I wasn't even there at the start! I do feel I missed out by coming to it a bit late. I would have loved to have shared all the aches and pains etc with you. I was wondering where Star was too. Hope she is ok, probably just busy having a life I have AMAZING hearing and I perforated my ear drum when I was a teen. I can hear bats and everything!! She'll be fine and so will you.

Aubergenie - Ah, you are quite East then! I thought maybe you were more South East then we would have been very close to each other!! That website is cool. DS loves pirates, when we first moved to this house he was nearly three and was a bit unsettled as the room wasn't 'his'. I bought LOADS of Laura Ashley priate stuff for his room and he was instantly happy!

Awww man! M is waking up! Already?!

star6 · 01/04/2009 20:14

MM are you near me, then? I'm in kingston upon thames/surrey - Surbiton to be exact... 18 min train to london waterloo. Anyone else near there? I'd like a meet up! I'm on april holiday for 2 WEEKS starting friday!!! Yeah! Going to try to head down to myjob's area with DH in July if we can manage it.

star6 · 01/04/2009 20:19

Hi myjob!! I'm here It's my annual review week at work, so I've been quite preoccupied. They made me set my goals before having Q... AS IF I was aware of how little time I'd have at home to do school work once he was born! so now I'm running around like a chicken trying to meet them to have a chance at the smallest ever pay raise for next year. I miss csws too!
I put Q down at 7 tonight as he was rubbing his eyes quite a bit. This means he'll be up by 5am at the latest, but that's ok as I'm up at 4.30 to express milk for him for the day (he drinks that plus what I express while at work - piglet!)

Honeymoonmummy · 01/04/2009 20:22

Geez it's just taken me 30 mins to catch up since last night!!

Thanks re white noise, a fellow MNer is sending me a copy in the post.

MM I wish i'd thought of that April fools!!

star6 · 01/04/2009 20:23

awww I feel so lovely to be missed

Marthasmama · 01/04/2009 20:31

Oooo Star! I am going to visit Myjob in August! She will be a busy lady or MrMyjob will be a busy fella. I'm not too far from Kingston, about a hours drive. DH will be working in Kingston on occasion once he's finished his training. My aunt lives in Kingston and mym mum grew up in Sutton. I think that Aubergenie, Ronshar, you and I are all within 2 hours drive from each other. We're pretty close really.... And then Myjob is about three hours drive for me. Yay for school holidays eh Star!

M has settled herself back to sleep, good girl!

Oh MM - let's all meet up in Kingston, then!
what fun!

aubergenie · 01/04/2009 20:41

Star, Honestly, I think you're amazing the way you're still expressing/breastfeeding Q while working full time. I find it a real struggle to express sometimes, and I'm not even back at work yet. I don't mean to be patronising but I just wanted to say well done.

MM - Yeah I'm way out east. Near the new Olympic park. I went past it on the train today and you can see the stadium going up and everything. I've lived here for years (10 to be exact, I bought the flat when I was still young free and single) and it's mad to see how completely it's all changing.

Poor Naomi, Myjob. I hope she feels better soon. I totally agree about the weaning - it's a whole new world of mess. I don't know why people are in such a rush to wean early, it's so much easier (and cleaner) just to pop them on the boob.

Blimey ladies - I haven't died you know . It's good that I'm on less really, as it means that ds is finally sleeping not on me .

Half an hour until the apprentice, when I'll prob disappear again!

Loss adjuster came out today, and it sounds like all is well, as he doesn't expect there to be any problem with our claim. He even said we could claim for next door's fence which you're apparently not normally allowed to do.

I'd love to meet up star, but am a good train ride away, and have dd over the holidays too. You're quite welcome to a day or two in the countryside up here though. That applies to all of you really.

Jenwa - I will be up in Worcs again for a few days over Easter too, so maybe we can sort out a meet up this time?

Lovely cover MM. Looks like it will do a fab job of keeping the sun off M.

Ouch for ear infection myjob. Let's hope that the ABs clear it up quickly.

lol at pistachio's aversion to weaning. Am not sure that purees are the way to go if you don't like mess!

Marthasmama · 01/04/2009 20:51

jenwa · 01/04/2009 20:53
