hang on to it NL - it doesn't look as though it's worth it!
nursery say to take him in if he continues to improve. would like to as it's only a half day for his 1st one

NorthernLurker · 31/03/2008 12:51

I know someone in rl with 5 caz - I should repost and say two people shouldn't I?

cazboldy · 31/03/2008 12:52

no don't worry, You don't really know me......

cazboldy · 31/03/2008 12:53

but you know someone else as mad as me obviously

NorthernLurker · 31/03/2008 12:54

It's strange isn't it - we know a lot about one another and our daily lives - but may never meet - though I hope we do

cazboldy · 31/03/2008 12:54

i should text Ellie really.... she is supposed to be coming to see us on Thursday....

NorthernLurker · 31/03/2008 12:55

yes - I don't know how she does it though! Lovely children - with quite a spread of ages.

cazboldy · 31/03/2008 12:56

so do I NL - although I think that would require some serious logistical planning!

cazboldy · 31/03/2008 12:58

lol people always say that to me...... "I don't know how you do it!" - I reckon what they really want to say "You must be mad" - the less polite ones do say that.

And "oh but they are lovely children" like they turn into monsters when you have more than 2 lol ......

mamiguay · 31/03/2008 13:07

Morning! (afternoon?)

SPB - sorry T is not well poor little mite. fingers crossed you don't get it either! My new nickname means 'mummycool' mami = mummy, guay = cool My self imposed ban on talking about N's sleep habits is still in place indefinitely. Suffice to say we are still happily married and more or less sane...

Oooggs - love the photos, they DO all look really alike, very gorgeous

SOL - don't you laugh at me and my terrace cleaning It was great fun, my mum leant me a high pressure water gun to clean the tiles. And if you haven't had a shot on one of those you have NO idea what you are missing

Well today I've started my first day back at work 5 days a week, N is with my mum this week and with dh next week as he has hols and then settling in to nursery the following week. Am not thinking about it. It's all fine and dandy TBH I am just glad I am earning FT wage again and look forward to paying off debts and getting back in the black again at the end of this month. What a relief it will be.

Went to see the Kite Runner last night, really loved it, nearly cried at the end (sssshhh don't tell but so did dh..awwww. sap)

Been a total skiver today at work, it's just ridiculous. Have done my 1st quarter tax return, bought a microwave for the office, hair straighteners for me (and a pressie for dh so he can't moan at me ), done the monthly accounts, spent about 2 hours looking for parking and eaten lunch.

Best see if there's anything important needing done, right?

StealthPolarBear · 31/03/2008 13:11

Oh I didn't realise you were on a ban!

mamiguay · 31/03/2008 13:19

yes. I don't want to be held responsible for people eating their own heads out of frustration and boredom.

Pesha · 31/03/2008 13:28

Katy i think they do go down in value at first as there are admin costs or something they take out of them to start with but then they go up. Something like that anyway but I think its standard for the drop. Although I too haven't invested D's yet and dont even know where it is Keep meaning to ring up for a new one but forgetting!

Have just rung another woman about a house swap. Little village and shes right on the edge, location seems lovely. There is no school in the village but the 2nd closest (1st closest is a definite no, my bf's dd went there and it was crap, she has now changed school) is the best in the area, ofsted report is outstanding for nearly everything. I applied for dd to go there when she was going to start school and she got in but as I didnt drive then it would have a nightmare to get her there so had to turn it down. Not sure whether this woman will want my house though. She is seeing another house just round the corner so will be choosing between the 2. I think I'm in a nicer not rough area, allotments out the back so not overlooked and no congregating teenagers around etc. But she said she doesn't really want to do any work on a house and my house does need quite a bit of decorating still. Although I have a lot of paint already just not got round to it so could do some if thats what she wants. My mum has just offered to help if I need it.

Also have another house in Sherborne to ring up about it! I dont know what it is about the first I house I looked at but I just have a 'not quite right' feeling about it. Would miss a proper garden but also something about the town doesnt quite feel right, not bad I just dont feel comfortable with it iyswim, it feels a bit claustrophobic or oppressive or something But haven't ruled it out either, just exploring options!

Sorry waffled on loads all about myself Just trying to work through it all atm, its a big decision and I just dont know what to do!!! And needing a swap means my choices are very limited.

StealthPolarBear · 31/03/2008 13:34

mamiguay - I don't!
Pesha - someone on the thread I started to have a winge about it has just mentioned fees. That's fair enough but why doesn't the statement say that?? Anyway, that makes me feel better, thanks. Are you going to see that house when she's seen the other one? I didn't realise you were having second thoughts about the original one

Pesha · 31/03/2008 13:44

We're going to see hers this afternoon after school then shes coming to see mine and the other one tomorrow. Keep trying to convince myself the first one is fine but cant escape nagging doubts The house itself is lovely but not sure about the rest.

Aaargh boys coming again, better post QUICK DAMN THE ESCAPE KEY``

Lol at your last sentence!
Nagging doubts not good. I think that's what I liked about this one, with most of the others I had doubts I just couldn't put my finger on, with this one it just felt right.
(the fact that it was the cheapest of all the ones we looked at also helped to quiet those doubts )

StealthPolarBear · 31/03/2008 13:50

Sorry to be nosey but where is J staying? Are any of them better / worse for the DC seeing him?

CaptainDippy · 31/03/2008 13:57

Argh - quick skim, you guys have been a right chatty lot since I left!

All 3 girls safely deposited at nursery and I am behind schedule - ARGH! Forgot how long it takes to drop them off - Don't tell me off!

Haven't invested P's Child Trust Fund thingy either or set up an account for her Bad mummy!

CaptainDippy · 31/03/2008 13:59

Anyway, I have nipped to Tesco and bought a few bits for entertaining tonight and I am now sat here with my Sushi .... anyone care to join me for lunch!!?

NorthernLurker · 31/03/2008 13:59

Not a bad mummy - just the same as the rest of us!

CaptainDippy · 31/03/2008 14:00

Aaaaah, NL - nice of you to join me!

NorthernLurker · 31/03/2008 14:02

I've already had a bacon and tomato sandwich - and the evil, evil kitkat

Having a really nice day actually - B is being lovely and the house is tidy (because of the buyer coming round this morning - which all went fine). I think I'm going to pack her into the pram shortly and we'll go out - perhaps to one of the out of town shopping places for a walk and a browse.

I miss dh and the big girls lots - but it is also quite nice to only have to think about B and I - and not what to make for tea, school pick ups etc etc!!

NorthernLurker · 31/03/2008 14:02

sorry - Dippy - that last bit sounds really smug

CaptainDippy · 31/03/2008 14:06

Enjoy it!!
