hello

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
happynewRia · 30/12/2008 19:19

I think the making noises is the important thing. baggins knows what he wants and can get it (usually by squeaking)

trace2 · 30/12/2008 19:25

lol dont they all

LittleMissNorty · 30/12/2008 19:36

not much recognisable talking here but plenty of babbling - and whinging to get what she wants. And singing.....everytime Igglepiggle and Upsy Daisy come on the TV, she does their dance and sings .

HaveYourselfAJammyLittleXmas · 30/12/2008 19:36

No talking from jamlet Lots of squeaking though when she wants something and babbling when she is happy. No walking either still

But well done to Daisy's and Trace's DDs

Had a great day, can't say it enough. It is wonderful having jamlet around, but was SO good to have a day out just the two of us. I have just put some pics on FB from the exhibition. It was cool, especially the daleks and the cybermen. We were there a couple of hours, then came back, stopping off here for lunch on the way back. I had roasted pumpkin and squash with herb dressing, salmon served on a pearl barley "risotto", and cheese and biscuits as desert. Am still full now. And after picking jamlet up from nursery we called at Sainsurys to get stuff for me to make lush NYE supper for me & DH (roast pork, dauphinoise potatos and vegetables, followed by trifle). Have to go start on the trifle soon, but stomach is groaning at the thought of food.

trace2 · 30/12/2008 19:38

chloe loves in the night garden too

LittleMissNorty · 30/12/2008 19:38

Sounds a lovely day Jammy.....we had a nice child free day as well.

DD goes upto the third room in nursery next week.....my baby is growing up.....

LittleMissNorty · 30/12/2008 19:40

It transfixes them doesn't it Trace......does she like Teletubbies too.....they and ITNG are DDs absolute favourites atm

trace2 · 30/12/2008 19:42

yes and she loves balamory music too

HaveYourselfAJammyLittleXmas · 30/12/2008 19:45

Jamlet also loves ITNG, yes I agree it really does transfix her.

She is really into her new Christmas toys though - spent ages playing with her fire station tonight, pushing the fire engine in and out through the station doors, putting the firemen in and out of the fire engine. Was really sweet to watch. I told DH off for sitting with his nose in his laptop ignoring her though.

BumpermightsuetheSindie · 30/12/2008 19:47

Hello

Jammy, I missed where you went? Glad you had a fab day though. I've loved being around DD (with DH, much easier with two of us) but would love a short break. Am going to try and badger DH to take her out for an afternoon.

Foxy when do you think your move will be?

TB good luck with everything!

My dad bought me a HUGE box of lush stuff for Christmas, can't wait to have a bath with something lovely.

Daisy, how's the feeding going? I'm sorry I haven't asked after you more, recently. I've been so preoccupied with my work shit and DH's work shit.

trace2 · 30/12/2008 19:50

hhhmmmm i love lush

BumpermightsuetheSindie · 30/12/2008 19:52

Oh trace, sorry, hope DD is ok. Glad she is babbling away.

DD talks a lot. Doesn't always say much of sense, but talks to everyone very vehemently . Mostly it's animal sounds, doo-doo for satsuma, hat, and as ever daydee [baby or upsydaisy]. She also loves ITNG. Someone bought her a (very noisy) ITNG playmat for Christmas and my bro got her dancing Iggle Piggle. They have off buttons but tis only a matter of time before she finds them!

trace2 · 30/12/2008 19:54

bump dont be sorry i think if dd was not under every one she would talk in her own time!!!

chloe got the mat and iggle piggle talking one too shes found the button

happynewRia · 30/12/2008 19:56

your dad has good taste in prezzies bumper.

your day sounds great jammy. and the meal. and your NYE meal. That is how I was feeling about food though, and that is why I've started the healthy eating a week early. I will fall off no doubt! DS1 back from his friends now, so I suppose we'll be discussing the NYE menu now! (Am tempted to cancel NYD so I can have chinese with DH when he gets in from work) will have a look at FB later.

HaveYourselfAJammyLittleXmas · 30/12/2008 19:57

Bumper, we went to the Doctor Who Exhibition.

OK, we wanted a black cherry jelly for our trifle tomorrow, but they didn't do that flavour, so I bought some tinned cherries and some gelatine and I am now going to have a go... Wish me luck!

Sputnik · 30/12/2008 20:02

No talking here either, apart from "cat", but he does try to sing wind the bobbin up.

HaveYourselfAJammyLittleXmas · 30/12/2008 20:04

Sputnik. Jamlet joins in with the actions - she winds her hands round (kind of), points to the ceiling, claps a bit (sometimes) and then slaps her hands on her knees, repeatedly, with gusto and giggles. She also does a good Twinkle Twinkle

HaveYourselfAJammyLittleXmas · 30/12/2008 20:06

(Haven't got up to do the jelly yet, listening to phone call between DH and MIL about us going on holiday with them next year)

LittleMissNorty · 30/12/2008 20:07

oh that sounds like fun Jammy ....well, it wouldn't be with my MIL but yours may be fine

Sputnik · 30/12/2008 20:10

And I managed to stick to eating sensibly today too, apart from a very small unplanned glass of wine, which was DH's fault. I made a huge bowl of mayo-less coleslaw with apples and celery at luchtime, and left enough to have some at 5 when I always want to snack. Just need to last from here to bedtime now.

Sputnik · 30/12/2008 20:12

My DD was an expert with wind the bobbin up, she could do it at about a year, and with her feet too on request. DS just looks at you and grins, then does it on his own later.

HaveYourselfAJammyLittleXmas · 30/12/2008 20:41

It is ILs 40th anniversary next year, and they want to go back to Guernsey where they honeymooned, and have asked us to join them for part or all of the week. As it is our anniversary too that week (will be a mere 11 years for us though) we have said yes. Also will be lovely for them to spend some time with jamlet and her with them. On the whole I get on very well with them, so should be OK.

LittleMissNorty · 30/12/2008 21:06

You're very lucky Jammy.....even my DH can't spend any time with his own mother.....

Well done Sputnik....I have got to find my willpower when this baby is here

Sputnik · 30/12/2008 21:18

Thanks Norty, but this is about the zillionth time I've embarked on a weightloss campaign since DS came along, so it's early days.

TheTwelveDAISYofChristmas · 30/12/2008 21:33

another fave pressie of DDs is some ITNG magnetic "stickers" that she happily shuffles back and forth on the side of the fridge freezer....bargain at 69p from our local version of poundstretcher.

holiday with the folks sounds good jammy.
