Am I first? Couldn't think of what to call it....

VS - I think she is hungrier, yes, I tried giving more milk, which helped, but then yesterday she spurned more milk for more food (I guess she can't take both) and she did sleep better last night. Woke once at 5.30 for drink water and then 6.30 properly. She is never hungry for her breakfast til about 8 though - does anyone else have this? Should I stop giving a ten o clock feed?

Hello, i'm back

What a week! Bas has beenr eally ill, prob flu but waiting on UTI results. Hd a battle witha prat who used the racist N word in a quiz sheet for our carnival club and now have shredded my ahnds after breaking into the house because the dorr altch clicked badly and I couldnt wake dh, didnt have any money or my bank card on me.

The xcar cost £900 to repair, and the hosue is a state. Oh and ds3's 1-1 has been sacked / walked out in a dispute (different stories) and I'm going to have to HE him as he isn't going backl there, can only do that if he gets his SEN unit place though.

ARRGGHHHHH

LOL at me, how useless am I?

On the flip side ahvent' been able to spend money as bank card lost, so thats been good and car now fixed. Bas feeling better toay and eating again, and DS1 has been behaving at xschool. So not that abd, really.

Just ow hands. Fortunately palms so I can still type- that would have been a disaster!

Sorry to hear of your sick brood, VS, and everything going wrong for you, Peachy.

MIL died this morning. If any one has any tips on how I can help DH, it would be much appreciated.

Soph73 · 15/01/2009 10:08

Clarissimo - sorry to hear your woes and hope everything picks up soon.

TSC - am so sorry to hear about your MIL. I'm sure someone will be along in a mo who can help. I've never (touch wood) been in your position so don't have any words of wisdom, sorry.

Clarissimo · 15/01/2009 10:28

Oh TSC I am so sorry! Puts my selfish whinging in perpesctive!

Just be there for him, make sure he knows you love him and let him show you how best to support him. Ask him to let you know what he needs so you can be that person.

Love to your family.

TheShipsCat · 15/01/2009 10:33

Thanks

scorpio1 · 15/01/2009 10:40

Tsc sorry to hear that.

When DH's grandad died (more like a father to him really) i just let him have space - but told him whatever, whenever you need it I am here. Lots of love to you all.

EF - oh poor you, you sound really very tired. DH is working alot here too; but at least my dc arent poorly too...just get the bare minimum done. I joke with a mum at school about going to travelodge here too! Why does ds2 get up - you will have to sort that! Hope you all get better soon.

Clairissimo - oh no!! you had to break in! And poor Bas. Hope your HE goes ok - i guess its the better option, wil lyou long term it or just wait for SEN unit place?

Its a horrid day here - better stay in again.

TheShipsCat · 15/01/2009 10:49

Hi Clarissimo - do you remember paranoid mummy? I don't think she's been here for a bit, but she has a problem that I thought you may have some wise words for ...

here

Soph73 · 15/01/2009 11:08

Aahhh, poor PM. Hope she comes back soon.

Guess what people ..... CHIP DAY - hoorah!

scorpio1 · 15/01/2009 11:12

This is going to sound really silly but dont want to start a thread.

Have had a few issues regarding sickness. Had D&V over xmas, and a hangover yesterday. I am scared that i wont be able to sleep incase i am sick before, and have to stay awake all night. Felt fine before sleep last night, but went to have sex but couldnt becuase i was too scared of being sick. Then turned lights out to sleep and started shaking and getting very hot. Have started to think about it again and am getting hotter and shaky

Im not scared of being sick at all. I dont know whats wrong/ feel very anxious indded

scorpio1 · 15/01/2009 11:13

worried about eating too

scorpio1 · 15/01/2009 11:28

anyone? have tried ringing dh but not answering

Soph73 · 15/01/2009 11:41

Poor you Scorpio. I don't know what to suggest really. Make yourself a piece of toast & nibble on it. Have you got any 7-Up or Lemonade which you can add a bit of water to & take sips of that and see how you go. Also have a lie down on the sofa and see how you go in an hour or two. Take some deep breaths as well to try and calm yourself and put some gentle music on before you lay down.

TheShipsCat · 15/01/2009 11:43

Sorry to hear that Scorpio. I don't know the answer. Are you on the pill/ any meds? There are bugs going round ... are you pregnant/ premenstrual?

scorpio1 · 15/01/2009 11:44

no meds, no contraception. have had D&V bug. Not pre-menstrual, around ov time at mo.

LadyBee · 15/01/2009 11:44

Scorpio, am not sure what you mean - do you mean you are stopping yourself from sleeping during nights because you are afraid you are going to be sick?

Or do you actually feel sicky and hot and shakey, but not all the time?

scorpio1 · 15/01/2009 11:44

was going to get dh to give me lavender oil massage later before bed. feel really odd

scorpio1 · 15/01/2009 11:45

too anxious to sleep becuase i am worried i am going to be sick but the action of sick or seeing sick doesnt bother me

i feel really shakey and anxious heart is racing feel faint

scorpio1 · 15/01/2009 11:47

i have to get ds from nursery now so dont worry if i am gone for bit

LadyBee · 15/01/2009 12:00

the thing I had the other day made me hot, heart-racing and sicky feeling and also completely miserable and tearful - maybe the same bug?
Too much caffeine?

Maybe try some lemon & ginger tea to help with sick feeling and help calm you. Eat something too - hangover causes drop in blood sugar, which can cause anxiety/palpitations/clamminess/trembling. Honey in the lemon & ginger tea should help with that but you need some proper carbohydrates for long-term energy boost.

LadyBee · 15/01/2009 12:05

just read back over thread, TSC so sorry to hear about MIL.
EF and Clarissimo, sounds like you have both had it rough lately.

Hmmm...I think April 08ers are due for a turn in their fortunes please? I know January is a tough month, but can we have break?

scorpio1 · 15/01/2009 12:06

ok i have that tea here already. will do that and find something carby for lunch

ElizabethanFilth · 15/01/2009 12:18

sweet and carby scorpio.
It's quite possibly blood sugar as you've not been eating.

TSC, so sorry about your MiL, when my Dad died there were times I wanted to be held and sob and times I wanted to be left alone and just get on with it so my advice would be to just take cues from him and try not to feel pushed away if he doesn't want comforting.

scorpio1 · 15/01/2009 13:01

had beans and toast, and am drinking that tea. feeling bit better. DH still not got back to me.

scorpio1 · 15/01/2009 13:08

oh and you know how i wanted to learn thai boxing, but worried about stepping on dhs toes? Me and a friend have joined pole dancing classes

LadyBee · 15/01/2009 13:33

mmmm beans and toast...think I might have that too, has got v cold here suddenly.

Pole dancing!! .
Suggest you text that to DH and see how fast he gets back to you.

Are you going to put a pole in your front room like this person? (you are redecorating, after all )
