if any of you (RUNNY) are considering building work, please put it off until the weather is much warmer - it is very cold and depressing in the house

Doobydoo · 08/01/2009 20:20

Woohoo OOOGGS.You will be nice and warm in hosp. Those builders need to get a feckin move on.

Sexonlegs · 08/01/2009 20:24

Evening all

GM, good luck with the Uni course and thereafter - sounds a great plan.

Bramshott, good luck with the present hunt. I find buying for men - esp of a certain age - v difficult.

Eddas, does your dd have a high instep maybe?

Erm...

Brain dead today.

Liath, I may just have a party for my 40th. I have a good friend who turns 40 the day before me, so perhaps a joint party with her.

Hun, have you had your appointment yet? I am lacking in memory.

Pesha, how is D?

Hi to Dooby, SPB, Ange and everyone else I have failed to mention. And any sign of MammyJo?

CaptainDippy · 08/01/2009 20:47

My my Bramshott that is a mighty big organ!!

Whooooop! oooggs Although imhe 3/5 engaged, head down don't mean diddly squat Hope it does for you though!

Yippee, people are having babies and ain't meeeeeee

StealthPo09IsHere · 08/01/2009 20:49

Hi everyone
GM - wow at C being a model
oooggs-3/5 engaged
SOL, how's your mum?

Sexonlegs · 08/01/2009 20:59

Blimey Oooggs, I missed your post. God, how exciting!!!!!

SPB, mum is doing well thank you. She looks so much better and has recovered well. She had a CT scan on Tuesday and will get the results next Tuesday (to see if the cancer has spread) Hopefully not. She will need chemo anyway, as it was found in some of her lymph glands.

leakyR · 08/01/2009 21:13

Not chickenpox for me but G has been a whingy, clingy, spotty nightmare since last night. I'm shattered was like having a newborn again last night. He woke every 2 and a half hours!

Hope he improves tomorrow will be awful leaving him with ILs if he's still really under the weather.

At work tomorrow. So off to bed soon.

Will tell you about Rome next week.

Would be nice to have baby news on here when I come back Oooggs or Elkie

StealthPo09IsHere · 08/01/2009 22:11

Glad to hear that SOL, hope it continues this way.
Sorry G has been ill Leaky.

Northernlurker · 08/01/2009 22:40

Oooggs - can you twiddle your nipples please and get dh to step up I said 09/01 and I would love to be right - so please consider this a baby order!

Pesha · 09/01/2009 10:56

Well I hate to say this but as Oooggs cheated last time and had 2 at once that means this is her 3rd birth and I believe 3rd labours tend to go on for weeks! I know mine did and lots of mners at the time said that that is quite normal so I am predicting the 23rd (would have said 22nd but as yu said your others have all come on a Thursday then the odds are stacked against that happening again!!). Sorry And having looked at your previous baby weights (had forgotten how massive your dts were!) I reckon 8lb 8. Again, sorry

And I think Elkie will get the wrong month again and be feb 2nd! And baby will be 7lb 13oz.

Loving the fact that everyone is calling Callmehunatyourperil Hun for short

Dylan carried on being sick all through the other night and was very clingy yesterday but no more sick which is good. Bit more cheerful today but still wanting 'cuggle' all the time and has that sickly sweet smell about him. He just pointed at the smileys and said 'Ball!'!

Had to buy him a Tigger snow suit thing at Disneyland because it was so cold (reduced from 45euros to 35, bargain ) but I love the fact that it means I can take him on the school run still in his 'jamas and noone knows!

Oh meant to say about cake talk, I did Nathan a Thomas cake for his 2nd birthday. Made a big 3D one and carved it to shape, used half a mini roll as the funnel, jammie dodgers cut in half for the wheels and that ready made coloured icing to do the face and other bits. But when I look at the pics you can tell I rushed it as the finish isnt great so would be nice to do it again but better. Although doing Percy is a fab idea so its not exactly the same and Dylan can actually say Percy, well 'ercy.

Cant believe they are going to be 2 in just a few months time

SOL - thinking of your mum and hope results come back all clear on Tues.
J's mum had an operation at start of this month and is waiting for results of biopsy. Dont know where or what though. And also J's grandad is apparently losing interest in doing anything, including getting washed and dressed, which is never a good sign So things not going too well for his family so far but hoping it all turns out ok.

CallMeHunAtYourPeril · 09/01/2009 13:51

You've been talking far too much for me to catch up!

Patient transport took me yesterday, just me so I got home by 5pm which was fab

I am now back on medication. The registrar I saw was lovely, has a toddler of a similar age and was hopeful that I can take the meds as a short term measure. She's allowing me to vary the dose dependent on how the night was, today I've had the minimum but in a split dose and I'm feeling back to my old self . Still sleepy, but just sleeping rather than zonked. Don't want to take them but if it gets me my life back then I'll roll with it!

And stop with the hunning

Ooh - on the subject of uniform - will be putting them on the for sale boards as Skott has some to sell (just don't ask but they're all woolworths brand new with tags!
He's got -
Boys white long sleeve shirts in age 3-4
Girls long sleeve blouses in age 3-4
Black skirts in age 4-5, 6-7, 8-9
Girls black trousers in age 2-3
Girls grey cardigan in age 6-7
White t-shirts in age 2-3

When our woolies shut they let you fill a storage box for £5, he came home with that lot - none of which fits either of my two!! He's got more than one of most things (but only 1 cardi) but I'm not sure of numbers, I stopped listening . I think he's planning on £1 an item so I said I'd list it on here for him.

Eddas · 09/01/2009 14:00

NL is famous....she is on MUmsnet talk roundup, about her MIL's christmas present!

Sexonlegs · 09/01/2009 16:04

Hun, really pleased it went well yesterday

NL, pmsl when I read (whilst eating breakfast) about Oooggs perhaps twiddling with her nipples

All ok here. How is everyone?

Northernlurker · 09/01/2009 16:33

Back from work and it's Friday - Hurrah!

I see poor mil has made it in to the round up - the thing was apparently a gel burner but you'd never know it. It was even a particularly gloomy grey colour!

Not called hun - glad you got on ok and survived the patient transport experience!

I notice Oooggs hasn't been on here all day - obviously she's off twiddling or birthing!

Eddas - I always ask my hairdresser what they think will look nice and then go with that!

CaptainDippy · 09/01/2009 18:16

Hun - I'll take the white blouses in 3-4 yrs off your hands, no worries. Can't believe DD2 is starting school this Sept - filled in her application form today!!
