Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
EachPeachPearMum · 03/12/2008 20:45

Likewise- but I just can't drive that far atm- too bloody painful
The rpoblem is they get themselves in such a state with the overtiredness don't they? I had forgotten all that
WHY exactly did I think a 2nd DC would be a good idea?

Jas- hope dd2 isn;t required to be jumped on again this evening- poor lass!

Jas · 03/12/2008 21:47

I am csws!

DD2 is in tears with sudden onset tummy ache
DS is "reading"

CantSleepWontSleep · 04/12/2008 07:54

You thought that a second dc would be a good idea because you remember that when they learn to smile they can melt your heart and make you forgive them anything .

Better night here thankfully.

How long did ds read for Jas?

Flamesparrow · 04/12/2008 07:56

What the hell is wrong with me??? I well up at the learning to smile bit

DS reads too... Normally Monkey Puzzle because he can sit there and say "No, no, no!"

Jas · 04/12/2008 08:39

Aww. Surely we all remember that learning to smile bit.

Thankfully dd2 went to sleep shortly after my last post, but ds was up til 11.30
He did go to sleep in the bed (eventually) which must be a step forward!

EachPeachPearMum · 04/12/2008 13:04

DD didn't become smiley until around 14 mo- I think that isn't long enough for me to have forgotten!
Glad your night was better CSWS.
Is DS any better illness-wise Jas?

flamesparrow · 04/12/2008 16:05

Turns out I forgot to put sandwiches in DD's lunchbox

And she told the dinner lady who gave her pizza, so it is going to get back to my mum

EachPeachPearMum · 04/12/2008 20:41

oops Flame! At least they gave her something though

CSWS_ hows DS sleeping?

Jas · 04/12/2008 21:01

I've done it before, too Flame (but my mum didn't find out!)

DS got up the ladder into the loft this afternoon (don't ask....dp was supposed to be watching him!) and unwrapped all the Christmas presents.

EachPeachPearMum · 04/12/2008 22:18

Oh Jas- am speechless.
Haven't even wrapped DD's...but she has no idea where to look thank goodness.
What have dd's said? Does DD2 still believe?

Jas · 04/12/2008 22:35

He didn't really take any notice of what they were, and the dds were at school, so could have been worse I suppose.

I don't think the dds believe but FC has never delivered all the presents in our house, only stockings, so not a surprise for them to know I have presents hidden. In fact they had helped me wrap lots of them - for dp and all his family

EachPeachPearMum · 04/12/2008 22:55

Well- thank goodness for that.
A pita to re-wrap them though!

CantSleepWontSleep · 05/12/2008 08:22

No miracle cures from the Amby. Ds woke 1 min after going into it the first time. Tried again after a feed around midnight, and he seemed to like the bouncing, but again only settled for a minute. Tried him in it again at 4am, and whilst he stayed in it for half an hour, sometimes with me bouncing and sometimes not, he didn't actually sleep in it, so then came back into bed with me.

Argh for presents Jas.

EachPeachPearMum · 05/12/2008 09:07

csws-

WellOiledWench · 05/12/2008 09:55

Ah, just let him stay in bed with you (see how standards slip with second child)

Am I the only person that finds the present incident funny? Sorry!

Busy here; now do minimum 7 clasees a week plus couple runs and a bit of pole Need to work out how to cram more into my time tho. Today for example, ran home from taking ds1 to school (Dh at home so no ds2) then going running with aerobics teacher in a while, then got a class tonight.

And I did take on fayre co ordinator, with a team of 4. Think I must be mad.

EachPeachPearMum · 05/12/2008 10:52

WoW
Actually DH did laugh - I didn't I just thought of all that hard work wrapping and re-wrapping.

CantSleepWontSleep · 05/12/2008 20:12

You're nuts WOW - that's far too much exercise for one person!

I don't want him to stay in bed with me because he wants to be held all night, so it's not just a case of lying there next to him, and even then he isn't always happy. Will try the Amby again at some point tonight.

EachPeachPearMum · 05/12/2008 20:27

Hope it's a better one... and for you too Jas.

Jas · 05/12/2008 21:06

No chance. He tucked himself into bed at 2pm and went to sleep!

He's watching Hong Kong Phooey (Honky-pooey) with dd1 now.

We went to the farm to see santa and got presents and free mince pies this evening
And dp is working tomorrow

We've had fun with a not-so-nice neighbour this week. He had a row with dp over parking yesterday, and threatened to report our untaxed car (it ran out 5 days ago!).....I sorted the tax out (had been waiting for tax credits to go into the bank to do it) and today we had two enforcement vans with cameras and clamps down our road. The only untaxed car they found belongs to the widow of our neigbour who died suddenly last month, and they were sympathetic enough not to clamp his car just yet.
Not surprisingly he doesn't have many friends locally (but does have a relative in the DVLC)

Ah, well it is done now.

Christmas decs tomorrow I think

I hope ds gets used to the Amby csws [hopeful but weak smile]

Jas · 05/12/2008 23:38

Still up.

Jas · 06/12/2008 00:35

In bed, but still awake.

CantSleepWontSleep · 06/12/2008 07:34

Blimey Jas, that's baaaaaad.

DS slept for 1.5hrs in the Amby . I know it's not long, but it's a big step in the right direction, and the longest he managed to sleep for anywhere last night, as he wanted to feed every 1.5hrs!

flamesparrow · 06/12/2008 10:00

yay for him sleeping longer.

What is it with these children atm??? Mine is coming in to us at some point in the night, but I am now so tired I don't even notice. I need to get it sorted soon.

Xmas outing with DSis today We're taking the children for her to buy them bears from BuildaBear - DD has been wanting one since they went with school this time last year, so she is going to be soooooooooooooooo

Jas · 06/12/2008 10:26

Sounds like progress, at least, csws.
Are you better now?

@ Christmas shopping.
I've promised I'll get the decs down from the loft for the dds today

Phoenix · 06/12/2008 10:44

God Jas, what time does he get up when he doesn't go to sleep til that time?

for progress csws, hope it gets better.

for shopping trip Flame. Have a nice day (even though wherever you're going will probably be packed )

WOW - I second you been nuts

Hi EPPM and Friz if you're lurking

Oh and i did have a little snigger at the present unwrapping, sorry Jas hope they don't take too long to re-wrap.

We're putting our tree up tomorrow i think. Dh put some lights outside last weekend. I'm so excited for christmas this year. Ds is at an age to be understanding it more this year

I had my booking in appointment with mw on Wednesday. My BP was high so she got me a doctors appointment for that afternoon. Was at the doctors 1.5 hours and BP still high. I have to go this Weds to have it re-checked. Hopefully me not having to chase Lew round the waiting room will help it be lower The mw did say that due to my high BP she would try rush my scan through to have it at 10 wks. The only prob with that is i am 10wks christmas week so don't think that'll happen
