mornings not the problem , getting ds to sleep for more than 3 hrs in one go would be nice last two nights not too bad on average he wakes up @ 1-3-6
slept 9-5.30 last nigh am positively high

Fennel · 21/04/2005 09:56

hi dolbear. what do you do when he wakes?

dniece still waking in night, age 2.5, her parents are softer than I am. she sleeps at ours quite often and we have to service her needs in the night cos that's what she expects, but we ignore our own children.

TracyK · 21/04/2005 10:10

is he teething dolbear?
ds sleeps through in the main - but he sometimes coughs in the night - which sets off the bloody lullaby night light thingy - which wakes me up!!

Chuffed · 21/04/2005 10:14

dolbear how are you managing it. I thank my lucky stars dd has been a brilliant sleeper on the whole. A friends dd is wakes at least a couple of times a night is about 18mths and has never slept a whole night. She wakes up her mum with the request of more yum yum (milk)

MrsDoolittle · 21/04/2005 10:34

I think I'm pretty harsh.
I NEED my sleep!!

I given the phenomena of what happens in the morning in our house a name - 'Carpet Choas'!!

TracyK · 21/04/2005 10:37

lol MrsD!

dolbear · 21/04/2005 10:48

I don't talk to him etc I just go in and hand him a bottle , no point in leaving him cos dh won't anyway ! If I do leave him , he will keep goin for @ least an hr , so instread of 2 mins I loose 1 hr sleep
He does start when he has teeth coming or a cold , then he pushes it for a acouple of nights he does get the cold shoulder - makes no diff v thick skinned I feel
he is soo good in everything else

MrsDoolittle · 21/04/2005 11:09

HD - your little girl seems much more grown up from when I last saw her. It wasn't even that long ago
All these babies up on their feet! They seem much older now. Infact, they are toddlers!

TracyK · 21/04/2005 11:16

I think our babies are the cutest I've ever seen. Theres usually one dodgy looking baby - but we don't have any!!

Fennel · 21/04/2005 11:31

I'm with mrs d on the "I need my own sleep" thing. it makes such a difference to my mood in the daytimes.

the slide show is very cute isn't it?

Chuffed · 21/04/2005 11:39

Agree sleep is so important!
carpet chaos is such the right term MrsD, everything is everywhere unfortunately I have to pick most of it up before I leave or I wouldn't be able to get the buggy out the door.

TracyK · 21/04/2005 11:46

I forget about my carpet chaos upstairs until I take ds up for his bath at night - then I see it all!! oops - I should really make myself tidy it when ds is napping.

handlemecarefully · 21/04/2005 22:20

Lol at TraceyK's "there is usually one dodgy looking baby comment".

Agree though - they are adorable. Including mine - I must get around to posting a piccie.

handlemecarefully · 21/04/2005 22:21

Sorry for not spelling your name right

TracyK · 22/04/2005 08:36

New tooth for ds - no 7! Explains why he was acting a bit clingy (for the first time ever) getting dropped at nursery last week - poor sore teeth.
Had a 'lovely' afternoon in the garden yesterday. I have moved my violas and have decided to let ds have the run of the rest of the plants - they'll come back next year. Although he did empty an old plant pot onto the lawn and play with the dirt as if it was a sandpit. Then proceeded to run through my lovely white towels and sheets that were drying on the line with muddy hands!!
Aren;t they adoreable gggrrrr!

lunavix · 22/04/2005 09:51

Our lo's look so grown up from the last album we made - where is that one?

Ds is always clingy lol he won't do anything by the book he has the two middle bottom teeth and one canine at the top with another coming through - he looks bizarre!

Fennel · 22/04/2005 11:57

"carpet chaos" does imply you might be still able to see the carpet. At its worse ours is more like a tide of plastic sludge.

dd3 is very clingy at the moment. hates being put down unless someone gets down on the floor with her

she's one today! the others were a bit disappointed - yesterday they said "tomorrow we'll have a toddler in the house" and cos she's still not walking they feel a bit cheated.

dolbear · 22/04/2005 12:20

happy b-=day
lol the sheet had HUGE fight with ds re the drain y/dayin the garden , I did win , but god nos what the neighbours now think !
I hve no idea how many teeth ds has , he won't let me look and I don't want to encourage another fight , he is def testing boundries @ the mo - lovely
dropped him off @ my mums so I can concerntarte on getting ready for 'break' with no dh and ds to make me forget stuff !

Chuffed · 22/04/2005 12:34

Happy birthday Fennel's dd!!!! Also Metrobaby's ds too!!!!
dd helped make my salad last night, sat on the bench and ripped up lettuce.
don't know how many teeth dd has either, think it is around 6 (4 are easy to see) but she may be teething again as she is fighting me helping her brush her teeth which she tends to do when teething, also cheeks a bit red and a bit of nappy rash too.

hewlettsdaughter · 23/04/2005 19:35

Hi, hope Fennel's and Metrobaby's babies had good birthdays. LOL at your older dds feeling cheated, Fennel!

Hope you are all having a good weekend. We all have colds (again - had colds before we went away last week). Hey-ho.

LucyJones · 24/04/2005 18:19

Hi everyone. Hope you are enjoying the weekend and Happy Birthday to any birthday babies We have 8 teeth (4 top, 4 bottom) and now the next batch are coming through - think they are molars so 4 pointy bits to cut through for each tooth - yikes. Not a very happy baby here but bless him, he does try and smile through it!

TracyK · 24/04/2005 18:39

I think we have no 8 tooth on the way. ds woke crying this morning at 5.45am and was fairly miserable most of the morning till I gave him some baby neurofen. That cheared him up a bit but he only managed a 45min nap today and so has howled through his bath and was in bed asleep for 6.30pm. I hope he doesn't need more neurofen and his teeth are not sore tonight.

KristinaM · 25/04/2005 16:55

Ah you are looking for the dodgy looking baby Tracy - I have him . Don't know how to load up some photos so you can see for yourself...
.....only two teeth and very little hair...but he is the youngest baby here
