NL how was work today?
Sorry if you've already said, I have been spaced out today

NorthernLurker · 02/04/2008 19:06

It was ok thanks - still feel a bit trampled on but can see a bit of light at the end of the tunnel. Also saw a fabulous job which I'm going to apply for if I meet just a few of the criteria

POTC - I AM NOT PROPER - I'm as much rock and roll as the rest of you - even if I am 31!!!

StealthPolarBear · 02/04/2008 19:06

excellent!

StealthPolarBear · 02/04/2008 19:07

OK I think it was the fire engine - it turned itself on

NorthernLurker · 02/04/2008 19:10

StealthPolarBear · 02/04/2008 19:11

PillockOfTheCommunity · 02/04/2008 19:31

i'm here, just dealing with giving justin minute detail as he can't think for himself what he might need when he has J overnight

elkiedee · 02/04/2008 20:17

Turn on Radio 4 quick - mumsnet is on. Hope it will be on Listen Again.

Octothechildherder · 02/04/2008 20:27

Yes - my sister from Horseworld - the mad space hopper lady! She's not stalking me in real life - just on mn - always asks when i'm going to meet up with my cyber mummies

A friend of mine has an ELC garage that makes sounds/tunes when she switches her lounge light on and off - very odd!

Have kind fo read but not much. Have been working and am off to Avon Valley Country Park tomorrow with Ernie's postnatal pals

Off to Brighton next week yipppeee then Manchester the day after his birthday for 3 days to stay with the stalker!

CaptainDippy · 02/04/2008 20:30

A list from NorthernLurker and Dippy for Dickhead Justin .....

1.) A baby called Joe (prefarably)
2.) Something for Joe to wear - he can even wear the same thing at night as in the day if it's easier.
3.) Food - sausage rolls, whole grapes (really small ones), mars bars, doritos (hot ones), raw steak and onion rings and a hog roast.
4.) Cot!!?
5.) Copious amounts of Fruit Shoots
6.) Hair brush and shaving foam / razor
7.) Ninteno DS (for entertainment)

That's just a start, HIH .......

elkiedee · 02/04/2008 20:32

Ooh POTC, we're all waiting for the juicy details about your love-life!

Happy birthday Milo

NL, good luck with the job application (what's it for?)

We've given D quite a bit of Calpol and Medised, and I won't say never, but I'm going to have to get dp to read some of this stuff. I often thought it wasn't really very effective.

PillockOfTheCommunity · 02/04/2008 20:41

am pmsl at your list Dippy

Octothechildherder · 02/04/2008 20:45

glasses to read the instructions would be vital and a variety of post its dotted around his house reading

YOU HAVE A BABY HERE
HIS NAME IS JOE

THE CRYING MEANS HE IS PISSED OFF WITH YOU

mamiguay · 02/04/2008 20:46

evening folks.. feeling totally cream crackered. think i'm off to bed shortly. This full time malarkey is hard work especially with dh away in the evening so no help with N from the minute I get in until about 9pm (his current bed time it would seem) and by then I'm so knackered I just want to go to bed myself. Can just about keep on top of the basics i.e. dirty washing into wash room, make and eat dinner myself, get his bag ready for tomorrow, wash dishes and that's it. No idea how any degree of housework is going to get done at this rate

blah.

Octothechildherder · 02/04/2008 20:47

Octothechildherder · 02/04/2008 20:55

You might as well pillock - he won't notice - just explain its the norm!

I have got ernie some new booties from robeez which he already has , his hand and footprints done at john lewis and a whoozit photo book. My mum rang today to ask what he wants but have no idea - and friends have asked but no idea there either! I may get my mum to get him a duplicate of his noonoo comfort blanket.

CaptainDippy · 02/04/2008 20:56

Dooby - Not lot, why??

Doobydoo · 02/04/2008 20:59

Am feling v at the present sent M.1st they were going to send money as they moan about postage to Ireland. Then they reluctantly asked what he was interested in,so I told em and 2 items arrived today. Not wrapped and one 2nd hand but in bad condition[don't have prob with 2nd hand if in good cond].I know that with my sisters baby who will bwe one later this year it will be totally different[same dad but he is married to my sisters mum]Just thiink it is shabby really.

Octothechildherder · 02/04/2008 20:59

Dooby - my fil will put some money in his bank account and send a card, mine will buy pressie which will not be here on his birthday and none of them are planning to be here - they do sometimes come for birthdays but not always. I am having a little Teddy Bear Picnic for him and his little friends.

Octothechildherder · 02/04/2008 21:01

x post

Dooby - its not worth getting upset over - if they thought it would have upset you they wouldn't have done it I'm sure and there will be even more upset if you mention it.
