am , so why do I still feel like shit? I'm so tired all the time and have some sinusy kind of headache . Have even started to take the pregnacare vitamins I couln't face while pregnant oh well better late than never

hotterpotter · 06/05/2009 21:11

TS I hope the nappies are too big then at least DD2 will grow into them

hotterpotter · 06/05/2009 21:19

Have been sorting through clothes today - there were 4 suitcases in the loft with various stuff in. Have managed to sort out 2 big bags for charity and a load for ebay too. So now I have one suitcase full of winter clothes including winter stuff for ebay, one of clothes that nearly fit me, and a bag of clothes from days past I have christened the 'in my dreams' bag. One skirt I remember from being 19, it only comes half way round my waist now [fat git]. Still, you've got to have goals . I will be along to Hot Mamas shortly

dizzydixies · 06/05/2009 21:23

hi all had a bit of a strange day here. DD2 enjoyed her day very much with the Poppys and was delighted to tell her dad all about it when he got home - so thank you very much again Poppy

DH has returned rather battered and bruised but at least at the right time and not in a very £££££££ taxi

my uncle passed away this afternoon so it has been a hectic day of phone calls etc. I very stupidly have no passport for Dylan and can't get an emergency one in time, the funeral is set for 3pm on Fri so with all the best will in the world I couldn't either get there or express enough milk/arrange childcare in time. My brother and dad booked to fly over tomorrow (Spain) but dbrother has just phoned to say that his passport expired 2 days ago so he now won't manage to go either. I feel awful that I can't go and support my cousins and aunt we've also decided to cancel the christening so been a but busy with all that.

sorry for crappy post, will try to catch up properly tomorrow - sleepy baby wishes to you all

hotterpotter · 06/05/2009 21:28

Oh Dizzy so sorry to hear this . Sending love to you and yours

oopsacoconut · 06/05/2009 21:29

Miamla · 06/05/2009 21:30

oh dizz, what a horrible thing to happen to your family. i'm sure your aunt and cousins will know that you'd be there if you could. at least your dad can go to represent you all xx

oopsacoconut · 06/05/2009 21:32

I am off to bed now - too tired to cope. I am seeing my Personal trainer tomorrow and having my repeat bloods taken - ooh what an exciting day

Hi HP bye HP

hotterpotter · 06/05/2009 21:44

Sazzles you are a fount of knowledge

TS has it stopped raining? I hope the water level is going down a bit. To show solidarity I have put a photo on my profile of our garden in June 2007. We had water about 2 feet deep down the bottom thank flip it never reached the house (although we sat and watched it creep nearer, was quite scary). Luckily the garden is quite a bit lower than the house and slopes away, although people round the corner were not so lucky .

We were really lucky actually, it wasn't river water just groundwater that seeped up because the water table raised above ground level so it was quite clean and didn't leave any mess behind [phew]

hotterpotter · 06/05/2009 22:15

OK it's too quiet here so I'm off to bed.

Don't all come and start chatting now or I'll be getting paranoid

Night-night
