Morning all.

Especially LG&T and India.

I will be requiring lengthy cuddles.

I shall be singing Hush Little Baby for the duration.

Morning all. I'm a bit confused by this new layout. I didn't know it was changing and it was a bit of a shock.

JamInMyWellies · 31/01/2009 08:46

AM have a fab time at the party, and remember just think of all the ammunition for future blackmailing purposes you will have by staying sober.

AprilMeadow · 31/01/2009 09:00

People are sweating about what i will remember already!

How are your little men doing?

Themasterandmargaritas · 31/01/2009 11:05

Wow! Knock'em dead April. Have a lovely time, and sending all our birthday wishes for dh's Big One.

Abby, I'm still a little disorientated too...

AbbyLou · 31/01/2009 19:13

Just popped on to say hope you have a great party tonight AM.
We've got bf and her dh coming round so really looking forward to a night of drinking, Chinese, gossiping and Wii!!

Themasterandmargaritas · 01/02/2009 17:11

Helloooo, is anybody there?

JamInMyWellies · 01/02/2009 17:43

It's snowing.

Themasterandmargaritas · 01/02/2009 18:45

Ahhh so everyone is out making snowpeople then? Bit chilly here tonight too, at 18 degrees.

AprilMeadow · 01/02/2009 20:51

Evening

Thanks for all the good wishes for the party. It was awesome. Many pictures on FB although there are some dodgy ones of me. Also check out the size of my 8wk bump - i think i should win a prize!

SKYTVADDICT · 02/02/2009 06:51

Looks like a good party AM.

Been very quiet on here this weekend.

I am currently pondering how the schools would view a parent who couldn't be bothered to go out in the cold so gives her children a snow day? Have Lincs FM on at the mo in the hope they will close both schools [hopeful emoticon]

DP been out gritting all night - his on call finishes at 7 (I think) so he shouldn't be home much after that - think we had better decamp to my mums to give him some quiet.

A few cms of snow and everything grinds to a halt - how are things everywhere else?

JamInMyWellies · 02/02/2009 09:25

Hats, gloves, scarfs warm coats, wellies. Right off out to build snowmen and throw some snowballs.

largeginandtonic · 02/02/2009 10:56

Morning

It's my first morning alone with them all and it snowed!!! We all slipped our way to school,me more than them as i wore my new boots Should have worn the furry uggs.

I have managed to make rocky road and empty the washing basket

AM the party looks fab! Your costume was very cool,dh would have been thrilled

Jam does A have wellies?Must get some for B.

Sky a snow day sounds good, mine all had to go in.

Master at your 18 degrees.

SKYTVADDICT · 02/02/2009 11:17

Should have stuck to my original snow day plan. DD1s school closed after she got there and DD2s is the only school in town still open and won't be closing but we can fetch them if we want!

Didn't get as far as my mums house as car hit a kerb when I lost control and it scared me a bit so I turned round and came home.

Going to play out in it later when DP gets up and may fetch DD2 after lunch but not in the car.

Love the boots LG&T.

charleymouse · 02/02/2009 11:17

Morning snow here about an inch and a half.

DD got her hands cold thi smorning making snowballs with Grampa so had to warm a teatowel in the microwave for her to snuggle on the way to nursery. Why she can't just wear gloves like anyone normal I beg of you. DH said I was mollycoddling her. DS just sat in it

Well nursery has asked us to pick DCs up early so will collect them after lunch and go home to make snowmen and snowangels. Going to tkae half a day leave as its not often we get proper snow. DD saw it this morning and gave a sharp intake of breath and said "its coloured like Christmas."

AM pics look fabulous. Hope you all had a good time. Looking forward to seeing you at the weekend.

Nice boots LG&T sorry DH is back at work.

Have eventualy wallpapered the kitchen, just got motivated last week and decided we needed to get finished. Also DH has bought a fishtank so had to paper where it was going as we don't want to move it once its fully loaded.

TMAM do you want me to send you some thermals?

MRSJB glad to hear your niece is coping okay.

MrsJ looking forward to seeing you at the weekend.

Jam snowing here to.

SKY thank your DH for doing such a good job and keeping us all safe. It's down to him we can get on with our lives.

MKG not just fantasy for boys, add some middle aged men in there as well.

SOH what's up Doc?

Anyway hope you are all well and here is my crappy joke.

Whats the difference between snowmen and snowomen?

SNOWBALLS.

charleymouse · 02/02/2009 11:18

SKY hope you, DC and car okay. Take care its slippy out there.

largeginandtonic · 02/02/2009 11:25

lol CM will tell the twins the joke later

Am off to get dh from work at 12, wish me luck on the roads!! Am scardey cat in the snow.

Sky hope you are ok.What a pain about the schools!

elkiedee · 02/02/2009 11:35

What's going on? We don't do snow like this in London, we don't know how to cope (ALL London buses cancelled, for example). And I'm in a particularly flat and low lying area. Hope TYG's ok, it's much higher up and hillier her way. Have had to book a cab to go and see the consultant this afternoon.

twelveyeargap · 02/02/2009 12:16

Elkie, don't go out in it! It's supposed to get worse this afternoon and the side roads and footpaths around here are treacherous. It will probably thaw tomorrow. Call them and re-arrange.

DH went to work on his scooter. I beg of you! He "only" came off once. Of course there's no way he can come home on it. I went out briefly in the car to check out the roads to see if I could go to get DH and it was treacherous. Some boys ended up pushing me up a bad bit in the road and I had to do some Top Gear style driving to get out of skids.

Have ordered DH home before the trains stop. Most of the tubes are off or severely delayed.

DD1 is off to Alexandra Park to slide down the hills on a metal tray. She was sneaking out with an anorak and skinny jeans on and was hugely unimpressed that I sent her back up to put on a ski jacket and trousers. I mean, if you have a ski jacket, why the hell not wear it?

A loved the snow. I put some pics on FB.

twelveyeargap · 02/02/2009 12:18

Oh and I bought a Maclaren Twin Triumph for the boot of the car. £50 on gumtree from someone in my area. Hoorah.

MKG · 02/02/2009 12:56

Hey everyone. Please don't send your snow my way. We are supposed to get some tonight though. Master you can send your weather my way though.

Nothing new to report in my life lately as I feel like I've been hit by a truck.

CM--I like the joke.

ShowOfHands · 02/02/2009 12:59

TYG, where's A's snowsuit from?

twelveyeargap · 02/02/2009 14:06

It's a Togz all in one, rather than a snow suit. I like them because you can bundle them up with jumpers underneath, but they're also fine for warmer weather.

largeginandtonic · 02/02/2009 14:48

I cant see the pics!

Itoo had to do some serious driving to get dh, wont be going out in the car again. Will go arse over tit later on the school run i expect

Bargain on the buggy TYG!!! I had one of those when i had the twins 10 years ago

I also went clothes shopping at the weekend and was horrified to find a 14 the oonly trews that fit. Time to stop the cake methinks

Themasterandmargaritas · 02/02/2009 15:07

Jeezus woman, you have only just given birth

Mine have all had Togz-esque stuff, we especially like the waterproof trews, they are enormous. I think ours were from Muddy Puddles??

It almost sounds like a holiday in the UK. Same old same old for us here, the sun is shining the little white clouds are scuttling along .

Loved the pg belly outfit April, you look lovely. Did you manage the whole evening without feeling too yeuky?

Charley - rofl I may have a fire this evening just to keep in the spirit of winter with you all.

Themasterandmargaritas · 02/02/2009 15:11

Elkie you know of course that today will be the day, the baby will be born in the back of a stranded double decker bus, delivered by a retired gentleman doctor, assisted by a lovely West African midwife newly arrived in the UK. The baby will be fare free on LT for the rest of his life.
