Hi Dizzy

Well today went well and we are all finally home having dumped DH's clients and ordered chinese takeout instead. DD was amazing and the wrap from Miamla was a God send so a BIG thank you thank you thank you to you Miamla

Now trying to see what has been sky+'d to keep me amused until a collapse asleep.

Steaky {{{HUGS}} Ihope you can work something out.

On the Irish man front - that is exactly what my mum wanted for me - a good Irish Catholic boy, instead I got me a fab English Prodestant instead. but I do melt for the accent

Sazzles - hope you are sitting drinking copious quantities of wine with 2 sleeping girls downstairs.

Miamla · 18/04/2009 20:57

thanks oops, always lovely to hear that my creations are working well

no1putsbabyinthecorner · 18/04/2009 21:01

oops sounds good day. I think what that guy did was lovely (sack)

oopsacoconut · 18/04/2009 21:05

It was amazing No1 - he just walked in bid and bought it - went to pay and when he came to collect it he said - please give it back to her, she deserves to keep her own history! It made me cry (as does everything since DDwas born!)

oopsacoconut · 18/04/2009 21:10

Miamla - they way the fabric is cut seems to make it not so stretchy long ways IYSWIM the stretches really well to cover her but not the long way so when I put her in I don't have to tighten it at all but can hide her totally when she is sleeping, which I did today when I was on he phone taking bids.

And a friend told us today she is expecting her first LO in November I am so excited for her as she has wanted it for ages but her DP wasn't ready then.

Miamla · 18/04/2009 21:17

oops i'm really pleased! so what did the guy buy but not take home? i thought i'd read everything but i've obviously missed something!

hi no1, glad you had a good day. hope you brought home the correct little monkeys!

oopsacoconut · 18/04/2009 21:22

He bought a mail bag which the last survivor from the Titanic was selling to pay for her care home fees - it was given to her famiily when they returned from New York to carry their belongings.

Miamla · 18/04/2009 21:27

aah, that's so sweet!

TwilightSurfer · 18/04/2009 23:41

HELLO!! Very outdoorsy here today. No sleeping in with both girls up by 7:30am. Attempted some while they ate breakfast infront of the tv-sitter. Reese decided she wasn't happy...cue me trying to tune out screaming from other room...ending with me NOT getting what I want!!!!! When Mama ain't happy NOBODY IS HAPPY! I've reminded my spouse that ALL DAY LONG. Channeled my loss into other areas and acheived some good things around the house. More still to do but at least it's more than what I achieved all week long.

ALSO, my internet based sitter service is paying off. I have two interviews lined up for this week so far. I emailed six ladies so that's pretty good in my book. I've been very impressed with their resumes and references...education is very important to me since sitters are typically looked up to by youngsters. Wish me luck! First interview is a jogger-walking one at the local mall. It's multi-tasking at it's best PLUS I'll be able to get a feel for her ENDURANCE.

Sounds like most of you have had lovely days.

Steaky it's nice to hear your DH is taking the first step. Sometimes our loves can surprise us.

Sazzles when you are finished I have a few rooms I haven't gotten to yet. AND my hardwoods are embarrassing.

I have a really bad travel bug right now. I've been watching the travel channel all weekend. LOADS of beaches all over the world. Yesterday I watched one about SPAIN. IBIZA looks awesome for those of you seeking a new local. It's still nothing like our Carribean. My new love is Provo in TURKS & CACIOUS. OMG!! IT IS BEAUTIFUL!!!!!!

The other people that live here with me want food and I'm guessing that's my cue to do something. So off to whip up a masterpiece. LOL!!

I might be back. If not, have a wonderful rest.

Morning all, a bit bleary eyed here, not because of the girls but because I think I'm coming down off a varnish high from last night sat and varnished the doors catching up on 3 episodes of ER so it was an emotional rollercoaster all round!!!

french toast and apple juice ok for Sun morning?

oops thats a great story, I love it when someone shows you human kindness with no hidden adgenda still exists

TS well done on your channelled energies and I agree, Ibiza is beautiful but would love to get to the Carribean one day (soon!!!)

dry but cool here today so think I may indulge in a touch of central heating this morning, just till we all get going properly - all up and round the table now so I'm off to put in some time

alittlebitshy · 19/04/2009 08:05

Morning.

crumpets with butter, honey (or nutella anyone? and tea by the vat!

dizzydixies · 19/04/2009 08:07

morning ALBS, your brekkie sounds infinately nicer than mine

glad you had a nice time in Ireland, I understand what your mean about the 2nd house though as that was the reason we hired a cottage, my friend has a lovely new build town house, really gorgeous, but steep stairs into it & upstair to the bedrooms and not enough room for 5 of us to pile in and disrupt their life and leave all speaking was the right idea and we had a great time doing it are you glad to be home? did you get a better sleep last night?

oopsacoconut · 19/04/2009 08:08

Moring All
WHY o WHY did this child decide last night was the night not to sleep.

Thanks for juice and french toast Dizzy do you mind if i cover it in syrup???

TS your day sounds very active

oopsacoconut · 19/04/2009 08:08

x post Morning ALBS can I have some tea too?

dizzydixies · 19/04/2009 08:11

oh dear Oops, what was wrong? just generally unsettled from excitement of yesterday/teeth/no reason other than she's a baby and feels its her right?!?

hotterpotter · 19/04/2009 08:12

TS you are a funny lady . You're right about Ibiza too, it is a beautiful island and fabulous place to go for a holiday. In fact our last four holidays (including our honeymoon) have been to there . DD calls it Beether. I wanna go again now

Buckets great news about your new job I can see world domination coming your way

ALBS welcome home! You will have to visit your friends in the other order next time. Sometimes I remember how much my best friend used to be jumping up and down at my house with her PFB before mine were born, moving this and that dangerous object from her DDs grasp but then I remember she still has to do it [slack]

No1 which zoo did you go to?

Steaky how are you feeling today?

Good night here, DS only awake at 5 and then 7. Think I found the reason for the two previous nights being 2-hourly wake-ups again - two more teeth , so now he has six - four top and two bottom

MIL taking us out to some train thing later this morning, so better start getting ready.

Lovely day to you all

hotterpotter · 19/04/2009 08:12

X-post times fifty, doh

dizzydixies · 19/04/2009 08:13

morning to you too hots

ALBS & OOPS am not sure whether to be amused or find it sad that its 8am on a Sun morning and we're all on FB and MN!?!?

on that note I'm really off, will no doubt be back later

dizzydixies · 19/04/2009 08:14
oopsacoconut · 19/04/2009 08:16

Dizzy - I think she was just over tired and didn't nap properly yesterday, sge also didn't eat well as there was too much going on to worry about food or BF. Hungry and stroppy is not a good combo at 11, 12, 2, 3.30. 4.50 and 5.30.

alittlebitshy · 19/04/2009 08:23

ugh oops. those kind of nights are horrid

I've got ds's cold . I don't do the same blowing snot bubbles thing he does though (nor do i object to nose wiping).
