Am I first? Couldn't think of what to call it....

VS - I think she is hungrier, yes, I tried giving more milk, which helped, but then yesterday she spurned more milk for more food (I guess she can't take both) and she did sleep better last night. Woke once at 5.30 for drink water and then 6.30 properly. She is never hungry for her breakfast til about 8 though - does anyone else have this? Should I stop giving a ten o clock feed?

chipmonkey · 19/01/2009 11:25

Keep trying, Peachy!

scorpio1 · 19/01/2009 11:30

i think i will nag dh for babies forever.

chipmonkey · 19/01/2009 11:37

hmm, in 10 years will scorpio be starting a thread called "How can I persuade dh to got for dc10?"

scorpio1 · 19/01/2009 11:38

thats about right!! No, we have agreed no more after dc4 as that will be 5 all together, and thats a big family for anybody. I would like another girl i think

scorpio1 · 19/01/2009 11:41

Are any of your babies clapping? Mimi is (copying us, etc) and wondered if this was the same as yours (not late?) [forgotten!]

Soph73 · 19/01/2009 12:08

Happy Anniversary Scorpio It truly is amazing how quickly the time goes. Sam occasionally puts his hands together as if he's clapping but I think that's more luck than judgement The occup therapist gave me what looks like a small ironing board with wheels & velcro straps on so I can strap Sam to it for 10 mins a day. What with that and his arm & leg supports it looks like I'm trying to torture information out of him

Ellie - will put your daughter down as potential DIL material

MHaH - still no teeth here either although Sam's constantly "teething".

Clarissimo · 19/01/2009 13:49

Bas clapping rasberry blowinga nd clicking yes

And he has a few hairs- he's blonde! Yet to see if curly like ds1 however.

chipmonkey · 19/01/2009 14:36

Harry has the dark mop of hair he was born with but with some blonde showing through, sort of as if he needs his roots done!
He isn't clapping but sort of slaps the table if we clap. I think he thinks he's clapping.

scorpio1 · 19/01/2009 14:38

oh ok good, just wondered as i forgot about this milestone, lol. Mimi loves raspberry blowing! we do it to her alot and she does mega dribbly ones back!

Mimi is blonde we get so many comments on it, because dh and other dc are so dark....

Soph73 · 19/01/2009 15:07

Sam still has very light brown hair & (thank heavens) his eyebrows & eyelashes are also brown now. They started off being white blonde & it didn't look as though he had any - bless. When the sun's shining through his hair you can see the red in it. Both our families have several members with red hair so it's not surprising.

What colour's the milkman's hair Scorpio

scorpio1 · 19/01/2009 15:08

the postman is blonde.

Soph73 · 19/01/2009 15:17

LOL

scorpio1 · 19/01/2009 15:19
Soph73 · 19/01/2009 15:39

I didn't think you were that sensitive Scorpio

LOL now that does sound bad!!!!

scorpio1 · 19/01/2009 15:44

more than you know Soph

was soooo funny. Forgot to lock bathroom door last night - me and DH in bath together.... 'Mummy why are you & Daddy in the bath together?' LOL. was also kissing the other day - 'Mummy why is daddy licking you' (all by ds2, 4)

chipmonkey · 19/01/2009 16:08

Tell him it's to save on heating the bathwater, scorpio!
Dunno how you go about explaining the licking though!

Soph73 · 19/01/2009 16:08

Lordy, if DH & I got in the bath together we'd need a tin opener to get us out again

When I was pregnant with DS1 my adorable DH thought he'd be really helpful & ran me a bath, lit candles, did the whole works. I got in, most of the water got out & I only managed to stay in 2 minutes as I was freezing because couldn't cover bump with any water. Also ended up trapping my sciatic nerve while trying to lay down in the stupid thing & DH had to winch me out!!

Please may I point out that our baths are narrower and shorter than English ones ..... that's my excuse and I'm sticking to it

Soph73 · 19/01/2009 16:41

Home time soon so off to clear up. See you tomorrow xxxxxx

VictorianSqualor · 19/01/2009 17:15

Happy Anniversary Scorpio
Have been doing some research today on weaning off the breast for you, (Had a spare hour for lunch so picked some people's brains and read a few bits and pieces in some books)
I'll post it a bit later or tomorrow when I get a moment. So busy!

EllieG · 19/01/2009 20:02

Oh no sal I was smug too soon! Last two nights - appalling sleep. Waking and crying LOADS. Don't know what to do. She's so unhappy at the moment, I used to feel really smug cos people would go 'Does your baby EVER cry? She's always smiling!' and I would go 'No, she doesn't cry much' in a very self-satisfied manner, and has all come back to haunt me. Why is she so unhappy do you think? I really hope is teething, as otherwise I have no idea what's wrong. She is so frustrated and clingy and grumpy and unlike herself. Came on about a week ago but has got worse last two days, and now sleeping badly too.
Is it too late to put her back?
Does anyone have any ideas?

soph - will not hold you to it, you might not want the moany one as part of the family

Maybe she gets it from me...I am moany too....sorry ladies am just tired.....

Happy anniversary scorpio!

Oh dear Ellie - have no idea what I can say to help but hopefully it is just a phase and it will pass!

Happy anniversay Scorpio - can't believe it really! I remember that when I joined the ante natal group it was called something like 'the one where Scorpio gets married' and that really doesn't feel that long ago!

Gigi blows raspberries, claps her hands and waves - think she pcked up the waving from 'In the night garden' as she never did it before - she loves Upsy Daisy!
