Hello everyone - too dog tired to fill in the questionnaire I'm afraid but am reading them. No exciting news here. Went to a friends today who has a one year old. Luke was taller than him! Same size feet too - he wears 12-18 month shoes and they fit (i.e. there's no give in there). That's weird! They have two cats and I got the same reaction to them from Luke as we got with Pearls' dog - non stop laughter! Luke did try and pull the cats ears off and actually put the cat's tail in his mouth. Luckily they are used to being pulled about by the one year old so no scratches or bites. Off to bed now - I have bot been able to keep my eyes open all week. Had a lovely week at work though - I have really enjoyed myself.

pureeandpearls · 07/02/2009 21:17
  1. Should be diet coke!!

Totally loving this- I am soooo nosey!

josey · 07/02/2009 21:24

oh yuck Debs I wonder what kind of dribbly sticky mess it would be in by the time it got to you lol!!!!

Oli is doing well, I have been feeling a bit more positive about things. Its way to early to say, but she does seem very connected upstairs and a you can see her wee personality coming through. She is making progress in what they would expect for her age just much more limited IYKWIM

Puree what a great middle name you have

DebInAustria · 07/02/2009 21:33

Five - Oh I watched that too, and sobbed (julie Walters drama, not madagascar) - It was heartbreaking

DebInAustria · 07/02/2009 21:34

Amber - glad you had a good week after all your deliberations about going back to work

josey · 07/02/2009 21:41

That was sad bit didnt make me cry, the last TV thing that really had me was the Noel Edmunds thing, there was a boy with CP who was taken to disney land and his parents renewed there vows, Now that had me in tatters!

abdnhiker · 07/02/2009 21:43

HH sorry your line manager is being crap - that's horrible. It's hard enough to go back to work without having to deal with people who are inconsiderate.

on sleep - I've given up. We take a completely inconsistent approach with Fraser because he seems to respond best to that. Sometimes he needs to be cuddled (like all last night) and then other weeks he really does well if you leave him to cry for 20 minutes in his own bed. F does do better with more solids - but his brother didn't.

5gomad book porn! I'm a bibliophile so your trip sounds like the perfect holiday!

Essie Josey is regularly on her own with her kids too and I am occasionally, depending on the month. I think it's way more common than people realize.

poppy brand of clothing - me too

poppy34 · 07/02/2009 21:50

ABDEEN we had very much neighbour hood spirit yesterday, the house across from me has 2 traffic police who had to get out, J & next door started digging and pushing them up the hill, then 3 other houses joined in and they had to push and dig and grit to the bypass
The there is our neighbours 2 up who waited for DH and next door to clear the it at ours (watching them) then drove out to go shopping
Even the Bypass has been blocked the past few days, Oldmeldrum seems to be a snow hole.

OP posts:
pureeandpearls · 08/02/2009 08:21

I did say it wasn't terribly conventional Sponge! I put it down to the 'crawler tights' she's sporting!

Glad I made you smile Josey I have to watch it with the sound off- can't stand hearing myself but I seem yo be incapable of videoing without talking!
