Hey Leogaela, Kieran is fine he is keeping the use of his voice minimal, which is a relief. I bet Niklas looks so cute. Kieran is more long than fat he is about 65cm now.

He also sucks his hand and once in a while he finds his thumb, but then he loses it and cries.

norash40 · 04/05/2005 21:23

Kieran is wide awake and playing with his Daddy.

He has a nap usually up to 7ish and stays awake till around 10-11 same time we go to bed so works well for me cannot complain.

norash40 · 05/05/2005 14:21

I don't know what to say, just that I hope you get better soon.

misdee · 05/05/2005 14:23

i dont klnow if anyone can help. have seen GP, he has told me to take AD's and when i feel ready then contact the HV for support groups. tbh i have been expecting it with everyhting else that has been happening. the last week has hit me hard.

Girly · 05/05/2005 14:32

I am so sorry misdee that things are bad for you, i can't imagine th stress your are under, i really hope your dh's health improves soon and he gets the transplant he needs asap (((hug))

Do not feel bad about taking ad's they have saved my sanity twice before and make you feel more able to cope. I will be thinking of you!

Girly · 05/05/2005 14:34

Popsy, sounds like you had a bad night, i don't know how you manage on such little sleep, am sending some of Millies sleep vibes over to you

shalaa · 05/05/2005 14:56

Thanks for the birthday wishes! Me and Caleb are still ill but i'm sure we'll be better soon.

Misdee, i'm on AD's for panic attacks and they work well for me, maybe you could give them a go until you feel better?

Popsy, have you talked to your HV about your lack of sleep? She might have some suggestions or there's always the good old internet for advice!

bonym · 05/05/2005 15:14

Oh misdee - . Sending you {{{{{{{{hugs}}}}}}}}.

Nik72 · 05/05/2005 16:11

Hi folks,
Wasn't sure which post natal thread to join as had been in the feb antenatal one then Ellie hoved into view in March. Have kept an eye on this one as your babies are nearer her age. She's grand & doing well now we're through the first really difficult weeks. Sleeping at night but up twice for a feed but then straight back to sleep after.
Hope you're all Ok, hats off to those of you with more than one child - having one is so all consuming that I can't imagine coping if I had another, but I guess you just get on with it!!

3mummy · 05/05/2005 16:19

Hi Misdee, sorry you are feeling low. I had severe PND after DD2, I must say AD's helped a lot but I also had counselling with a psychiatric nurse who came to my house at least once a week, and was on the end of the phone if I ever needed to talk any time. Talk to your doc about the counselling it was free, and I went to PND support group that had a creche. I know it can be difficult to talk things through but it really does help - especially as there are factors outside the whole "baby and hormones" that upset you.

I am glad you have told us, this is a good sign. Also you have picked it up early so you can get on the road to recovery - well done you for going to the docs! I'm afraid I didn't have a clue what was going on in my head and did a lot of very silly things, luckily I have a terrific DH and a very good HV !

If you need a chat let me know.

3mummy · 05/05/2005 16:20

Hi and welcome Nik72 .

KerryJ · 05/05/2005 21:22

It's been a long time since I posted, so I hope I'm still welcome - I will try to pop in as often as I can!

Misdee - really sorry to hear you're suffering from PND. I think recognising it is the first step on the road to recovery - so well done. I have been feeling very 'blue' but the HV is visiting and phoning regularly which is helping.

Norash - a very belated congratulations!! You may remember we were 'there at the end' together. Toby arrived on his due date of 27th March, which was miraculous!!

Everyone else - I've been reading all your posts and it's made me feel a million times better knowing others are having similar issues to me. Toby has been very unsettled, particularly during the day, which hasn't been easy, however we are now approaching the magic 6 week milestone, and dare I say it, he does seem to be settling down a bit. We've even had some smiles, which helps!

DS1 now seems more able to ignore Toby rather than duffing him up at every opportunity, although I must admit I do still get massive feelings of guilt that I'm neglecting him now Toby is here. HV insists that he will survive and I know she's right, but that doesn't stop me feeling guilty and missing the freedom to just jump in the car with him and go to have fun somewhere.

Anyway, enough of my waffle. Will keep in touch!

Does anyone want to loose weight.

I am thinking that maybe we could start our own slimming club. I would certainly do with some help with motivation, maybe this way us March 05 Mums can do it together.

What do you guys think?

norash40 · 05/05/2005 22:27

Goodnight everyone {{{{{{{{sleep vibes}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}} [

3mummy · 06/05/2005 08:14

Brilliant idea norash40! I could do with watching the scales for a bit as I'm always hungry and my clothes are getting tighter! I used to do weightwatchers and helped run a meeting for a year and a half, I really enjoyed it and lost lots of weight but don't want to commit myself to it every week again now I have Faith - I want to enjoy my mornings with her .

Hi kerryj, good to see you back .

Faith is now just over 7wks - think she's having a growth spurt as she is feeding loads and sleeping oddly - Yesterday she fell asleep in her pram on way up to school (3pm) and I had to wake her at 8pm to feed as my boobs were full and getting tender! She then fed for an hour and went to bed (in cot) and woke again at 2am, fed (7oz bottle!!!!) thn went back to sleep til 5am. She came into my bed had 2 boobs (fed for an hour) and fell back to sleep again - which is where she is now! She's on a real sleep/eat thing at the mo'. I might pop her down the clinic to get weighed!

popsycal · 06/05/2005 09:19

well the two days of constant feeding has had its effect
woke up this moening looking like jordan

Well done 3Mummy.

All the best Popsycal.

Kieran is hanging from my shoulder as I type, he keeps sliding down and making cooing sounds. I think he is so cute. I think a poo is coming, he seems to go every 2 days now.
