Hello everyone

Welcome back Annobal

Lilkel - don't go - we've only just got you back ....sounds very fustrating re DS and I'm sure I'd be worried silly as well....so have no helpful words I'm afraid as not worrying probably isn't on the menu is it? I hope you both start getting some proper help though and all the music ideas etc on here sound great.

Daisy...{{hugs}} sounds like you're having a crap time atm...just give DD whatever she wants....I gave DD normal formula (also Farley's) during her poorly tummy and a few weeks ago I also had a DD that was whingy / runny nappies / miserable / not eating properly...for no apparent reason and if you remember she was sending me fucking mad....and after a couple of weeks of a nightmare (for me), she got over it and got her appetite back and started cruising and standing up....so perhaps Foxy is right....strange behaviour precedes learning how to do something new. Try and relax....and hopefully she will (sorry if that sounds really patronising).

Izzy - fab news about your mum

Hi everyone else....have been lurking but nothing much to say really....

Got a phone call this morning....can I take up a cancellation and have my gall bladder out tomorrow ...great I thought....rung DH and he can't get time off work ....I'm really pissed off cos now its bound to be at an inconvenient time....

Phew....sorry ladies, long post!

Riallyclean · 16/04/2008 20:26

Hi norty, was wondering where you'd gone.

SHame about tomorrow, would you prefer it to be short notice or have time to prepare? Or aren't you bothered cos you just want it done and dusted?

Bumperlicious · 16/04/2008 20:29

Evening all

Film group ria? That sounds cool. What are you doing there?

Foxy I bet DD looked fab, are you going to be a "ballet mother"?

Lilkel don't go, honestly you can moan on here as much as you like!

Daisy, huge hugs for you, you are doing a fab job. Hope DD feels better soon. You know my number if you need it.

Fury, are you ok? You been off for ages.

Annobal!! Good to have you back. Glad all is going well so far!

MHC, sputnik is sending me a copy of the numbers Baby Einstein which I am very excited about. But some of the others would be great, do you have the Monet one?

Popping off to have a bath. Sorry I am not around much. I'm manically busy now I am back at work, although I still have 4 days off I'm packing in a lot (well, relatively) and in the evenings I don't want to neglect DH too much. He is doing really well, but annoying keeping the house spotless for when I get back, making me feel v inadequate - they can't win can they!

Catch you all again later xxx

Sputnik · 16/04/2008 20:39

Nice to have you back Fury and LMN, been wondering where you'd got to.

lackaDAISYcal · 16/04/2008 20:39

cheers for that guys....norty, not patronising at all. This is the first time she has had any tummy thing going on and i'm just a bit clueless. She had some tea and a yogurt and half a bottle before she went to bed. Her nappies are wet, but not as wet as usual so i think i'll try with some weak apple juice tomorrow. i know she'll like that.

I'm in a bad way hormonally. I've been blubbing at traffic cops FFS . You lot have cheered me up though.

I'm off for a bit of apprentice (no doubt that'll have me blubbing as well) then an early night.

thanks

LittleMissNorty · 16/04/2008 20:41

Think I'd rather have had it done tomorrow so less time to worry .....oh well....

Bumper, have you got Sky? Baby TV show a lot of the brainy baby stuff.....DD loves it (channel 623)

LittleMissNorty · 16/04/2008 20:42

OOhh I've gotta watch the apprentice as well....has us in stitches....they are so fucking useless....and polite about it

lackaDAISYcal · 16/04/2008 20:42

norty, did they tell you how long you would need to wait if you don't go tomorrow? ikwym about not having time to worry, but it is a bit short notice really!

lackaDAISYcal · 16/04/2008 20:46

and a quick rant before I go. I have left posts on a couple of help threads in the BFing topic today. One on iron levels in BM, including links with more information and the other on biting with links on how to stop them, and neither of the OPs has even bothered to say thank you, or acknowledge my posts.......

fecking feckers....you try and do someone a good turn!

lackaDAISYcal · 16/04/2008 20:49

would it be bad form to post again, in big, angry capitals saying DON'T MENTION IT, THE PLEASURE WAS ALL FECKING MINE!!?

Riallyclean · 16/04/2008 20:54

you'd better make that SCARY hormonal woman daisy

FrazzledFairyFay · 16/04/2008 20:56

Bugger that for a game of soldiers, having a tidy house is over-rated

YANBU Daisy, that's really bad manners and very ungrateful of the Ops

Sputnik · 16/04/2008 20:57

That is annoying isn't it Daisy.

Shame you couldn't do that op tomorrow LMN, as you say less time to worry about it

LittleMissNorty · 16/04/2008 21:03

got to be treated by 6th June to avoid breaching waiting time targets (not cos I'm in pain etc )

Right off to watch Alan Sugar....night all x

Riallyclean · 16/04/2008 21:21

ooh, don't breach waiting list targets (my sis tells me all sorts, and DH is in the NHS trust newsletter receivers thingy.)

I am off to watch CHocolat (boguht DH some chilli lindt chocolate today - the shop had no bloody frys orange creams though, so I'll have to make do with stealing easter egg

Nite all.

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 16/04/2008 21:33

I get back from my evening working and you've all gone away. Ah well, I shall go play Mario Kart with DH on the Wii (and various others over the internet)

Hi NT&E how you doing?

Off to CPN soon - wish me luck.

lackaDAISYcal · 17/04/2008 09:28

mhc, thanks for that. I would love to borrow your book if that's OK; I was going to buy it, but am still undecided about tandem nursing (although I'm thinking, will it act like human liposuction and the baby fat will just evaporate? mmmm maybe worth a go! ).

We are carying on with the mixed feeding for the time being; formula for her mid morning feed, mid afternooon (if we're at home) and bedtime; BM during the night and first thing, and if we're out and about in the day (can't be faffed with taking bottles ot and about). It was working just fine, and alhtough I know my milk will probably dry up sooner rather than later, I want to keep BFing her until that happens. Her tum seems better and she is a bit chirpier this morning.

I think she is on the verge of taking her first steps as she is letting go of things for longer and longer and testing her balance, so foxy might be right about all the effort going into the next new skill......she is annoyed with me for some reason though and has smiles for everyone BUT me at the minute!

My mood is much better today, but in my depressed fug, the house has gone from tidy to bombsite in two days, with two days with of washing up littering the kitchen . DH will be home later so I have a LOT to do today (although he knows how I've been and wont mind at all)

Thanks for listening to me rant yesterday (not that anyone had a choice ). It makes it better knowing MN is here and that some sane answers will come back

I'll catch up later

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 17/04/2008 09:41

Hi everybody!

Daisy, glad things are looking brighter this morning. Especially glad LO is picking up - that's a worry you didn't need. I know I've not had any real advice but Id reiterate what others have said - remember to look after yourself!

Hmmm, the jamlet is smacking her lips and looking very pleased with herself. She has obviously just eaten something she found on the carpet. I wonder what it was? And I hope it was bread crumbs or something else edible actually and not a lump of carpet fluff . Ah well, she's eaten it now, not a lot I can do.

LittleMissNorty · 17/04/2008 09:56

Morning all

Daisy glad DD is a bit better....god knows I know how you felt yesterday....that treadmill again

Are you looking after yourself? Now you're pg, have you come off ADs? I thought there were some you could take while pg....? Anyway, suffice to say you need to ensure you are ok and being looked after....(sorry, don't mean to pry or lecture).

Got HV coming round here today for checking up on me 10 month check later....DD hasn't seen a HV since November..must make sure I remember to get dog hairs / toys off of DD and that she doesn't catch me feeding DD my last nights dinner of pie, mash and baked beans

Hello everyone else....good luck with CPN Ria ...blimey forgotten everything else already...

LittleMissNorty · 17/04/2008 09:58

bit of carpet fluff doesn't do anyone any harm Jammy .....

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 17/04/2008 10:03

Hi Norty. What's wrong with a bit of pie, mash & beans?
