geordieminx · 01/04/2008 21:06

Yes, I read that too... very sad

Sexonlegs · 01/04/2008 21:06

Oh CD, not another screaming session. Has she calmed down now?

Elkie, I don't suppose you could do the link to the cube again could you. It sounds really interesting.

Oooggs, enjoy your free time

Hi PM.

SPB, thanks for the list of upcoming birthdays.

All ok here. B still not 100% so may be another day at home.

Had a scare tonight. K slipped under water in the bath - I had turned round to check on B who was on the loo. I had to hold her upside down to get the water out of her. Scared me to death.

How is everyone else?

NorthernLurker · 01/04/2008 21:06

I've seen that thread too Oooggs. It's count your blessings time again ladies!

NorthernLurker · 01/04/2008 21:08

x post SOL - I know what you mean about being scared - took me ages to calm down after the B at the top of the stairs incident!

weeonion · 01/04/2008 21:10

evening folks! any april fools jokes?
happy birthday to milo tomorrow dooby - i was your text buddy last year!

how are all the poorly younglings? spb & T, runny and , leaky & G with trail!, SOL & B and sorry if i have missed any out!

C has now got conjunctivitis. poor mite had nought for 10 months and then it all comes with a rush. she is in grand form but it appears that my earlier posts about sleeping through the night put a skud on it. up a few times and tbh - i have been backing down and feeding her once we hit the magic time of 5.30am. i reckon i can cope with that as start time for the day - 2 days a week i will be up from 4.30am anyhow. she now says a funny kinda "dee-de-dee" sound for feeding and that is all i hear chorusing through the monitor. after an hour - the charm wears off!
i have come down with the begiinings of flu. argh. no crawling off to bed with hot chocoltae and a book. dp is on nights this week so all down to me. all C wants to do is stand all day - preferably within grabbing distance of me. i thought if i lay on teh floor today - that woudl appease her but oh no - total clamber queen.
ellesbelles - i saw her today at my last ever mini music class she is back to work tomorrow. we met up last thursday to weep when our 2 were nursery settling.
eddas - congrats on dd getting into school!
pesha - how you doing?
potc - c'mon now - you cant through a line out liek that and then deprive us all of juicy details!
as always - we intended to ot get C too much for birthday but havent been able to resist. she still has stuff from xmas that isnt out of the boxes yet so after this event i reckon her dad and i will be sleeping in the car to make space.
someone asked about her naming day? we have booked out a nice function room in germand microbrewery. small numbers. humnaist celebrant is doing the ceremony - she has been lovely and every time i read what is goign to be said - a big lump in throat. we have asked 4 "guardians" to act as her mentors - not "god-paretns", more like "odd parents". the 2 grannies will be lighting canldes and saying a few words. then we have a big cake for C with toasts etc. very much looking forward to it - even though none of my extended family in ireland are venturing across. ah well - more bubbly for me!!

sorry for long post - a catch up there!

oooggs · 01/04/2008 21:10

oooggs · 01/04/2008 21:13

LG&T is so lovely - other than dh and I, she was the first person to bottle feed one of the dts. I really feel for her this evening, I have only met the youngest two of her six children - she is a star

OP posts:
Eddas · 01/04/2008 21:14

that thread is she must have been so worried all day

hope you're ok sol, i'd have been so scared. ds has a bath seat which is great, i got it for a couple of quid at a boot fair.

DS also has one of those cubes, well it was dd's. They are great. his is from mothercare i believe.

StealthPolarBear · 01/04/2008 21:20

I came back on to see whether there was any news from lg&t, poor family, it must be such a shock.
SOL - very scary! Glad you managed to react so calmly (although I'm sure it didn't feel that way at the time!)

liath · 01/04/2008 21:21

Hi all,

Naming cereomny sounds lovely, WO. Hope C is all better by then. Did hse catch the conjunctivitis off a contaminated Spot do you think .....

SOL, what a fright! They are really giving up some hair-raising moments at the moment aren't they?

Pillock - we need more details !

Good to hear everyone's news as always.

I posted on LG&T's thread as our best mate's sister has turners but I really feel for her, what a horrible shock.

StealthPolarBear · 01/04/2008 21:22

PuppyMonkey - I know, I like a good debate as much as anyone but very strange how she is starting all those threads. Normally I'd just think troll but I think I recognise her and don't remember her being like this in the past! Could have her mixed up with someone else, mind.

StealthPolarBear · 01/04/2008 21:23

I saw your post liath, and the posts of others who know people with TS, all very positive. I have to admit I had never even heard of it until today.

weeonion · 01/04/2008 21:24

sol - oh poor you. that must have been a real shock. x

StealthPolarBear · 01/04/2008 21:25

Just been googling and I bet she's doing the same.

Sexonlegs · 01/04/2008 21:25

Thanks for the link Oooggs - it looks good.

Had a look at LG&Ts thread too. What a nightmare. I wish I had checked her profile earlier, as she only lives about half an hour away from me.

We have a non slip bath mat in the bath, but K moves around so much that she strayed off it and just went under. I may investigate the bath seat. Have had to have 2 glasses of wine tonight! Poor lamb- she was so shocked.

elkiedee · 01/04/2008 21:29

Repost from earlier in the thread as a couple of people asked - what I'm tempted by for D:

"I do love these things but we're short on space and I'm still thinking about it...

StealthPolarBear · 01/04/2008 21:30

OK I want one of those for T now!

CaptainDippy · 01/04/2008 21:32

Yes, all 3 settled. I'm on the red wine and a bit tipsy

StealthPolarBear · 01/04/2008 21:32

me3

Bramshott · 01/04/2008 21:33

I want wine!! I have got chocolate though!

Bramshott · 01/04/2008 21:34

And I don't want one of those cubes - not that they aren't lovely - I just don't want any more toys in my house. ever.

CaptainDippy · 01/04/2008 21:37

I think they get bored of those cubes really easily.

Just my opinion though. For what it's worth.

Aaaaah, I have chocolate too Bramshott

Eddas · 01/04/2008 21:37

here's the bath seat well mine's similar.

glad they're all asleep cd

i'm off to bed now. dh has finished watching the footie so i'm going to find a dvd and watch that in bed

oooggs · 01/04/2008 21:39

I'm eating Ferreo Rocher
