and

I'd go to bed, but there's a small child in there and I'm trying to avoid them.

Ohforfoxsake · 10/04/2009 22:06

and [blonely] obviously

can't even get that right

LackaDAISYcal · 10/04/2009 22:15

hellooooo

I'm here. should go to bed as am utterly drained but got caught up in criminal minds.

Went to get some ebm from the freezer so DH can do the night shift, and the facking door has been open and it's partially defrosted . It smells OK though so we are going to risk it as I NEED to sleep. I haven't felt this wrung out (and strung out) for a very long time.

reet. I'm off.

hope tallulah is doing OK; she has been a bit quiet since her DH left.

night daisy, sorry I missed you. Hope you feel better after a bit of sleep.

don't be lonely foxy, I'm back from the zoo. nice to get caught up in a funny thread for a change.

I have just finally, after weeks and weeks of not having chance, dyed my hair. It appears to have gone luminous burgandy. Am hoping that's a trick of the light and it's only red-brown

oh well...

vaRIAtyisthespiceoflife · 10/04/2009 22:53

phew, that's over a years worth of photos dated, renamed and organised. I wonder if I should start on the discs tomorrow? Sady am too dim to burn them to CD tonight so will have to wait for DH.

Off to play on FB now...

I tried a jammy-inspired flower shot the other day

had half a cup of tea and digestive this morning to hopfully tummy is settled as ive kept that down.

hope your not coming down with something daisy i felt like you for the last few days just wrung out and exhausted and no idea why.

penguin thread was funny

like your new name ria

vaRIAtyisthespiceoflife · 11/04/2009 11:38

thanks guys

Am not going out today, Dsis rang and cancelled (and it was her who said we should do as much as possible together this weekend while she's off, her DH was muttering in the background - he does it every time she rings, I don't think he knows we can hear -and I get the impression he didn't approve of her seeing us today. Maybe I am paranoid), DH not home yet, and still no fecking laptop in the post

and with no penguins I can't face another day in with the kids.

hope you feel better today natty and daisy.

TheNatty · 11/04/2009 11:41

he is a lot odd sometimes butterfly - sometimes so far up his own arse he can't see daylight. and sometimes he treats me like I'm the only person who he could possibly ask about something. Tis very wearing. We try not to go when he is there, he can be V moody too, so are always on edge when the kids being a bit kid-like[hmmm] I think it annoys him that we are benefit scroungers too (despite him not sticking with a job before changing either)

So I probably am a bad influence. tee hee

it's going to be a long day

For sure Butterfly! You are a great mum.

FrazzledFairyFay · 11/04/2009 21:16

You are not a bad Mum, and a new book is a lovely present

vaRIAtyisthespiceoflife · 11/04/2009 21:23

you can't really predict puking. And if they're going to do it they'll do it if you're out for sure. And a new book shows you were thinking of her. Perfectly OK by my standards

I took baggins to Tesco (DH asked if I wanted to go on my own. I thought he meant on my own) He (baggins, not DH) was surfing on one foot on the trolley seat, it was hard work. But, I bumped in to Dsis at the checkout and went back to hers for a cup of tea (BIL was out), and I bought DS1 a demob-type suit that he can wear for the wartime weekend in Autumn!

poor DD butterfly, hope she feels better soon (and that you don't all get it)

bugger, have lost the DCs easter gifts. (surplus woolies bargains from xmas, must have hidden them somewhere else) have had to substitute with other sale bargains from my prezzies stash (found a forgotten but intended b'day gift for DS1). I don't really like this commercialisation of Easter. It;'s funny but the non-chocolate buying started with my friend whose dad is a vicar, her kids always got pretty impressive gifts where mine got cheapy eggs and a mini 20p chick. I can't buy them eggs though cos I always end up eating the egg bit

Sorry DD is poorly Butterfly.

And Ria, I am of red hair.

And Bumper sorry I meant to say when you posted the other day, but I got distracted , sorry about your DH's work . Hope this other post works out better for him.

My parents gave me money to get Jamlet an egg, and my DSis sent a parcel, so she has a milky bar egg and a little choc bunny. We decided that was enough chocolate (anyway, she still has some in the cupboard from where my parents gave her some in November) so I bought her a colouring/sticker book yesterday instead, for a very modest 99p .

Our picnic plans aren't looking good, it is grey and damp . So we are taking our picnic to our friends, and if it brightens up we will go out, and if not we will picnic in their front room.

vaRIAtyisthespiceoflife · 12/04/2009 10:05

I am glad the gift giving is over for another year! (although I am at the lack of chocolate for me)

will have to go out and purchase straw for the rodent members of the family.

DH is still in bed. I thought (as he's stayed over at the hotel at least twice this week, and 2 nights in a row) he might have got up with the kids

No fun to be had here today, just laundry and tidying.

and trying to limit my PC time

vaRIAtyisthespiceoflife · 12/04/2009 10:12

that is nice about you getting eggs from the congregation of your dads church butterfly, I think we all used to get a small one at Sunday school when I was little. I had kind of assumed (this is probably the most stupid statement I have ever thought up) that my friends kids didn't get eggs because of some family and church related disapproval. I have come to realise that this is highly unlikely (having got to know them better), and am just relieved that we haven't done gifts for each other's kids this year.

sorry about your picnic jammy.

hey dosy, I spotted you with your professional hat on last night

vaRIAtyisthespiceoflife · 12/04/2009 10:12

that obviously should say DAISY

Ohforfoxsake · 12/04/2009 11:14

ROFL Ria!

Easter Bunny was very generous, and had put out the eggs in our damp garden by 7am, ready for 3 minutes of craziness, and a day of binging ahead of us.

Am hoping that I can resist the childrens and stick to my Green & Blacks. which obviously I bought myself.

you can never have too much chocolate.

TheNatty · 12/04/2009 12:54

no easter eggs here for me, and as its toms birthday we only got them a small egg each, tho am planning a egg hunt in the garden when it FINALLY stops raining.

all his friends have called of sick, but my MUM rang this morning and came over for an hour

sorry, but my mum.. i dont get her sometimes.
