On the RL newborns and names, Dizzy - I have some crackers for you from RL friends who've popped in the last month or so. Won't post them here, but worthy of some discussion when we next meet.

What what what someone calling my name? Me staircases, never fell down one in my life, specially not when I was too drunk to remember, woke up with a black eye and had to go to dance class at 9am the next morning still with the glitter on me face, oh no sir not me sir.

Bet my stairs are worstest - outside stairs, concrete, v worrying when traversing in heels.

poppy - I didn't know that your DD was an Emily - it was one of my much wanted, but DH disapproved names for Izzy.

steaky if one were to try to get from London to Carcassonne on the train am I right that they'd get the Eurostar to Paris and have to change there and head for Tolouse?

LOL steaky. I wanted Izzy, but DH wouldn't be budged from Emily! My sister jumped on the bandwagon though and snapped up the name 3 months later.

BTW Dizzy did you know you can get a direct train from Leuchars to the continent? It takes you down on the Sleeper and then swaps you onto a daytime Eurostar. They have some incredibly cheap tickets (subsidised) from time to time. Is that what you're thinking at the mo?

A friend swears by a website called seat 61 and rekons she can get from West Midlands/Welsh Boarders to Marseille for less than a 100 quid.

But yes I would have thought eurostart to Paris then TGV south.
I've only ever got the TGV to Marseille - it is 3 hours as appose to the 6 on a normal train.

I just tried the sites but they are taking forever to load. Sorry not to be more help.

Me, me, me sazzles! Seriously, would be up for some sort of meet-up while we're down at the end of May (almost this month - how?). Easiest for me would prob. be something west countryish during w/c 18th or London/SE the following week if it suits anyone....

Steaky is the Champers in honour of our DD's 8 month b-day? Remember too much champers can make more babies! or atleast that was the excuse a friend used when she told me she was pg again her youngest was born in Jan!

my little monkey is 9 months today!

and his stats are as follows:

tries to open everything and if he manages it, then empties the contents of the drawer/cupboard onto the floor

has no concept of sharing and wants a toy even more if someone else is playing with it

crawls almost as fast as I can walk (especially if I've forgotten to close the living room door to the hall)

favourite toys are my purse and his little car from albs

favourite word is "aaaamamamamamaamamamamaaaa"

giggles at the drop of a hat, especially if I've just told him off for biting me (with his 4 teeth)

is very free with his smiles, especially complete strangers in the street!

not very interested in food, still loves his bf

will only poo if he's standing up (potty training's going to be fun!)

can stand without support for about 20 seconds

and never rarely sleeps! he's never slept for more than 3 hours in one go but I still love him and all his cheekiness
