Eerr transcribing interviews - infinitely boring!

lunavix · 20/04/2005 15:44

Moan warning....

I HATE monkey music.

LJ, I know EXACTLY what you mean about going to these things for the kids! Well I go to our local mother/baby group for me as well as we are finally fitting in, but monkey music I do solely for ds...

Most of the other mum's have boys ds's age, which is nice as there aren't any at the baby group, but they all blatantly know each other from somewhere, another group or antenatal perhaps. They smile and say hi but that's it, and their boys are ALWAYS one step ahead of ds. They all crawled before him, then talked before, now they're all walking... I swear I get sympathetic looks off them but they daren't say anything (and that may also be me being oversensitive but at least MY child is cute looking!)

Ds also doesn't cope well with things being taken off him, when we do songs with tambourines or maracas and it's time to give them back he HOWLS and SOBS and doesn't stop - especially as the time of the class coincides usually starting to get tired so towrads the end of the class he gets really miserable. Then they all give me these damn looks again.

ARGH. I've signed up for another term as I'm sure ds loves it, plus getting out of the house also good but god damn I hate these people!

Okay rant over.

MrsDoolittle · 20/04/2005 15:49

Oh dear lunavix I'd hate that too

fab photos!!!! Lunavix - your ds's hair is beautiful!

YG - sorry, I haven't been keeping up with other threads much so I'm not sure what's going on, but hope you're OK - thinking of you...

Fennel · 20/04/2005 16:14

hello yorkiegirl - glad you're still around. sorry about your dh - it sounds the sort of thing my dp might get himself into. hope it sorts out soon.

lunavix - monkey music sounds horrendous!

on the going-to-playgroups, I am heartened by meeting a hunky father at local playgroup, turns out he's the band manager of a major band, so now I can flaunt my trendy connections.

Chuffed · 20/04/2005 16:44

Will pop a couple of photos on tonight - can't upload from work.
The photos are great - boy have all the little ones grown up.

Hey all - nice to log on and see all the photos

Yorkiegirl, I hope things get sorted out.

Dolbear, have you been to Centerparcs/Longleat before? Whereabouts on the map is your villa/apartment? We were in the 'Fir' area - it was a bit of a bike ride to get to the Plaza (where the swimming pool is) but there was loads of wildlife right outside our door.

hewlettsdaughter · 20/04/2005 19:34

Am adding a couple of pics to the album.

handlemecarefully · 20/04/2005 21:14

Yorkiegirl,

Good to hear from you....[solidarity emoticon]

dolbear · 20/04/2005 21:18

HLD , no we have never been b-4 , no idea where we are , will have a look , we r in confort + ( not cos we r posh but cos we left it late to book - ah well

hewlettsdaughter · 20/04/2005 22:25

A comfort villa is a basic villa dolbear (it's what we stayed in). If you're going to hire bikes then make sure you get to the bike hire place fairly smartish (esp. if you want a trailer for ds). If you have any questions, let me know! I hope you have a really good time...

mummytummy · 20/04/2005 23:06

It was my DD2s 1st birthday yesterday (19th) and its my DD1s 3rd birthday on 3 May.

LucyJones · 20/04/2005 23:11

hi mummytummy. Lunavix - how did you hear about monkey music, sounds like fun Yorkiegirl - hope you and dh are okay

Chuffed · 21/04/2005 09:12

Happy birthday for 19th too mummytummy - hasn't it all gone impossibly fast.
I hate mornings. dd keeps bringing me books to read and I feel terrible not having much time.

TracyK · 21/04/2005 09:40

ds just trashes my make up bag in the mornings - and the whole top floor in fact. Towels and clothes being dragged everywhere, makeup bag emptied on floor, water bottles thrown into and out of cot. He's a little monster.

lunavix · 21/04/2005 09:43

Ds grizzles all morning - he seems to be hungry from the second he gets up and has his milk and he doesn't stop till his breakfast.
