Dizzy you are not alone in boring addressville. I too am simply no at street at town

Am sooo excited about tomorrow. So hope I don't oversleep, as would be totally gutted if I missed it. Would need to get 9.25 train to make it by 11ish. I'm thinking I'll probably be a bit late, as I have not got the knack of getting the pair of us ready and out the house on time for anything.

DP just called, he's on his way home!!! Yaaaaay!.

Oh and had some worrying news. My brother came over all funny at work. Shaky, sick, dilated pupils. Not sure what caused it, but there's some suspicion that his coffee may have been spiked!

Buckets · 26/01/2009 18:35

OK I'm bottling out and bringing cheapy lightweight toddler stroller as well as Moby tomorrow, to sit him in as he can't sit up in a highchair yet. Will probably take up less floorspace than a highchair anyway.

Just been out to dinner at Bella Italia but forgot the £30 Tesco vouchers that were the whole point of going there. Oh well, can't really complain, it's pretty cheap and they're very nice about small children charging about.

alittlebitshy · 26/01/2009 18:37

random qst: how many nappies d do you pack for a day out?! (guess what I'm doing?)

Actually about to shower to save time in morn as ds and i will go on school run with dh and dd then dh will drop us at miamla's afterwards (make sense?)

Have a fantastic day tomorrow, everyone.
Can we have audio clips as well as photos so I can figure out what everyone sounds like?

Thanks too for all the comments on the sleep books / pressure thing that have been made over the last week. I won't wade in on it again as so much sense has already been talked ...

Oops I think you might be on to something with the loose ligaments as DH and I had made a connection between DD2's the elbow disaster and the fact that she is an incredibly 'clicky' baby. When we pick her out of her carseat or tilt her back into it her body sometimes makes odd cracking kinds of noises without any apparent cause or ill effect. I'll look into it anyway.

dizzydixies · 26/01/2009 19:10

sibh I think me, you, Poppy, TS and longway (and anyone I've missed sorry) should have a good old clean of the thread whilst everyone else isn't here clutteringitallup

ladies, any preferences on the redecoration!!?

PetitFilou1 · 26/01/2009 19:13

Hello everyone
Hope you all have a good day tomorrow

I'm on my tod again with dh in York until Thursday and Toby teething and hardly sleeping in the day - but am ok

dizzy Can I just share with you an email I've had from a potential childminder (am investigating for September which is when I have to go back to work)

'that is no problem. i am here tmrra afternoon after 1pm. my fone numba is xxxxxx. if you would like to ring me. will be available to talk between 7.15-8.15 tnite. have guides run before and after.'

The text speak has really really put me off. If you are a snob then so am I

PetitFilou1 · 26/01/2009 19:16

Also, those of you with older children may I NOT recommend Benylin cough and cold. ds1 had it last night and could not get up and had an upset stomach (of the needing to go to the loo variety). It was like he had been doped. He also said to me this evening 'Mummy that medicine is sleeping medicine. It stops your cough and makes you sleep all night'

PetitFilou1 · 26/01/2009 19:16

Thinking about it- dizzy maybe you'd like the bottle for dd2??

Steaknife · 26/01/2009 19:19

sigh sigh humm humm

dizzydixies · 26/01/2009 19:20

hand it over pf am not above drugging them

hope he's feeling better tonight and you're excused from cleaning duties tomorrow, pass us your dc and you have some sleep instead

Steaknife · 26/01/2009 19:25

Just remembered what I was going to say...

AnnVan - I saw the trailer too, I am a big fan of Hugh Jackman and his fine looks acting. I like to think DH has a passing resemblence. Not sure how true it is but I like to think it.

sambo303 · 26/01/2009 19:29

albs I pack 5 and usually use 4 nappies.

nappy lovers have you seen these? am sorely tempted!

sorry steak but ...for those bringing buggies tomorrow, numerous people offered help up and down steps when travelling to Bristol so buggy was no hinderance at all

I am still taking only Moby, when I eat with baby on lap I put a bib on and eat with my fingers

AnnVan · 26/01/2009 19:38

oh god. Just heard three massive bum explosions from the direction of one baby boy Aaargh. Does anyone think it's ok if I leave the nappy on till DP gets back

dizzydixies · 26/01/2009 19:39

Ann, this time next year you'll be able to powerhose him down in the garden and nobody will bat an eye

well maybe wait until the spring but you know what I mean!

PetitFilou1 · 26/01/2009 19:44

sazzles That is exactly it - a) I'm not 14 and b)I'm not her best mate arranging to meet down the park

I don't even know whether to ring her back at all or not I'm that bothered by it (definitely a snob emoticon)

Strange how the Benylin didn't have that effect on your dd. It really annoyed me as had no warnings on bottle or box about giving to the under 6s but in the patient information leaflet it says 'do not give to under 6s without consulting with a Dr or pharmacist' or something similar. Was a bit when I read that after the event.

dizzy Not sure I'll have time but how about the Moroccan caspah look for the thread - I'm thinking, tent effect, rugs, those leather pouffe things, lanterns and a nice looking Berber gentleman or two in the corner

Steaknife · 26/01/2009 19:44

DH and I really need to step away from our computers now. So t'ra, have a fantastic day tomorrow those of you meeting up and I'll see t'others on here with your marigolds and feather dusters.
