you'd need a wheelbarrow Myjob! Check me out! I'm using my iPhone!

Where's Pepper? She's probably collapsed due to exhaustion from looking after her poor sickly family.

Star - we could go to Richmond Park! I'd need to bring DH as I can't drive.

Jenwa - I get muddled when so many places have the same names. I live in Gillingham, but alas, not the one near myjob. I think it's probably a much nicer setting!

CSWS - how did you get D to stop sleeping on you? I still can't get M to nap in her cot. The only time I get to myself is when she's still asleep in her pushchair when we get home from a walk or when they're both in bed in the evening.

SmudgeyDoodle · 01/04/2009 22:06

Been laughing at all your chat ladies. Not a lot to add. Amazed at people's memory for all that they've read. It's just taken me an hour to catch up I was going to go to bed at 9.30!
Went for coil fitting today and it was fine. She did a smear at the same time and to be honest, I don't think it was any worse than a smear. I've had a bit of cramping but that's it. I did have to take both DC with me so had interesting conversation through the curtain with DS to keep him entertained! Very of your LO who are now sleeping better. About time for some of you I know but we're getting worse rather than better. last 4 nights have been every hour and a half and she likes to be within touching distance again. I think she'll be in our room for a while yet!

Honeymoonmummy · 01/04/2009 22:24

Poppy just off to sleep. I'd love to stay up in the queue for norkage but I'm pooped (no pun intended). I'm watching the apprentice tmrw too. Night night all.

Ekka · 01/04/2009 22:34

Wow, you've chatted so much. I tried to remember what everyone said, but I've totally forgotten most of it already . Hope I don't muddle people up...

Poor Naomi with her ear infection, I hope she feels better soon.

CSWS, glad to hear the loss adjuster sounded reasonable! Lets hope it all gets sorted soon. Funnily enough we'll be up your way this month visiting our friends in Harpenden!

Star - yay for Easter holidays! Bet you are looking forward to spending loads of time with Q. His photos on FB are gorgeous! I could always make Surbiton (we're further down the line at Fleet)

Smudgey, I can sympathise! Matthew is up really regularly too and if its not him its his sister! We need a 'desperate for sleep mummy' emoticon....

Our paediatrician appt went well, Matthew now has stronger steroid creams, which have really cleared up his skin just in 24hrs, plus more moisturisers and will need to avoid milk when we're weaning him. The paediatrician also made me take a poo sample to check whether there is any lactose intolerance showing up now (which would mean I need to avoid dairy again).... She wants me to see a dietician to check that when I went dairy free I was really excluding all dairy, and then try again for a month (just round Easter ). But he is much happier today. And I'm happy as dh bought me an eternity ring for my b-day . Even the thought of missing out on chocolate easter eggs isn't bothering me too much at the moment!

Now I really must go to bed, ds has been asleep for 3 hours and I should really be making the most of it!

heather1980 · 01/04/2009 23:02

my my you lot can chat!
well today alex has had toast for breckfast, some satsuma segments for lunch and potato wedges for tea. so weaning is underway! i was eating lunch and he was going mad that i wasn't feeding him so i gave him a bit of my satsuma and he sucked all the juice out! my mil came round at tea time and she was panicing over the wedges, she was convinced he was going to choke, he loved them. he's not fussed over water but i wanted to rinse his mouth after the toast, but it kind of dribbled out of his mouth.

CantSleepWontSleep · 02/04/2009 07:41

Ekka - Harpenden is so close to me (dd's nursery school is on the outskirts of it). If you have time free then we should meet up at a playground for an hour so that the older ones have some entertainment.

OP posts:
jenwa · 02/04/2009 09:06

mm I am sorry did not mean to make you feel uncomfy re my hearing just wanted you to give me some and def would like some more norkage too! Can I buy one get one free???

star my geography is pants! I know what I need to know other than that I have no ides

myjob hope its not too stressful re wedding! Surely Naomi is not going to take up too much space hope you get it sorted but whatever we can meet if able but otherwise we will have to do that big meet up (was it Warwick Castle)

ekka glad appt went well. Eek to poo sample! How lovely for you needs must though!

Can I give DD a farleys rusk to suck.hold etc.? I have given her one this am mixed with milk but it says something about not giving as finger food until about 9 months? They are soft though!

heather glad the weaning going well, sounds like he enjoyed it.

smudgy lol at you having coil fitted whilst children there, its not the best experience I imagine and I suppose it makes it slightly more entertaining!

star Should have remember where you lived as I was born in Aldershot and lived in surrey until I was 4. My dad was in the grenadier guards.

Off to shopds today to have look round with DC then going to have lunch with DH if weather is nice and will check out the farm area there to see how child friendly it is

Honeymoonmummy · 02/04/2009 11:12

Poppy just slept through for the second night in a row after 2 weeks of hell bad nights!

Ekka, that's brill news

I'm off for lunch with a friend today, all I seem to do these days is go out for lunch - it's great!!

star6 · 02/04/2009 12:41

Oh, aubergenie - just read your post as I was reading back through carefully. Thank you so much - I really needed that today... feeling like it's all getting too much, but like a child, a little bit of positive reinforcement helps keep me going

Have a great lunch HMM

Myjob - I can't believe there's confusion about Naomi being invited. Sorry I must lol at that one!Hide her in a handbag JUST KIDDING... I would never put a baby in a space without air. Totally a joke. ha!

Jenwa I work very close to Aldershot

jrsqueak · 02/04/2009 12:54

Joshua nearly choked on broccolli yesterday. He doesn't seem too interested tbh but will keep on trying. Dp has taken ds2 and ds3 to a friends to let me clean the house pre wedding guests. I keep feeling really sick - hope its just nerves!!!

star6 · 02/04/2009 12:58

Cool - Richmond park meet up then? Fun! Or Kingston (upon thames ). Who can come? Next week or week after or after 19th June? 19th June is when our term ends for the summer DH (at british state school) doesn't get out for the summer until the end of July

I've just checked and I can get from Cheshire to Kingston in 3 hours for a bargain price of £60 ... maybe not!

Can't you all come to Cheshire? You're all so selfish!

Marthasmama · 02/04/2009 16:20

I've seen Hollyoaks HMM, I'm not attractive enough to go the Cheshire. I'd have to go through London, on the undreground and every thing to get to Cheshire. It would take me 5 hours and cost £144.50. So no I can't come to Cheshire.

Myjob - so glad N is feeling better. Poor little sausage.

Jenwa - you can of course get bogof!

Jrsqueak - You'll be fine on Saturday. You'll have the time of your life, you'll look beautiful and it will fly past so quickly. Enjoy every minute of your day.

Ekka - eczema is horrible isn't it? DS's eczema cleared up completely by the age of two and was almost gone by the age of 1. I had allsorts of potions and lotions to put on him too! If I so much as touched him with normal washing powder his skin would flair up. I didn't have to get a poo sample though. Mmmmmm lovely!

Heather - DS used to suck the juice out of satsumas too! He loved them!

Star - I think we should meet up in the summer as the weather is too unpredictable in April! Gives me us more time to plan around other dc.

Smudgey & Ekka - I too have a baby who is getting worse through the night. She started sleeping through at three months, then stopped at four months and now wakes up 3/4 times a night, sometimes staying awake for a couple of hours. Yay ! We'll get there I'm sure, one day.

My AF came back today. I wouldn't mind but M is still feeding every four hours. Hurumph.

OMG, there's about 400 posts in 2 days!
I've been in a tiredness bubble for several days now with DH home malingering poorly. DD has decided sleep is for wimps and like many of the others seems to be worse now than ever, and therefore also ridiculously overtired - she's had 45 minutes sleep today since 7.30.... and that was in 2 goes.
My brain can't remember everthing but here goes..
ekka - glad Matthew's got something that works at last - we could go on the train together to Kingston or Surbiton...
CSWS - glad loss adjuster was human!
myjob - hope Naomi feels a bit better soon
MM - was it you auctioning norks? I'll join the queue..
ronshar - so sorry things are a bit grim, I find juggling 3 a complete nightmare sometimes when you just feel you're on 24hr standby and all those deadlines like school just loom up at you with no-one having any sense of urgency.
aaagh - DD really stinky
love to anyone else who knows me... as they say. Back later.

Marthasmama · 02/04/2009 18:02

Myjob - Ooooo fingers crossed then!

She's been hungry for real food today maybe because my milk tastes a bit strange if AF is here. I bought some emergency pots (they are Plum ones, with only vegetables and quinoa flakes in them, they even have a use by date of a few weeks rather than a few years - before you all put your judgey pants on ) She ate a whole jar of sweet potato and butternut squash and then had half a pear! She seems to get hungry for food at this time of day and doesn't fancy milk. Any other time of day she just wants milk. DH is back for two weeks over Easter so I can get cooking while he has M. I've got terrible back ache. I'd forgotten how yucky periods are, nearly 15 months without one..... Grump.

We went to Asda today, on my annual pilgrimage to buy cheap summer clothes and for a PowerRanger as DS2 has a birthday next week. It was truly horrid. I know I'm a snob but honestly, within 30 seconds I heard a woman threatening to "punch your FFing lights out" to some really old lady who'd accidentally bumped into her!! I didn't have nearly enough tattoos to blend in and had forgotton my grey leggings and flipflops. I didn't even have a cleavage to "double puppy".
I think that's why DD didn't sleep today, she was aghast that there's a world beyond CBeebies and Waitrose.
I'm sorry, I can't help it but we call it Chavda

CantSleepWontSleep · 02/04/2009 20:14

PMSL at pepper, and wondering how many people on this thread you've offended .

Good going Naomi on the food front!
Ds had a homemade fishcake (with haddock, prawns, celeriac, potato plus lemon, garlic and parsley flavourings), loads of asparagus tips, some carrots and a few peas for his tea, as well as having a decent lunch!

I could feasibly come to Cheshire, as dh has family in Manchester who we could visit at the same time.

Honeymoonmummy · 02/04/2009 20:20

Ouch Pepper! Sounds like your Asda is in a loverly area!

MM - one question - WTF does AF stand for??? I know what it means but what does it stand for?

I need to order a highchair, I really like that 3-sixti pear one but still can't find any reviews.

Wow, I'm impressed at all the food our LOs are eating. I tried DS with some porridge and fruit this morning, but I think it may have been to early for him as he wasn't really interested. BTW - what was the verdict about giving soy to baby boys? CSWS I think you were talking about it a while ago (Was it you? I'm not sure).

HMM - AF stands for Aunty Flo.

I'm very excited, as we're going away this weekend with a load of friends to stay in a nice house near the sea. I'm really looking forward to relaxing and having lots of people to entertain Stan. His shrieking is really loud, and it makes him so proud of himself, but it's driving me mad. I went to a bumps and babies group today and his constant shrieking was widely commented on.

CantSleepWontSleep · 02/04/2009 20:37

Aunt Flo.

Get the zuma highchair hmm - it's fab. And it's come down in price - check out kiddicare.
