Right, I'm off to bed. Glad you're back Holly.

Night all

GloooooooooooooooooooRia · 19/12/2008 23:44

we are indeed the best

I have put up some xmas decs on the fireplace wall and some cards, and tidied the bookcase. So it looks a bit christmassy. Might do the tree tomorrow as I don't think I want to watch Strictly. AM at a loss with what to do with the cards though.
And Fairytale of New York is on Paddy's xmas song thingy.

It's christmas

GloooooooooooooooooooRia · 19/12/2008 23:45

now for writing some cards. And I am sober this year!

Morning all. Oh dear I've just been looking at FB and my niece has a friend who calls her "hun"

HaveYourselfAJammyLittleXmas · 20/12/2008 08:09

Oh and I picked this recipe leaflet up from Waitrose yesterday and haven't made them yet but they look so yummy I thought I would share.

WewishyouaBUMPERLICIOUS · 20/12/2008 09:23

Morning everyone

Daisy how are you feeling?

Lcy is coming to visit so I have already made pastry which is chilling in the fridge.

GloooooooooooooooooooRia · 20/12/2008 11:05

first supermarket run of xmas later I plan to go while DH is on his break so I don't have to take all the boys/farm them out to GPs. Please tell me I can be there and back in 3 hours??? Wish I could do it all today, but will need bread, milk & freash stuff on Xmas Eve as we won't need it at home until boxing day. I suppose I could go shopping on boxing day. Is Tesco open? Do you think it would be bargain-worthy?

GloooooooooooooooooooRia · 20/12/2008 11:08

bugger, closed Boxing Day (as they should be IMO), so xmas eve it is.

Ohforfoxsake · 20/12/2008 14:21

Our local shopping centre is open on Boxing Day, and I think the supermarkets are.

I'm getting my shopping delivered on Tues 23rd. That'll do it. And I'll get to Sainsburys at opening time on Christmas Eve to get anything that hasn't come. Its always empty and the shelves are stocked. But as I leave, its heaving. You have to be there when the doors open to get round and out.

God I'm sad

I need to do some wrapping. yawn.

it wasn't as bad as I'd expected tbh. but I atil have a few things for Xmas Eve. sounds like a good plan foxy, no doubt I won't be organised enough to go til nearly closing time...

I think baggins might be feeling under the weather

has Jammy gone yet? Safe journey and happy christmas JAMMY!!!

HaveYourselfAJammyLittleXmas · 20/12/2008 19:51

Nah, I'm still here Ria. We don't go until Monday morning.

HaveYourselfAJammyLittleXmas · 20/12/2008 20:16

Had a nice day out but we are all exhausted now. Met friends at Nat Hist museum for dinosaurs and lunch, then went to the Winter Wonderland in Hyde Park (bit too busy really, but nice to see and I'm glad we went.) Our friends' DD loved the huge wibbly wobbly slide. Jamlet was a bit too small but seemed happy wastching everyone. They did have this cute reindeer ride that DH would have taken her on but the queue was unbelievable! But we walked everywhere instead of using the tube and I have just mapped it out and we walked 4.8 miles in London, plus a mile each way from home to our station. So no wonder we're worn out!

justbeme · 20/12/2008 21:51

Sounds like you had a busy day Jammy!
Im worn out from shopping.

Not sure if any of you know this - but I didn't, so hope it helps someone.

I found out that if you're on certain benefits - eg Income Support, Housing benefit, Working Tax credit and child tax credit (above the basic amount - whatever that is)
and your income is £25,521 or less pa,

Then from after the term your child is 2 - you get 3 free pre school sessions a week. (2.5hrs each). and apparently this may go up to 5 sessions a week from April.

So I've got my daughters name down at our local nursery, because at 2 places are limited!

GloooooooooooooooooooRia · 20/12/2008 23:10

they grow up too fast JBM. How are you doing?

DS1 asked me what a gang-bang was today, in the fruit and veg aisle of Morrisons

I have written my first draft of my assignment. it's only due this week!

plan for tomorrow - tree, chrurch and finishing assignment. Then maybe I can get on with enjoying christmas. I need a window to do wrapping though cos DS1 is in bed on edge listening for sellotape.

TheTwelveDAISYofChristmas · 20/12/2008 23:28

Have we all seen THIS?

change is afoot again at MN Towers!

sorry, just posting and running hobbling

hope all is well with everyone.

Last night I was teading DH about which CBeebies characters he might fancy. (Starting because he was wondering whether or not he fancies Nina of neurons fame). He then turned to me and said I have fantasies about Mr Tumble bearing down on me . Eeeeeeeewwwwwwwwwwwww!!!!!!!!!

GloooooooooooooooooooRia · 21/12/2008 19:30

EEEWW indeed jammy. I quite like Boogie Pete

It's quiet today.

I have a decorated tree!

and baggins is covered in a rash with a temperature.

HaveYourselfAJammyLittleXmas · 21/12/2008 20:27

It is indeed very quiet.
for your tree but for Baggins' rash

HaveYourselfAJammyLittleXmas · 21/12/2008 21:16

OK, I am off to bathe and then to bed. We are aiming to be away early in the morning so as to miss the worst of the M6 traffic. Think of us as we trundle up to Cumbria tomorrow. Almost everything is packed, we just have to fit it in the car somehow! Some presents might be left behind to open when we get back.

I might get to pop on during the week from my ILs computer, but in case not have a lovely, lovely, Christmas everyone. I hope that all remaining illnesses, aches and pains magically clear up by then, that you all get something you really want under the tree, and that all the LOs and DHs/DPs have a fab time too. I will be back next weekend.

ImDreamingOfANortyXmas · 21/12/2008 22:09

Happy Xmas Jammy and family x . hope your journey is good x

GloooooooooooooooooooRia · 21/12/2008 22:14

TheTwelveDAISYofChristmas · 21/12/2008 23:26

feeling relaxed is good. I am feeling more so than I was.
Church was interesting, I have seen first hand how to put on a nativity without any rehersals (we used to reherse for weeks when I was little), plus a vicar in hen-night fairy wings.

does DH get a special "shopping spot" daisy, or does he have to fight his way through like the rest of us? (I will be glad to get back to Tesco, but thanks for the £20 voucher morrisons!)

is David Essex ever on these "nations favourite xmas songs" programmes? I need a life!
