Bramshott · 02/04/2008 10:51

Ooh, Orla's baby swing has just arrived.

NorthernLurker · 02/04/2008 11:47

Hi all

work was ok - the hours that I wanted should be ok. Still feel rather humiliated and worthless tbh but I'll get over it.

CaptainDippy · 02/04/2008 12:11

You shouldn't feel like that NL - that makes me I'll definitely call you onight before The Apprentice - is that ok!!? xx

My niece / nephew is on his / her way out into the world - contractions have started!!!!!

Still feeling rough, but I'll live ..... .....

thinkingofapplying · 02/04/2008 12:15

Don't worry about the namechange thing - we've all done it!!

AngeG · 02/04/2008 12:57

Dippy - Have text you

NL - Glad work was ok. You are most certainly not worthless. Praying that when you go back, you don't feel uncomfortable.
at name change!

StealthPolarBear · 02/04/2008 12:59

NL

PillockOfTheCommunity · 02/04/2008 13:03

pmsl at Ange, now I understand the text apology

from what I've heard, medised isn't withdrawn, just you'll have to ask the pharmacist for it, the overdosing issue was with people giving cold remedies alongside calpol/nurofen, not realising that you can't, as cold stuff also contains paracetamol. it's just precautionary and as soon as they have re-printed labels to give clearer info on that they will be back on sale.

AngeG · 02/04/2008 13:04

Hi SPB. How is T? How did you get on at the drs? How are you feeling. Hope you're both getting better. xx

StealthPolarBear · 02/04/2008 13:07

went to docs, checked out and he said as long as he's alert etc not to worry but come back on Mon if he is still having diarrhoea.
I have got over the sick feeling, now feeling exhausted and headachey, maybe getting a cold. Can cope with that though, better than D&V by a long way!!!

StealthPolarBear · 02/04/2008 13:07

Thanks for asking, sorry I'm not posting much can't seem to form coherent thoughts
Although I think I can spell diarrhoea - finally!

AngeG · 02/04/2008 13:09

again POTC

You're right medised hasn't been withdrawn, but it will now only be labelled for use in children over 2. So if you want to buy it you will have to say it's for M!

Sexonlegs · 02/04/2008 13:09

Hi folks. Just a quick question for all you cooks out there.

I need a flameproof casserole dish - you know the ones that you can use on the gas hob and then move to the oven.

Where do I start???

mamiguay · 02/04/2008 13:12

POTC - as always you are the april thread fountain of knowledge

Nl - I can imagine you still feel rotten about it but hopefully it'll be behind you soon and something in the future will come your way and make it all perfectly clear why it has turned out like this

CD - that you feel rotten, and for little T too SPB.. poor poorly people, little and big alike

Went to a shop here that stocks the wheelybugs and OMG they are so cute! definitely going to get one for N but just wavering between the small and large. I know the large would make more sense long term but I'd hate to buy it for him and then have it sat around for months and months before he can use it. The point is that he can enjoy it now iyswim? HELP!

Dh really p*ing me off. He is going off to the mainland to play with his band on friday AND saturday night so is away fri-sun. Not only is this trip costing US about 200? (don't even ask) he keeps moaning about it. Right from the start it seems they've all regretting booking the gigs but have been swept along out of some misplaced loyalty to whatever place it is that booked them i.e. not wanting to let them down. Who cares???!! These aren't big gigs, no doubt they'd find someone else, it's hardly the end of the world. And now it looks like they're going to break up anyway after the next few gigs so what does it matter if they don't go?

Anyway, whatever. They're going and fine but I do NOT want to hear him moaning about it when we've had to shoulder the cost of the trip and when I'm going to be all alone with N all weekend.

Going to go book a flight to see my sister in June now. might aswell take advantage while he hasn't a leg to stand on..

mamiguay · 02/04/2008 13:13

oh you can get them all over Mallorca in any old market SOL

Sorry that was well cheeky

geordieminx · 02/04/2008 13:32

oooggs · 02/04/2008 13:44

OP posts:
StealthPolarBear · 02/04/2008 14:06

excellent oooggs!

StealthPolarBear · 02/04/2008 14:12

ho is it only2? feels like 5
why won't t sleep?

geordieminx · 02/04/2008 14:15

Tell me about it SPB!!

Been to the dentist AGAIN... To have a tooth repaired that broke last week, and to get a new microwave as ours blew up this morning.

Such an exciting life I lead

C is absolutely worn out but refuses to have a nap - he is currently in the hall trying to pull some small shelve box type things off the wall... the child is possessed I tell you!!!

StealthPolarBear · 02/04/2008 14:48

finally got him to sleep
i'll be in bed straight after him tonight

StealthPolarBear · 02/04/2008 14:49

Hope it wasn't painful GM
Does C get obsessed as well? Once T has decided he wants to do something (no matter how illogical) he keeps at it until he does it or I stop him (and there are tears)
