oh and I meant to do my Dylan Update

5 teeth and one pending
still bfeeding but mainly morning and evening with a boob shoved in there for good measure during the day
sitting up unaided and almost crawling
no interest in up on her feet at all although goes like a demon in the walker at my PIL
yabbering on more AT people than to them (wonder who she gets that from)
loves dancing
can sleep through when she feels like it but its not often

hotcrosspotter · 13/04/2009 22:00

Don't be Dizzy, some of us have never had a sleep-through

oopsacoconut · 13/04/2009 22:04

Ladies, have been browsing US shops to see where to take DD shopping Who would like me to bring them one of these back for their DD's?? [snob] and these for their DS's??

hotcrosspotter · 13/04/2009 22:06

Ewwww no thanks!

dizzychixies · 13/04/2009 22:08

oops get yourself down to Target and Old Navy

right, all quiet upstairs so off to pop another load in the washing machine and then to MY bed for me

nice to be home ladies, hope you all sleep well (or as well as can be)

hotcrosspotter · 13/04/2009 22:12

Good to have you back Dizzy, sleep well

Laptop battery about to expire here an I can't be arsed to get up and plug it in so I'm off too. Night all

oopsacoconut · 13/04/2009 22:14

It's night from me too incase we have the 23 wake ups for no reason again tonight!

Sleep well everyone.

TwilightSurfer · 14/04/2009 02:52

Oops the bank holiday was Friday. Oh both those outfits can be found a TJMaxx for half the price. Surely they have one in New York. Save your Bloomies purchase for Bloomers. I've always wanted to say that.

Sibh I'd go with dark navy, charcoal or black carpet.

HP...vibes your way.

Dizzy...you were gone? Hmm how'd I miss that??

Reese still not 100% but no ear infection...yet. Seems there might be one starting but we'll just do the wait and see.

I am plum tired beyond belief. Reese is crying now so hopefully she'll get her fuss out so I can SLEEP tonight.

Will hopefully have time tomorrow to do a proper read THROUGH of the new thread. Crap speller that I am.

Oh, Hi Sky. Good to see you!!

Night

Morning All

Can you tell she slept??? DD woke at 11.30 so I gave her a huge feed and put her in bed, she chatted and coo'd for 35minutes and then was out like a light until 7.15am It has been 12 weeks since that last happens but am not holding out for it to happen again.

back in a bit with breakfast offerings.

Cailleachna · 14/04/2009 08:44

Hi again! Callie is fine, much easier for everyone on the spelling. I'm not in Ireland; I'm a pagan and the name comes from the Celtic hag goddess The Cailleach. I did used to go out with someone who lived in Ireland though, if that helps. I'm based in Kent, the VERY early morning post the other day was actually an up-late, rather than an up-early; as I mentioned before I work nights at the weekend.

I am feeling a bit smug this morning as DD slept through WITHOUT the aid of her swaddle last night; DH has been insisting on using it recently because she was finding it so hard to stay settled and was clawing her head to ribbons again, but I'm off work this week and taking her to my parents', so I thought I'd take advantage to try and break the habit (parents don't really approve of swaddling at her age, although they do acknowledge that it's up to us!)

to those who are still on maternity leave. I hope you are enjoying your remaining time with your little ones. Coconut, the rugby outfit would look great on my DD - her granddad would LOVE it!!!

cyteen · 14/04/2009 09:27

Hi SKY good to hear from you

Welcome home dizzy, so glad you had a good time. Don't worry about the strop - I too am having some difficult times at the moment but it's reminding me why love is so important i.e. those who love you will gladly put up with you in dark times!

Extraordinary news here, Joe slept through last night! And not just a small hours stretch either, a proper 7-7 job (with just one not-really-awake shushing required at around 10pm). Feel so pleased for him; sadly muggins here did not really get the benefit as I was awake at 4.30am needing a wee and then couldn't get back to sleep again. Am struggling with life a bit just now as April is the bad month for me - 2nd anniversary of my brother's death is in 2 weeks - and I find I am constantly tense. I go to bed feeling like shit and wake up just the same, aching all over, headachey from grinding my teeth all night, and feeling so unrested is not helping me stay positive. Also finding it difficult to get in the mood for sex, which in turn means no sex to help me relax! And just as we've reclaimed our bedroom too.

Anyway, sorry for epic moan. DP is being lovely and kind and understanding; he has ordered me off for a swim this evening, saying he will do bedtime for Joe, so hopefully that will help.

hcp GOOD LUCK! I'm sure you'll wow them. We will all be singing 'H C P, easy as 1 2 3'...oh wait, that sounds wrong doesn't it?

simnel303 · 14/04/2009 09:27

Morning ladies

welcome back dizzy I'm glad you enjoyed your holiday. I've always fancied a trip over to Ireland, could really do with a break atm

welcome callie, hi oops v of this sleeping through... another night of hourly waking here..why? [very bored of it emoticon]

I am going to work next Tuesday, was thinking ds had improved but now I'm worried I'll be in a right state next week due to lack of sleep. Also ds is refusing to drink from a bottle again

had mega argument with dp yesterday, built up due to lack of sleep as ds back to hourly or less wake ups (teeth?) and I flounced off to the park for 3 hours leaving him to deal with hungry/upset ds. I was surprised to feel lovely and free and came back feeling out of love with ds for the first time and almost resentful of him causing me this constant debilitating tiredness. It's being compounded now by day time naps of 2 x 20 mins and ds being overtired all day and me not getting any catch up sleep. DP now back sleeping on a mattress downstairs.

sorry it's all about me, feeling very down atm

at least the sun is shining

simnel303 · 14/04/2009 09:36

well done Joe, that is fantastic progress!!!

cyteen your dp sounds fab

hotpot I hope it goes well today - that job title sounds very public sector, am I right?

CaptainCaveman · 14/04/2009 09:37

ds2 still spotty - off to docs at 10.30 Oh well, if its nothing then at least I got the morning off work

hotpot I will be praying that your ABC interview goes AOK

Welcome home dizzy, I have a nice line of clomipramine I could share?!

sibh I have nothing of worth to contribute to the carpet question, except that cream carpets don't work for me. They look lovely but dirty the instant you look at them!

CaptainCaveman · 14/04/2009 09:43

cyteen and oops please send your babies round to have a word with Oliver? Still woke up for x2 feeds last night (not counting the 6am feed). I was too tired to refuse him a feed - perhaps unwise in the great scheme of things but am knackered.

Sorry you're feeling down cyteen, nothing I can say except we're all here for you.

Got to get showered and ready to go to docs.

Enjoy your day whatever you have planned!

Expectant · 14/04/2009 09:46

Hi All,

Dizzy welcome home - glad you had a good time

Skytvaddict welcome home back

Steaky hope there is light at the end of the tunnel.

HP good luck with the interview

Cailleachna welcome. My DS no 1 born 08.08.08. I'm originally from the UK but have been living here in Singapore for just over 2 years now. Very of all that sleep. We had an awful night last night. I stupdly watched an episode of Without a Trace where a Mum with PND accidentally smothered her baby as she was drunk and drugged up bfeeding her and passed out on top of her. So when I eventually gave up and bought DS into the bed with us that was all I could think about. Was none too productive at work this morning...

Expectant · 14/04/2009 09:51

Ooooh and 10 days to go

Expectant · 14/04/2009 09:57

Simnel sorry appear to have missed your post.

Can only say I feel exactly the same at the moment. Was going to suggest DH slept in spare room tonight too as at least one of us might be able to function properly and I know all the bickering is only due to lack of sleep and nothing more.

oopsacoconut · 14/04/2009 10:01

Will someone please send a baby with standing knowledge here to explain to DD when she pulls up to stand she needs to hold on or she will topple backwards again and again and again!

Cyteen - {{{{Hugs}}}} and more {{{{hugs}}}}.

Hi Expectant - getting excited yet?

SKYTVADDICT · 14/04/2009 10:03

Bad night here too. I woke at 1.30am for some unknown reason and couldn't get back to sleep. DD1 (12) was also awake for ages at the same time. I was awake about an hour. DS1 (23 months) woke at 3am, had a bottle and was awake for an hour. Lewis woke at 4.30, had a bottle and was awake for 1/2 an hour. Lewis then woke for the day at 6.30!

Poor DP gets up at 6am and was back at work today after the long weekend. Unfortunately we don't have a spare room. Luckily both boys weren't awake at the same time which sometimes happens.

Surely this has to end sometime?

SKYTVADDICT · 14/04/2009 10:04

Sorry no standing knowledge here. Lewis does really well in the baby walker but that is about it.

up once last night here too and then gave up trying to put her down and kept her in with us, made DH get up with her after her feed though - he can at least do something useful before fecking off to work I KNOW its not his fault but am still being very childish about it all

he arrived into work on Sun to find a court citation for this morning - I've got us ALL booked in to the dentist this morning, them for their checkups and me for some work, so instead of letting me know I FOUND it in a polybag last night so I don't have time to arrange something but I can't keep all 3 in with me during root canal and will probably now get charged for a missed appt will take them up for their check ups and try to grovel at least SO he's away to court this morning and then starts in ernest at 4pm for a late shift holiday really over then

tiles that I ordered beginning of March, for the kitchen splashback (needed done 2yrs ago ) arrived this morning - chipped and with no return note and to add insult to injury I went online to find that they've been reduced in price too GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR - shall be going to homebase later on to throwamassivehissyfit complain

well done the sleeping babies and huge sympathy to those who weren't

callie am dreading going back on nights, I've taken unpaid leave and annual leave to stretch it all out till Aug when DD1 summer hols are over, childcare was just too expensive. Oh and I'm from Scotland, have 3 DDs and an Irish DH

oh FFS who the feck put Dumbo on?!? am about to start crying my lamps out - may help with the dentist pleading I suppose if I look like a loon when I arrive

dizzychixies · 14/04/2009 10:15

CC thanks for the offer, you shall here on be known as thread dealer I've actually still got some citalopram from DD2 but I'm not to sure about self diagnosing and like my GP and its still free so why the heck not

cyteen am sorry this is such a tough time for you, I understand exactly how you feel. It was easter weekend last year when mum was told that there was absolutely no hope and I think I'm still reeling a bit from mothers day - I was standing at the farm over the weekend thinking how much she would have loved the place and seeing all the kids running free. I can only take comfort in the hope that she IS seeing somehow and is still with us in some way. Not sure if that helps you at all, just don't want you to feel on your own with it all {{{{{{hugs and choc eggs}}}}}

sazz well done on the gracious defeat

TS try to grab some rest where you can, you sound shattered

right off to get sorted for dentist, hotter best of luck, shall send positive thoughts whilst trying not to look too constipated

dizzychixies · 14/04/2009 10:16

oh God they've just put Mrs Jumbo in the cage marked Mad Elephant, why do I get the feeling there's one of those out there for me [wails][sob][meep]

really going now
