Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
Sputnik · 20/03/2009 10:40

Sorry about your mum Holly.

Yay Foxy, I am very very

TALLULAHBELLE · 20/03/2009 10:47

LOL Natty - I can't remember the last time I had a bowl of cereal or a slice of toast to myself. In fact that goes for everything edible, even when DD is sitting there with a plate full of the same. Greedy little beggars

LackaDAISYcal · 20/03/2009 11:28

DD looks at us with her big eyes and says sweetly..."more please" and we can't resist her!

have a good weekend foxy, you lucky beggar . At the minute i would settle for the rest, the gin would tip me over the edge I think.

had anmother visit toi the docs this morning...i can see all the receptionists nudging each othwer whe i appear....as bumble had orange gloop coming out of one ear this morning and hard crusty gloop in the other ear. no surprises he still has an ear infection ....which i have been telling them for a wekk now and the doc on Wednesday missed . That's two weeks of misery for the wee scone, and if this leads to any long term ear issues (my nephew has glue ear as aa result of a misdiagnosed ear infection) then I won't be very happy with them at all.
anyhoo we have stronger antibiotics and some more ibuprofen and calpol.

dd back in bed already as sghe is completely choked with the cold as well now.

TALLULAHBELLE · 20/03/2009 12:03

What lovely manners Daisy - my DD just sticks her grubby paw in & grabs whatever she can. Though if she can't reach she will try the cute approach, looking pleadingly whilst asking - wee bit? Never fails

TALLULAHBELLE · 20/03/2009 12:09

Poor Bumble btw, & DD & you .

Have fun Foxy . Gin makes me cry, I'd settle for nice drop of red. Actually going OUT tonight, to the PUB so will enjoy wee glass then - yay!

Sputnik · 20/03/2009 16:56

Poor Bumble, hope he recovers soon.
Would you believe Daisy we all have colds again? I didn't bother mentioning it as it seems to be a permanent thing here. I am in such a bad mood too, DS waking really early atm, it was 5.30 this morning, and I had gone to bed at midnight.

I just made the 5 minute microwave chocolate cake to cheer myself up.

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 20/03/2009 19:25

Have fun Foxy! I am and all at the same time.

Sorry to hear about Bumble . Hope he's OK.

And sorry about more illness with the Sputniks.

Jamlet did a monstrous and v sloppy poo during (part one of) her nap this afternoon. Then fought and wriggled so much as I tried to take the anppy off that it ended up all down her legs . So she had a bath and then had part 2 of her nap on my lap. Just a shame the internet was broken here all day when I was forced to sit down for an hour or so But later we went to the park with friends and she had a fab time apart from falling down part of the climbing frame

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 20/03/2009 19:30

Damn you Sputnik ! Now I am going to have to pretend I never looked at that thread and am not aware of such a cake.

Sputnik · 20/03/2009 19:48

Actually I'm quite happy to report it wasn't that nice!

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 20/03/2009 20:20

I love you Sputnik !!!!

Have just finished pricing and preparing clothes and books for an NCT sale tomorrow. If it all sells, it'll make £55, which will get us £38.50. If it's up to me (which I think it should be as I sorted it, washed and ironed it, put it on hangers and priced it) I'd buy her this or put it towards this with the money.

LackaDAISYcal · 20/03/2009 20:20

evening all

bumble much much better this evening, but DD is fighting a temp of 40 and really miserable. She is sitting on the sofa next to her dad in just a nappy drinking iced water. It never stops here!!

tried to get to ikea earlier, and after sitting in a traffic jam for nearly an hour due to a huuuuuge accident at one of the big road interchanges in the middle of Leeds(upside down cars, people getting cut out by the fire brigade etc ) they finally closed the road and sent us back the way we had just come.

but, it's been a beautiful day here and I puttered around in the garden, had a friend over for lunch and then puttered in the garden some more.

sorry about the jamlets poorliness jammy.

and is there a gluten free version of that cake?

LackaDAISYcal · 20/03/2009 20:28

jammy, isn't that one of the duplo sets that holly was wanting us to test? you might be getting it anyway, so my money is on the slide. We have to get things sorted for the NCT sale next week, thanks for the reminder jammy

we're watching a programme on beeb2 about vertical gardening....I am inspired to cover up our ugly carbuncle of an extension with plants all over the walls

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 20/03/2009 20:30

Arse!! I didn't mean to link to the poley bear Duplo Meant to be a smaller version of the slide.

HollyPutTheKettleOn · 20/03/2009 20:31

Evening!

Sorry you didn't get to Ikea daisy. I went this morning and had lunch. Didn't even go to the shop or the showroom or anything, just to the restaurant. All 3 of us ate for £5. I love having Ikea so close. I always go there to eat when I go to town.

I tried the chocolate cake thingy a while ago. It was grim. Not chocolatey enough for me.

I have an NCT sale tomorrow too. I'll be there all day as I'm running a bfing stand. Not really looking forward to it. It's a new venue, so it'll be mad disorganisation!

Sorry about the poorly small people. Mine are well for once, but I shouldn't expect that'll last for long. This winter has been one long cold. I'm looking forward to warmer weather so I can wash the sofa covers. They have lots of rather attractive slug trails all over them!

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 20/03/2009 20:31

this. Course I wouldn't buy duplo when we might be getting some anyway!

(Hoping to find some normal duplo bricks tomorrow but think am going to be disappointed)

HollyPutTheKettleOn · 20/03/2009 20:33

You're watching a gardening show daisy? It's a slippery slope from there to a blue rinse y'know!

HollyPutTheKettleOn · 20/03/2009 20:34

I haven't seen any normal Duplo for ages, everywhere seems have Mega Blocks.

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 20/03/2009 20:35

Evening Holly.
DH has a new laptop with a built in webcam so is sending me webcame viewing of him on the laptop even though he is sat right opposite me! I can see him in stereo

HollyPutTheKettleOn · 20/03/2009 20:37

Dp and I do that. We talk to each other via email and facebook from our phones when we are sat next to each other!

LackaDAISYcal · 20/03/2009 21:17

lol at your DH jammy. Mine and I haven't come to that yet...we still manage to actually talk to each other!

I'd get the bigger slide jammy.....you'll get more use out of it in the long term.

DD has gone back to bed.....calpol kicked in and she was tucking all her teddies and dollies in under a blanket on the sofa, and had lost the bright red cheeks!

Good Luck with the BFing thing Holly.

TheNatty · 21/03/2009 10:34

lol @ webcam next to each other lol!
morning girls, im taking tom to the "dinosaur" museum today.
speak to you all this evening

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 21/03/2009 14:56

Well, we sold about half our stuff. Got £16.20. Bought some bits too. Spent £17.50. Ah well. She's now got a toy pram and one of these both of which she loves. And some more puzzles, and a Tweenies Fizz doll, and some dressing up clothes. Oh and a set of reins - not sure popular those are going to be .

Natty - hope you're having fun with the dinosaurs And hope your NCT thing is going/went well Holly.

LackaDAISYcal · 21/03/2009 21:13

ah well Jammy, at least you only spent a little more than you earned!!

DD loves her reins, and the wrist strap is even better. she walks along next to me like a little puppy

Hope you enjoyed the Nat Hist museum Natty; we would love to visit it sometime. DS1 loves all things nature and would happily watch Discovery all day if he could.

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 21/03/2009 21:45

Funnily, later this afternoon I got the reins out and she got all excited and stuck her arms out like she wanted to wear them. It was as if she knew what they were for, despite never having worn any before (to my knowledge at least.) And got a bit upset at taking them off.

LackaDAISYcal · 21/03/2009 22:54

bless her jammy...maybe they use them at nursery?

I'm selling stuff at the local NCT sale next week....first time I've done it so not sure about pricing etc....any pointers would be good
