Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

mrm- 12 days? sounds awful! What was the cause? (sex and drugs and rock'n'roll?)
CSWS- valsalver usually works, but didn't yesterday (typical!)
LOVE the snowman (snowwoman?) Flame- very fetching eyes

Frizbe · 11/02/2009 21:15

Flame pointy bit is when you have the driver or passenger door open. Am off to research the citroen recall in a moment, so I can phone them tomorrow and treble check if ours was taken back to them, as I fear not, due to what happened, if this is the case, it will need to go back asap (courtesy car?)

EPPM, eeeek that's not good at all, but phew for being in the Dr's. MRM not good that it happened to you either

Gah, need to get the ironing done...best crack on, have cleaned whole house tonight, started at 5.30 finished at 7.30, lobbed girls into bed, then started again for another hour, now done! Must get more organised.....

damewashalot · 12/02/2009 10:32

Hello!

Have quickly scanned but brain leaks so can remember.......
Yay! for pg phoenix

EPPM that sounds really scary and also what is happening about the tongue tie? ds4 had his snipped after a long saga, it worked wonders and is very simple to do if someone will do it. I am now an expert due to the trouble I had getting it done, if you want to CAT me feel free. (unless of course you live in an area where they know about these things unlike me)

Poorly baby woke up i'm off.

EachPeachPearMum · 12/02/2009 11:10

Thank you Dame!
I am a bit scared tbh- cutting part of my new baby sounds awful, neglected second born or not. I will CAT you now.

Oh I want to get my picasso too!!!
Not fair I have to wait until I can drive (oh, and see if we have any money in the bank, of course...)
I get my car back today though, so can start thinking about it properly.

DD's school rang yesterday to arrange settling-in session, but were thankfully very accommodating when I told them the situation- it is a 20 min drive without rush hour, so no way I can do it without the car.

Flamesparrow · 12/02/2009 12:03

Psycho's DS2 had his tongue tie snipped - he was fine within 24hrs

Frizbe - whacked my head on the door today... that bit was pointy

damewashalot · 12/02/2009 15:27

Not a problem EPPM just drop me a email with any questions and will do my best to reassure.

Frizbe · 12/02/2009 17:22

EPPM get a picasso after the 05 version then, as from my converstation with garage today, seems they are a bit dodgy before....will email Flame and Phoenix the details, as they have the cars.

www.bbc.co.uk/weather/ukweather/warnings.shtml this weather forecast is soooo wrong! its belting it down with snow at the moment, i had to leg it home from work, so my mum could go home, as dad rang and said it was worse their way than ours and as she drives an automatic, she won't be making it if didn't go NOW! (drama queen my dad btw, if you wondered where I get it from)

Twinny, its good to have you back!

damewashalot · 12/02/2009 18:35

thanks friz, hadn't realised how much I'd missed chatting to you lot until i started again! Must stop letting RL get in the way

By the way flame, I have seen the light and am a real nappy convert I love them and wish I'd tried years ago. Felt kind of guilty not buying from you but she came out to do a demo and I might of got myself a job selling them for her out of it so I hope you'll forgive me

mustrunmore · 12/02/2009 18:54

Snow again

yes ds2 is dry at night.

eppm... cause never establsished poss viral poss clot poss 'something that can happen to girls of your age'. never happened since.

went to... a diff aerobics today.... vey gym-bunny,. very dance aerobics very low impact. Fun, but I qwas lost of the moves, and I couldve done about 4 hours at such low impact!
Oh well.

Flamesparrow · 12/02/2009 19:14

Could've given you a job

EachPeachPearMum · 12/02/2009 20:21

of Frizbe- please include me in the details of cars.... [saddo emoticon] have started 'proper' research on it now.

mrm- how odd re your svt. Good to hear it was one-off though. It's always 'our age' isn't it though?

Sorry- Frizbe... why is dame your twinny?

Phoenix · 12/02/2009 20:23

Thanks for email Friz. Dh is just going out to check the VIN number on ours to see if it matches any of the recalled ones.

Frizbe · 12/02/2009 20:36

Have emailed watchdog too, see if they've had any more complaints...

EPPM Dame's my twinny cause we were due on same date, then both went over and dropped on same date Will email you too Quite liking the aa website for info actually, I never even thought of looking at something like that before, I guess I'm just too trusting

Phoenix · 12/02/2009 20:41

Phew, we're safe

Frizbe · 12/02/2009 21:01

yay!

mustrunmore · 12/02/2009 21:11

I'm convinced that my body owrks diff to everyone elses EPPM, hence I have odd things like that svt BTW, a friend of a friend would like to know some omre details of evcerything related to you and yours (from a comparative point of view) ad I'm so shit I've never taken much notice of your medicval backgroung I dont suppose you could emai me in those long hours of nightfeeds could you? Dont worried if you cant be arsed tho!

Btw, not that anyone cares, but I'm back to going to Enfiled on thew sunday, not Watford, which was never a def thing, as long as Jas still doesnt mind dropping me off

mustrunmore · 12/02/2009 21:12

and im not jealous you twinnnies, cos I've got Flame fo no tangible twin reason

Jas · 12/02/2009 21:45

Aaah, so I was being dropped in favour of a lift from Flame then was I??

I may consider reissuing my offer.....

No twin here, but friend is due to have her cs on ds' birthday. I think I'm more excited than her tbh!

I've been buggy-free again today. 1 hr school run with dd2 in tears almost the whole way home (unrelated and very irritating reasons)left me very cross.
We didn't do toddler group (the more obvious and much easier tire out ds method) as dp needed me to pass tools/be a gofer today. He spent all day trying to rig up a shwer light and extractor fan in the loft and failed.

I've persuaded to him to get an electrician to look at it before taking it back to the shp as it is "obviously faulty"

He should be tiling tomorrow. Much more his thing.

I will be going out for as long as possible.

Jas · 12/02/2009 21:47

Oh, and I got a cheque for the car today, but for some odd reason we get to keep the courtesy car fr another 7 days

EachPeachPearMum · 12/02/2009 22:03

mrm- I read that as medieval background ....

Well, I did do some archaeology at university...

Lots of tantrums here today. DD still finding it hard to share Mama and Papa, but thankfully she is lovely with DS- just horrible with us (mostly linked to bedtimes, which have never been easy).
Bribery has been resorted to

Jas · 12/02/2009 22:12

I tried bribery in the CoOp yesterday in an attempt to get human-like behaviour from ds. It failed. He threw apples and pears, and I pretended to put back the chocolate he had chosen as his reward (then ate it when he was in bed)

mustrunmore · 12/02/2009 22:18

Lol Jas, i didnt think you'd wanna take me to watford!

ds2 managed to walk the whole way to nursery, no carries. I had a strangely free right arm

Superb EPPM, but I cooyld tell her about my own medieval learnings I do love my typing tho...

CantSleepWontSleep · 12/02/2009 22:26

lol at eating ds' reward.

And lol at mrm's bribery being a box of teabags!

EPPM - you can be my twinny as we've both had a girl then a boy . Sympathies re the jealousy from dd. Sounds very familiar. Dh is now sleeping in dd's room every night, whilst I am in with ds, and this seems to be helping. We expect it to continue until ds is settled in his own room rather than being in ours, which won't be until he learns to sleep for more than an hour at a time . I've heard of a few people doing this since I've mentioned that we are.

Good to see you back dame. Are you coming to the meetup at mine - 14th March?

Frizbe · 12/02/2009 23:05

cripes I didn't mean to start a twinny debate thing just popped onto say nite!

EachPeachPearMum · 13/02/2009 00:20

Yay! I get a twinny too!

Unfortunately DD is still Mama's girl, and Papa attention isn't quite good enough. DH is on the sofa atm- one of us needs to have a good night's rest- and he is being kept v busy catering for me- I cannot get enough food down me... DS has put on 11oz in a week

At least weight is sliding off me- DH says bfing is the best form of weightloss ever- mrm- maybe you should do wet-nursing?????? bet my overhang is bigger than yours though
