The sun is out and everything is wonderful.
Well The sun is out. I cant be grumpy when its warm & sunny.
William went to sleep at 11ish then woke at 2.30 hungry again. And then at 4 I think. Didnt bother to look. He did however sleep until he was woken by DD's at 7.30 so not too bad.

HMM, are the Gp's not going to treat your thyroid. It would probably make a huge difference to your PND symptoms as well.

CSWS, I have MIL over to stay for three days next week. I am beginning the clean house operation today. Windows first. I hate cleaning.

Jenwa. Men are pretty rubbish at womens stuff I feel.

Myjob. Are you going to the farm? It seems to be lambing time over this way.

MM, excellent April fools. My DH is far too canny. I would never be able to pull off any kind of trick!
My mum is in Dublin with family and she still managed to get me with the Pinch punch text message!!!!

ronshar · 01/04/2009 12:56

Poor baby. Have you got any menthol crystals? It helps to clear the airways of yucky stuff. It has made the difference for my poor coldy boy. He has got gooey ears but so far it doesnt seem to be too painful. (touch wood)

jenwa · 01/04/2009 13:02

So cross, just back from library and had to let ladies take Lydia in for me as she did not want to go back to playgroup, anyway, they took her in and MIL followed and went in to the toilets to find her then left a toy on the table by her lunch! It just makes it worse as is upset as MIL and FIL taking her cousins home and she wants to go, if mil just went Lydia would not know any different but they make a scene out of going! I went in and out the toy away which MIL was not at all impressed about, feeling a little immature now but want to get my point accross that the toy is not gong to help They wanted to take her home with me and mil asked what DD actually did there in the afternoon as if she would be better at there house I am dreading going back to work now as I dont want them going there as they dont listen to me I amy leave the country

Sorry about spelling...whoops
Meant 'I went in and took the toy away'

and 'I am leaving the the country'

And any other random bits you can piece together!!! The joy of typing too fast and eating lunch at the same time and being and all at the same time. Its not nice seeing DD1 upset and aghhhhhhhhhhhhhh. Will stop now!

She gets upset on a weds I think as her cousins both go now but get picked up at 12 my in laws so she sees them all go but MIL always goes and says goodbye to Lydia and makes it more noticable they are leaving. I only know this as Lydia tells me Grandma gives me a kiss when she comes in. I know I should not be bothered but it does get to me as she gets upset and MIL does not get it!

jenwa · 01/04/2009 13:21

She was upset yesterday too and that was not weds! Think she is tired and needs easter holidays. MIL wants her to spend some time with them next week but I feel like saying "no" know!

Thing is she used to be a social worker and work in fostering mind you if you look at my DH and BIL you can see they were spoilt and had what they wanted !

jenwa · 01/04/2009 13:51

She would hate it if we moved away which is now what I want to do! She told me DH was on a piece of elastic and it would never be broken! I said "I will cut it"

jenwa · 01/04/2009 13:52

p.s Hope Naomi's appt goes well, poor little thing.

ronshar · 01/04/2009 13:54

MYjob. YES and YES. Sorry shouting.

Jenwa I think you maybe need to have a grownup chat with MIL about YOUR DD. Just make her see that you need DD in nursery as you have to go to work and that by making a fuss every time she goes into the nursery is making your life very difficult. Not to mention the upset for your poor DD.

ronshar · 01/04/2009 13:55

OH my what a delightful woman. She obviously just enjoys interfering.(sp)

ronshar at your post re delightful woman!! made me laugh
Also DD not there because I work just because its a nice playgroup but she will be there on the weds when I do go back to work (if that makes sense) and MIl will be picking her up that day I am making her do a full day on a weds as I know if she goes to MIL she will get fed a packet of ham and a bunch of grapes or a plate of chicken nuggets, fishfingers, baked beans and toast. Not that my cooking is any better but I do give her a proper meal and what I am cooking not a selection for her to choose from! And no whole packets of ham as that is not nice the next day [stinky poo emotion]

Do need to talk to her but she never listens she was the one who told me that dd1 (lydia) would be shortened to Liddy even though we never liked it because they would call her what they wanted and it was a name that reminded them of the magical moment she was born Split bits was what I remember! and also Liddy was just short for Lydia which as far as I remember we chose for her! Anyway another story!

Will have to point out to her that she makes DD more upset at playgroup when leaving as makes a scene they are there and then going!

Anyway, I am a ranter today!!!! so sorry to you all again!!!!

jenwa · 01/04/2009 14:38

Where is Paultons park???

Marthasmama · 01/04/2009 14:51

for you Jenwa - That is just totally unfair on your poor little girl. What a stupid woman. And if my MIL said that DH was on an elastic I would have laughed in her face and told her to f* off. Does she not realise that if she is a PITA she will lose her DS and her DGDs! Move down South!!!!

Myjob - Hope N gets better soon poor little love.

Ronshar - DH is very ditsy, bless him. He often suffers from speak before you think syndrom and comes out with some classics.

I have been out to buy some dried apricots to puree up to try and get M un-bunged! Poor little lady hasn't pooped properly for three days. Shit... I think they may have boiled dry.....panic.....

What a glorious day today!

Sorry to hear about various family tribulations MM and Jenwa. My "MiL" (although we're not married) lives miles away up north so I don't have to deal with her very often thankfully. I do like her but she's completely bonkers.

Dp saw Barack Obama and his wife this morning. he was on his way to work near Downing St and they drove past in the car. I was a bit jealous.

Oh and HMM - that CD I mentioned earlier is this one. I was wrong, it doesn't have hairdryer noises, but it does have various other household appliances. I haven't actually heard it, but my friend's little girl seems to sleep better with it apparently.

Ds is so lovely but he's recently perfected a really piercing squeal. He just loves it and will not stop. It's becoming a tad wearing...

Marthasmama · 01/04/2009 18:32

Welcome to the club Aubergenie. M has stopped it for now as she has discovered fake coughing. That's really annoying too!Whereabouts in East London are you?

Pistachio - M ate some of my oatcake a while ago. She seemed to love it too. I myself love a good oatcakes.

I got a new hood for M's Stokke today, I have put a photo on my profile on MN. Attention seeker, moi?!

aubergenie · 01/04/2009 18:43

I'm near Stratford MM.

Nice hood! I found a site that custom makes cosy toes and hoods for various push chairs. Ds is nearly out of his baby one and I was thinking of getting a pirate one for my bugaboo bee, if only to stop someone else wandering off with it, as there are so many around. Plus they're cheaper than the real bugaboo ones.
