You poor thing

Sexonlegs · 12/01/2009 20:54

God that sounds awful GM. Hope you feel better soon xx

liath · 12/01/2009 21:04

Oooch, GM. Poor thing. Take it nice and easy and don't lift anything heavier than a cup of tea - doctors orders!!!!

Caz, I'm terrified of flying too . We're going to Spain with the in-laws this year & I'm bricking it already .

Eddas, your dd sounds fab.

Maveta - Miami ! Wow. Am impressed by the toilet signing. Ds is funny, he says "wee-wee" and loves going to the loo - sits there looking all pleased then insists on wiping himself. Sadly he misses the part where he actually does a wee! Oh well, plenty time. Dd is only just out of night nappies so no rush but it would be LOVELY to not be washing nappies any more.

Oooggs, I may have to pick your brains at some point as we're hoping to do our loft this year.

Gorgeous day today - sunny and mild. Felt like spring!

Maveta · 12/01/2009 21:09

SOL - thinking of you and your mum x

GM - poor thing, I keep delaying getting mine out - more because I´ve been quoted 2K!!! eeek.. think i´ll have them in forever.

Hi CD, Elkie, Stealth, Liath

geordieminx · 12/01/2009 21:16

mav get them done once you move back to sunny scotland. Por gratis!

MJreturns · 12/01/2009 21:21

Good evening all! I am back, possibly briefly (who knows!)

Dh still on nights and will be for at least another month yet, but it is actually going ok and I am used to things now.

Oooggs, thanks for replying to my text. Reminded me of how much I miss you lot!

Well, I am sure I have missed out on loads of stuff, but one thing I did read was SPB's news. CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!!!!! I am soooo pleased for you I love baby news, it's so fab (as long as it is not anything to do with me!!)

GM, hope you are ok, your mouth sounds horrendously painful xxx

NL, how is the job going? Hope you are still enjoying it as much as you were

SOL, apologies if I have missed anything, but I hope that your mum is getting on ok as I remember her just getting home the last time I was on here. Hope you are doing ok too xxx

And Elkie and Oooggs, I cannot believe that you both only have a few weeks to go. I truly feel as if my life is passing me by very very quickly just now!

Well, not much has changed here. F is a little bit bigger (although not much as she is a weeny little thing), and ds gets taller by the day. Other than that the hamster wheel that is my life continues to turn!
I really hope to be back soon, take care ladies xxx

MJreturns · 12/01/2009 21:54

Typical, I resurface and you lot bugger off!!
Off to bed now so night all xx

Sexonlegs · 12/01/2009 22:07

OhMJ, sorry dh was on the bloody laptop looking at cycling gear!!
So good to see you; was thinking about you at the weekend as B was painting the pottery cup she made when we met in the Summer Mum had a CT scan last Tuesday and gets the results tomorrow to see if the cancer has gone anywhere else - that's the latest. Hope you continue to survive dh's night shifts. xx

Hi Liath, long time no see!

Amazed at all this toilet interest.

K pulls her trousers down, but just for a laugh. She has moved in to Toddlers at nursery though, and they have loos and potties as well as changing mats, and the other day I changed her nappy and whilst clearing up, she sat herself on the potty- fully clothed!

Seems so scary that they are all growing up so much.

Anyway, off to bed shortly, so see you tomorrow.
xx

WOOHOO fab news SPB, sooooo excited for you

runny - if you get Working tax credit make sure you tell them, you get an extra bonus for doing 30 hours plus

feeling good here, headaches are a really bad side effect but I'm feeling much more able to cope

still not caught up though!

Hoping for good results for your mum today SOL. xx

P just woken up, gotta buzz ....

Eddas · 13/01/2009 07:41

thinking of you today too SOL

Nice to see you mj, come back soon

CaptainDippy · 13/01/2009 07:48

Hope G says "goodbye" at least this am Eddas

Eddas · 13/01/2009 07:51

i doubt she will oh well i'd rather have that than be sat in her class with her whilst trying to keep ds quiet!

MJreturns · 13/01/2009 09:22

Morning! SOL, thinking of you today. Hope your mum's results are good xxx

Hun (what a fab name!), I have just been reading about what has been happening with you. Glad that you have sorted things out and that you are feeling more like you again!

Eddas, how was the school run today? Believe me, that is much better than the screaming I used to get every day with ds, was a real nightmare at the time having to have the teacher prise him away from me. He doesn't even murmur any more, you just wouldn't think it was the same boy!!

MJreturns · 13/01/2009 09:24

And I didn't know about getting extra tax credit for working 30 hours plus. Thanks for that, may well be upping to 30 hours within the next month or so if my boss gets her way!

Eddas · 13/01/2009 09:26

well, she didn't say goodbye again she ran off up the steps before I had a chance to get there, coat on her peg and in the classroom! When I eventually made my way up the steps and in I went into class to find her sat with all the others! I don't think I even got a thought It is much better this way, but you'd think she'd want to say goodbye at least?!

Eddas · 13/01/2009 09:27

re tax credits, the rules are different for a joint award so don't bank on getting any extra!

MJreturns · 13/01/2009 09:28

It is hard either way isn't it Eddas! I used to hate it when ds would scream every day as I felt so guilty for leaving him, and yet if they run in and ignore you it's horrible too!

MJreturns · 13/01/2009 09:28

That sounds about right for the tax credits

Eddas · 13/01/2009 09:44

well, they're not exactly different rules as such, but basically with the working hours if dh/dp is already doing over 30 hours then it'll have no effect. It's not a case of if you're both over 30 hours, just one of you has to be. I know i was told about the working over 16 hours giving rise to working tax credit and it made no difference as dh does about 45 hours. A single friend was when I said i did 15 hours as she thought I was losing out be not doing 16 hours a week, but I did look into it before agreeing my part-time hours.

Doobydoo · 13/01/2009 10:02

Thinking of you all today SOL.
Sorry about headaches 'Hun'...hope they aren't a long lasting side effect.Pleased you are feeling abit better though

cazboldy · 13/01/2009 11:07

Doobydoo · 13/01/2009 11:09

Have you tried freecycle and other such groups Caz?

Eddas · 13/01/2009 11:43

I'm really happy today just thought i'd share that with you all! I come on here so often in a depressing mood but today i'm happy

I ordered some clothes from Asda at the weekend, including a bargainous 'I am 5' t-shirt, a little early for dd's bday but it was 63p! Anyway, the order turned up today with an 'I am 10' t-shirt

oops best be off to get dd from school. Fingers crossed she wasn't sick today

CallMeHunAtYourPeril · 13/01/2009 12:16

Eddas - I am 10 well, you have always said she likes to think she's older than she is!

I'm rather hyper now I'm taking the meds, much more like I was (thinking this may not be a good thing though ). I'm back to really enjoying work and the other stuff that comes with it (like adult conversation!) which is good cos I was really worried I'd take ages to get back into it.

Caz - will text you but I have a keyboard if you want it (went to Pesha when hers went wrong too! We could come over one evening after school or at the weekend - would be a good excuse
