Al Murray would be funny though Ria

FestiveFairyFay · 16/12/2008 10:24

Dh has taken the DCs to my parents for the day to have their hair cut. I was supposed to be having mine cut and coloured today as well but sadly that's out of the window. I think I'm going to take myself off for a soak in the bath to see if I can de-smeg myself a bit. See you all later

GloooooooooooooooooooRia · 16/12/2008 10:30

can you still buy Vicks Vapo-bath? I think we can only get it in Superdrug here, and it's about £5 a bottle, but DH swears by it when he's feeling rough

I wish I dared FF, but DS shouldn't wouldn't know who he was supposed to be (I hope) The families minister wouldn't mind, but it might raise a few eyebrows

Have just realised I am going to have to go to the supermarket on christmas eve because that's when I get my tax credits next week. Pah.

TheTwelveDAISYofChristmas · 16/12/2008 10:47

I was unconscious for those two hours Ria, so it must have done something good!

lol at Al Murray

hope you feel better after your bath fairy.

I have just received an unexpected mysterious parcel, so I am assuming my SS prezzie has arrived. Thank you, I am very excited and will get DH to spirit it away for me later (temptation)

HaveYourselfAJammyLittleXmas · 16/12/2008 11:54

Morning all (just).

Sorry for the poorly types, hope everyone feels much better soon.

Fairy, I have been asked to find out if the address you gave is still valid for Secret Santa, in case it doesn't get to you before you move? If you need to have it sent elsewhere can you let me know and I will pass it on? Thanks. I'm hoping to get my Santa present in the post soon by the way, so please be patient with me as well everyone!

FestiveFairyFay · 16/12/2008 12:08

Hi Jammy, to be honest I hadn't thought of that. We do have a re-direction but it might be best to send it to my parents' address as that's where we'll be, just in case. I'll email you now.

Sputnik · 16/12/2008 12:54

Sorry to hear you're not well Fairy, it's the last thing you need. So is the green one Po? Please take it off my hands someone!

FestiveFairyFay · 16/12/2008 13:31

Thanks Sputnik. Po is the red one. The green one is Dipsy

GloooooooooooooooooooRia · 16/12/2008 15:22

just been to the library. It was very unfestive and only 2 xmassy books. We have got Mogs christmas audio book for the car if DS2 comes to PILs on Thursday.

good news I think, DH has been quizzed by senior management today about his direct managers. and being DH he was brutal bluntly honest. Just hope it doesn't blow up in his face And he brought home chocolates too bitter for me as seriously dark, but the one with raspberry jelly stuff was nice.

FestiveFairyFay · 16/12/2008 15:40

drooooool at home made dark chocs

have you read Alan Titchmarsh's collection of christmas tales. I am getting it out tonight (when I have tidied the shelves). I got the Gervais Phinn christmas book from the library for me and DS1.

TheTwelveDAISYofChristmas · 16/12/2008 16:35

I love The Grinch

I was the Virgin Mary once.
You can tell, can't you

HaveYourselfAJammyLittleXmas · 16/12/2008 17:46

I'm done going to work until Jan 5th now
I do have 4.25 hours to do at home this week, but hey that's OK.

WewishyouaBUMPERLICIOUS · 16/12/2008 18:47

Hello, little bit drunk. Benn for work Xmas do. Wasn't supposed to go, as couldn't afford £30! But a colleague called in sick and offered me his place. Thing is, I arranged to go to the cinema tonight with a friend, but was having a really great time. Think it is good that I left as more wine + work colleague does not = a happy ending. So even though I left everyone having a fab time am trying to convince myself it is a good thing, and I will feel better than everyone tomorrow. Fecking knackered though. Didn't get to sleep till 2am last night!

NattyTurkeyAndEggnog · 16/12/2008 19:11

evening all.. hope its going to be a chatty night, as im to knackered to get off the sofa, and hoping for some company.
i keep falling asleep! randomly, like i have that condition, narcalepsy (sp?)
this baby is making me so so tired, i slept till 11 today (DH got up with kids) and fell asleep on the sofa again at 4, and i could quite happily go to bed again now.

i feel like im sleeping away christmas!

ImDreamingOfANortyXmas · 16/12/2008 19:48

Hi all, in the event of no takers, I'll relieve you of your TT stuff Sputnik and Daisy....if that's ok? I'll pay you for it and postage .

Not sure I have your e-mail addresses...I'll FB you with mine as I can't get to FB at work.

2 days of work for me and 11 months off

My low fat chicken korma (if such a thing exists) smells scrummy and I'm starving....hope the gall bladder holds out

Glad you had a good time Bumper....and good on you at getting out whilst still with it....I'm not very good at doing that and have made a right prat of myself (in my younger days!)

Fairy ....hope you feel better soon....you'll get there....moving is so bloody stressful, especially right before Xmas and with 2 DCs.

HaveYourselfAJammyLittleXmas · 16/12/2008 20:18

Evening I have been to the hairdressers and had my hair coloured and straightened so I am feeling all glam. And the bext bit is that thanks to the generosity of my MIL who sent me vouchers for my birthday it only cost me £10

NattyTurkeyAndEggnog · 16/12/2008 20:29

oo jammy lucky you!
very

HaveYourselfAJammyLittleXmas · 16/12/2008 20:35

Hi Natty. Shame I've got nowhere to go with my new hair. But at least I get to eat in a few minutes, I'm starving! Came in from work and went out 20 mins later to hairdressers without any tea. (Not that I'm complaining, I got a bit of me time while DH did bedtime )
