you'd think after 33 threads we'd have all the answers by now.

Sazzles I think it might be the Alpiness of it all. Very confusing as it has been beautiful here the last week. Trees in bloom, birds singing, sun shining and now snow snowing.

Tis a festival of grey here too and yet I must venture into town for some new contact lense solution. The glamour never starts stops, eh?

Sibh · 16/04/2009 11:09

Turn that guilty pleasure to good professional use Cyteen.

A former colleague of mine and his wife fellow philospher published this after substantial academic research about five years after their first child was born. Go figure ...

Tis all culcha I suppose

I am still pmsl at Baby-led Video Watching. Pure genius.

Of course my dear. Just let me swap my Penney's/Primark cropped jeans for something more suited for the modern Bodenista with time on her manicured hands.

hi!

thanks. reese is still stuffy but appears to be managing well. she's playing with a cardboard box in my kitchen at the moment. as long as she allowed to roam freely about the house she is happy. the cat doesn't like it but whatcha gonna do, heh.

please no more talk of ttc or previous ttc stories. very very very wanty right now. just need to get over this hump. i think my o day came and went so i should be landing back on planet reality soon. dh is doing an excellent job avoiding me at all cost. makes me kinda mad. if it goes on for too much longer i'm going to have to ask if things got broken in the snip-snip recovery process.

expectant i want to know which celeb mum i am but can't find the quiz. i looked over your page but got side tracked on that condom commercial. made me fall over laughing.

reese has now found the pots and pans. joy.

sazzles thank you for clarifying the wifely duty as shopping because wifely duty typically means and that's just tmi. lol.

three metal pots and one plastic pitcher out now. i think she's reaching for the pot tops next. nope another pot. now she's off to look through the cat door again.

Sazzles Pocoyo is on CITV, not sure when as I've had to bar some of the older kids' channels because of DS1's parroting!

Speaking of DS1's behaviour, he has just written OSO on some paper all by himself, all his idea, just showed me the finished work! "I writed O-S-O." I knew he could write Noah because his one-to-one lady at pre-school showed him how and he picked it up straight away. But this is just letters he's seen on tv (from Secret Agent Oso) and copied. I actually cried I was so impressed, he's never been into writing and drawing either so it's amazing to see him do it off his own bat. I also asked him which hand he'd used and he said "I used my left hand" pointing at it. Mind you, all my kids amaze me all the time, am very much feeling the upside of 3 kids today - the more kids, the more minor miracles you get to witness. Sorry TS I know that doesn't help your mood.

Cyteen, good news on housefront. What's the betting you'll just get settled and your DH will get a job down South!

Sibh, PMSL at that book! Great father's day pressie...

dizzydixies · 16/04/2009 18:05

realises she must be on wrong thread, all this talk of yummy mummy non creased clothing, lippy, yoga and manicures

hooterpooter · 16/04/2009 19:19

Those of you who don't know, I didn't get the job. I am absolutely gutted about it - it feels like I've been dumped Spent most of yesterday sobbing but I have calmed down today thank goodness. So after 5 years of hard work they have tossed me aside like a bunch of bastards in favour of the woman who has been doing my job while I've been off, and my other team mate who frequently falls asleep at his desk Well it's their loss the twats misguided fools. Apparently I met the required level to gain the promotion but those two scored higher during the interview so they get it instead. Grrrr. So HR will find me another job, flip knows what it will be, and as soon as I go back I will be applying for every suitable promotion I see. Effing business continuity is shit anyway

OK rant over, I actually feel a bit better writing it all down . And thanks for the messages on facebook too Time to get DC ready for bed, back later.

Makka Pakka, Akka Wakka, Mikka Makka moo! Makka Pakka, Appa yakka, Ikka akka, ooo Hum dum, Agga pang, Ing, ang, ooo Makka Pakka, Akka wakka, Mikka Makka moo!

DS loves ITNG!

sorry girls, i've skimmed most of the messages but did spot my name in bold a few times.... Sooooooo... who wants a miamla-tie TM? Very comfy for front, back and hip carries

seriously, I will happily make an MT or a wrap for any of you lovely ladies. You can design it exactly how you want, fabric type, colour, size, length of straps (if you go for an MT). Want a matching bag? done! want a zipped pocket in the straps? done! sleep hood? done!

oh and there's a change to the status report re DS..he's standing on his own without holding onto anything! And I think we're having the terrible twos early too.. if i say "no" to him, he sits down, kicks his feet, thumps his hands on the floor and screams until i've distracted him with something else. Its a struggle to not laugh at his little temper tantrums!

dizzydixies · 16/04/2009 19:43

sazz I tried there but they didn't want me

back later, have come down from putting Dylan down to discover that DD2 has been 'painting' the floor, 'drinking' her yogurt and torturing playing with the dog

Miamla · 16/04/2009 19:43

oh hotter i x posted. sorry to hear you didn't get the job but i agree with sazz, buggery bollox to them all

dizzydixies · 16/04/2009 19:44

VG welcome home, can't wait to hear how it all went

no1putsbabyinthecorner · 16/04/2009 20:20

upsy daisy here i come im the only upsy one im the only daisy doo ipsy upsy daisy doo
my dd loves intg and as she watches it -alot-- sometimes ds sees it too and his eyes are glued to it, and he laughs his head off.

I like pocyo too, my dniece calls Marcus pocyo as he has a hat very similar.

hooter so sorry for you I can't believe that kind of thing happens tbh. They don't deserve you.

miamla I would love love love one Please. Let me know how to sort things out.

Rough night here too, up 4 times with ds, usually feeds in about 7 minutes. When I got in bed realised I had been sat an hour above each time. he was suckling for comfort again. I need to get strict but just sooooo tired.(but its so tiring just sat waiting for 'lrt down' and nothing happening.
Sorry for you all with bad nights too.

buckets thanks for the holiday links will check them out shortly.
Re Moon cup I agree it is soooo much more hygenic than anything else, and my period is so heavy, never ever had one like this before.
I freaked my sister and dh out with it though.

I managed to sneak off and leave dcs with dh while I went to help sort stock and unpack and steam clothes for mum new shop.
I have had my fix of sniffing all the saddles and bridles, mmmmmmm. and rummaging through all the other bits and bobs, boots, hats grooming kits etc....
dh said ds was an angel, but he can't cope with dd lashing out at ds all the time, he said he turned his back for a second and she was almost standing on his back not to mention other things she tried to throw again don't know what to do tbh

LoveBuckets · 16/04/2009 20:32

OMG Miamla he is really going for it isn't he?! Miamla is a great name for a sling actually, isn't it?

Fab sunset here, with next door's blossom too it's like one of the Japanese prints I've got in my lounge. DH has gone out to play with drummer friend tonight which is good, he's still off with a cold and trying to deal with antidepressant dosage change so it'll do him good to get out. I really ought to give him a bit of bed therapy but AF has depleted my energies this week, am way too lethargic myself.

Hotter Horrid news but I'm sure it's meant to be, something better will come along. And you can spend this time thinking up ways to freak out those two colleagues. Like mysterious knowing smirks whenever they start talking. Or rearranging their desks when they're out. Or leaving peculiar charity shop items on their seats. Anything to make them paranoid.

LoveBuckets · 16/04/2009 20:35

No1 If your DH is now confident with DS, you could make a date with your DD, remind her that you still belong to her too.
