me too night all

Maria2007 · 25/01/2009 07:47

good morning everyone

How quickly this thread goes (how repetitive can I be... I always say the same thing ) Anyway, just wanted to say I look forward to meeting everyone on tuesday, around 11 isn't it.

Hope you have a good sunday.

VintageThistle · 25/01/2009 08:46

Good morning Maria, I always say the same thing too, can't catch up, can I have a new leaf please?

Looking forward to Tuesday too, will be great to meet everyone.

Going to church & gym, will be Little Miss Virtuous by lunchtime.

Maria2007 · 25/01/2009 09:06

Morning VT, ok, so I'm responding immediately so that I have the feeling I'm catching up . Tuesday will be interesting, for me it's a bit scary since I'm meeting everyone for the first time ... but it would be great to meet other mums with babies the same age and mine, especially the ones who live in London. (I love Spitalfields btw, so that's another bonus, taking DS there).

Church AND gym? Yes, really virtuous of you For me it's been drinking a cup of tea, then drinking a SECOND cup of tea, mumsnetting, and playing with Linos (who is now thankfully asleep for his morning nap, cuddled up with his dad).

cyteen · 25/01/2009 09:39

Morning all

Way to go Ann, hope all your dreams came true last night

timorous it's all about the leftovers in our house too, even before I popped out the sproglet I could never cook for less than a small army. Not sure what that says about the number of kids I should end up with

Umm...so, this meet up on Tuesday...is there room for a little one?

RotterMcPotter · 25/01/2009 09:45

Are you coming then? Hurrah !

AngusSteaknife · 25/01/2009 09:55

So have I got this right - you're all going for a jolly at Spitalfields on Tuesday?

sigh - will probably be housebound by snow. I am planning to do sewing this week as I have a couple of tops I need to finish.

We were awake at 6 - though had a lovely cuddle in bed for an hour before getting up. Already done a nap and I am just finishing off cleaning our room. Busy busy busy. Though am starving - can I start early on brunch?

alittlebitshy · 25/01/2009 09:56

Also any good suggestions for a film for tonight (not a musical) DH allergic to them.

alittlebitshy · 25/01/2009 10:06

hmmm...... Not sure. We've been watching a lot of episide-y things lately (morse, midsomer, waking the dead - spot a theme?! Will have a think about films though...

VintageThistle · 25/01/2009 10:18

Yay cyteen!!!!!!!!!!

Sounds like rather a nice morning, Maria, I am just showing off .

Re. films we watched Little Miss Sunshine the other day, was odd & made us laugh, though might not be everyone's cup of Earl G.

VintageThistle · 25/01/2009 10:19

Oh and Indiana Jones & his crystal skull yesterday... naptime for moi, though Harrison has a certain quelque chose.

alittlebitshy · 25/01/2009 10:22

oh yes Little miss sunshine was quite good...

we started watching the darjeeling ltd t'other day. And stopped cos it was odd. dh finished it while looking after ds yesterday but haven't got his comments yet (so it can't have been that great)

Sausageandmash · 25/01/2009 10:25

Crumbs, the amount of posts is staggering. I've got to fly off and feed but just have to post before you guys add lots more and I'm even more off message than before!

SIBH sorry about your mishap, you must have felt dreadful but we've all done/will do something (mine is the "oh, she's not rolling yet" thing, only to find dd on floor, not sofa!)

As for the pressure you were talking about early on this thread, yes, I completely feel it, partic with ds being off the chart for weight! However, had a cancellation appt at allergy clinic at the end of the week, which took about 5 hours in all but totally worth it because we've found out he's not allergic to things and now have a new plan to early wean - on explicit advice of dietician (she says WHO guidelines are for 'normal babies', so clearly not for my weeny gem of a maverick!) - which is v exciting and hopefully will mean he can start to creep up the chart, finally.

I would love to come on Tuesday, but will there be room? Also feel a little like an interloper, what with lurking rather than posting for such a long time!

cyteen · 25/01/2009 10:28

thought DS and I could do with a jolly you can all marvel at his prodigious vomiting skillz.

so we are meeting at Giraffe in Spitalfields at 11am, is that right? and can someone friend me on faceache, my email addy is challengeher at hotmail dot com

AngusSteaknife · 25/01/2009 10:34

Just been on there and seen that a friend has been preggers and produced baby since we last spoke. Blimey feel like a bad friend.

Alieight · 25/01/2009 10:53

Yay Cyteen!! Have just fb you.

S&M - plenty of room for all as far as I know. I too was a long-time lurker, but am coming anyway

Are we meeting around 11 then? Have found that I can get a train coming directly into Liverpool St which makes things much easier, wil definitely be bringing buggy.

Afraid no film ideas - haven't sat down and watched film for yonks. Tend to watch episodes of House/Black Books/Red Dwarf etc as I can't stay awake for a whole film.

Steaknife - my story is weirdly similar to yours. I went to Utila to learn to dive, ended up staying on to do my divemaster. Met DP and had fling. Became very good friends and stayed in touch. Went back to the UK, worked my arse off for 6 months to afford my instructor course, went back to Utila, DP was still there...stayed for another 4 years. Came back as diving and pregnancy don't really mix .

Whereabouts in the Alps are you? My parents have a flat in St Gervais (near Megeve) where they tend to spend most of the winter, and we may be borrowing it at some point this summer.

Need to go and pump - have become a lean mean pumping machine recently with work on the horizon - managed 24oz on Friday

Alieight · 25/01/2009 10:54

PS Steaknife just tried to fb you, but that email address isn't coming up?

cyteen · 25/01/2009 11:08
