Oblomov · 19/01/2009 10:59

Congratulations to MerryM on her solo.
You ONLY 'managed'?
Sounds good enough to me. I am WELL impressed.

LackaDAISYcal · 19/01/2009 11:03

Oh, Oblomov

I know the police were involved with your hypo, but surely that's an extenuating circumstance and as you weren't really in control of what was happening, things won't get to the point of you losing your kids?

Can you and DH speak to a counsellor? I wish I could make it all better for you

Not on a par with rutho's natural wit, but....

"an englishman, scotsman, irishman, priest, rabbi and vicar walk into a bar. The barman looks up and says....

....What is this...a joke?"

Hope that helped

wahey fab improvements on the sleeping, ladies!

Phee- that is what IMi has been like- now her snuffles have lifted she is sleeping so well.

Oblomov- it's not suprising you are both down- lack ofsleep is a real killer. DH and I have had some humdingers of rows, including ones where we have both packed our bags.

DD1 has started attempting to use the toilet, bless her. SHe wants to 'squirt' like DS. I knwo women can do this, bit I'm afraid it's not in my portfolio of skills to pass on! so we are trying the sitting down method for now..

Oblomov · 19/01/2009 11:12

Thanks guys.
Pink furry, we haven't even had any rows. Maybe thats what we DO need - a humdinger - joke.
By the way, I can "piss like a man" Would you like me to teach your daughter that skill ??

LackaDAISYcal · 19/01/2009 11:22

I'm impressed by your pelvic floor Obs!!

Pinky....you need to get her one of these

OP posts:
Oblomov · 19/01/2009 11:40

Or these - balls
pop them in the toilet and get her to aim at them -

Have updated profile.
Ds1 as Indiana Jones.
Ds2 has lost all his hair. The 'second hair' is coming through. Hope it hurry's up - I am not keen on this stage where they are all bauld.

LackaDAISYcal · 19/01/2009 11:45

mine have never lost any hair Obs, although bumble might be the exception as his hair is looking a lot less than what he was born with.

I'm adding new photos today to mine.

OP posts:
Oblomov · 19/01/2009 11:46

Why are my photos so small and crap and vbabs are so cool and big ?

LackaDAISYcal · 19/01/2009 12:20

when you upload them there is a box for the size of the photo that you can change

Dozymare · 19/01/2009 12:49

hello ladies, I am struggling to keep up on this thread now! Just don't seem to have any spare time anymore as always something going on! Hope you all had a lovely weekend, obs are things better now? Me thinks that as you never argue, you may be right and that a "civilised chat" a.k.a humdinger may be necessary to air your grieveances.....DH and I regularly have a "civilised chat" and TBH, we are the type of couple that need to.......good news, is that we are very rarely "not talking" or hold onto things as we do let go once we have talked about it.

vbab things better with you as well?? Your photos are lovely, I must get around to adding some to my profile (although don't hold your breath

I have lost 1lbs this week which brings my total to 5lbs. Am going for 2lbs this week meaning that first half stone magic mark.....could hae got there this week, but have had a girls night out with lots of booze and a bad day for chocolate last week, so just thankful not put on!!!

Our Tiger is a superstar still - I am soooo besotted with her, she is such a sweetheart. Am getting LBS very badly though and DH keeps telling me to "put her down" before I ruin her I just can't help it though! She is already very much a "mummies girl". Actually, thinking about it, she is more like an "everyones girl" as the whole family just want to be with her which is lovely. Forget PFB, I definately have a PTB!!!! (for those of you not aware of these acronyms, PFB is perfect first born, so my Tiger is a perfect Third born!)

Anyway, time for stories with DS2. HUgs to you all, will keep reading and only post when I have something to say, or can be of use to anyone!!

ruthosaurus · 19/01/2009 12:53

Hi all, off to catch up, but someone high-five me NOW please - 9.30 - 7.30 straight through!!!!!!!!!!!

Mainly because DH was in charge of him yesterday afternoon and didn't put him down for a nap, but still, yay!

Ojay, off to catch up!

ruthosaurus · 19/01/2009 13:12

Okay (not ojay, he's awful!), roughly caught up a bit.

So, Yo to all these big grownup babies who are sleeping through the night! Keep it real, sleepy tykes!

Lacks, I LOVE the way you always know where to find useful stuff on the net!

Dozy, me too.

Obs, I don't think they would take your kids away for that. I used to work in housing and social services would usually do anything to keep kids in their families, even in what I would consider very extreme circumstances. You are not (as far as I know! an habitual drug user or a sex offender and neither do you have form on harming your kids. Who told you that "they" would take your kids away, anyway? I think your DH is coping in the way that only men can i.e. by bottling it all up and then freaking out a bit, but I could be projecting my own circumstances here. It must be hard for him but the answer is not to remain silent until he can bear it no longer and then say "right, that's it, I'm off". You are a good mum and need extra support with a tiny baby and diabetes, that's all. Big hugs.

Speaking of DHs (I kow, me post coming up, groan), DH really made me laugh yesterday as I offered him a choice between looking after Fin + doing some tidying and washing up and the painting bathroom ceiling. He opted for the former, I did the latter and at the end of 3 hours the ceiling was done, including having to go out and buy paint and tidying up and cleaning the bathroom afterwards, whereas he had merely changed Fin's nappy 3 times and washed a few cups and plates. Then he claimed Fin was lovely but a handful and he (DH) was knackered!

I tried explaining that crying is how babies say, "Oi, I need some imput from you right now", and asked had he tried playing with him/reading to him/putting him down for a nap AS WELL as feeding him and cleaning him and he just gave me a Look, which I know meant "I hate it when you're right".

Big tee hee. At least it means that he doesn't think I'm sat on my bum doing nothing all day while he's out at his work. He did actually say it's a miracle that anything ever gets done...

Anyway, in my role as superwoman I have so far today made fishcakes and done a wash, off to hang it out and then wake Fin up.

LackaDAISYcal · 19/01/2009 13:30

bloody typical rutho....anything I (or my F) can do, you (or your F) can do better!!!!

Hey Dozy, I was wondering where you were hiding this morning

OP posts:
LackaDAISYcal · 19/01/2009 13:42

finding useful stuff on the net = spending too much time on the computer

My little grump bucket has woken up, is refusing to feed, or want cuddles, so is grumping in his chair now. I think he has wind but it'll come up in it's own good time.

OP posts:
LackaDAISYcal · 19/01/2009 13:42

oh, and I've posted a couple of recent photos.

OP posts:
LackaDAISYcal · 19/01/2009 13:48

obs, your boys are gorgeous

...and I appear to be talking to myself

i'll shut up now!!

OP posts:
PinkFurryStripeyTiger · 19/01/2009 14:03

Hello Daisy! Rutho You wonderwoman, you! Well done Fin.

Dozy busy- can imagine why

Oblomov I think I may put learning to wee like a man on my list of things to learn that may boost my self-confidence. It may also comein handy when camping.

Imi does not seem to be losing her hair, except her little baldy bit on the back of her head. DS had lost all his by now and DD1 has kept hers, so it looks like Imi is a redhead!

LOve the new photos.

Rosa · 19/01/2009 14:37

Obs and Daisly lovely pics - lovely children . I should get round to doing my profile but I must take more pics.and then download them !!
Congrats to all the sleeping babies we are getting there slowly minirosa is getting better now .
Obs good luck with the meal and having a great night out .....
Off to try and find a waterproof cape kind of thing so minirosa can stay dry in the pack whilst pushing dd1 in buggy have to do most on my own this week and rain forecast !
Not sure where to look though !!!

LackaDAISYcal · 19/01/2009 14:55

It's snowing here now. Big sloppy wet flakes, but definately snow....just in time for the school run!

OP posts:
ruthosaurus · 19/01/2009 15:04

Yay snow!

I now cannot keep Fin awake. He was awake for about an hour, did a HUGE poo, got changed, fed and has now fallen asleep again.

Oops, too soon, awake again! Good job I didn't start painting the bathroom woodwork.

Lacks, I have a funny feeling that Fin will now be lovely and rested and want to play "Shush" all night.

Rosa, Lacks has got to know where you can get a cape for a baby!

LackaDAISYcal · 19/01/2009 15:54

hmm....cape for just baby, or to go over both of you?

OP posts:
Oblomov · 19/01/2009 16:01

I have lovely images of Rosa in her classy cape, revealing buba all snuggly-wuggly. Has daisy found such a cape yet ?

PinkFurryStripeyTiger · 19/01/2009 16:41

Hi all

cape for mummy v.expensive, though

LackaDAISYcal · 19/01/2009 16:48

no, I have been looking for bags for my P&T and force feeding bumble as he's hardly taken anything today. I've had to express as I was getting really engorged and sore.

OP posts:
PinkFurryStripeyTiger · 19/01/2009 16:51
