hi everyone
NL- I know! Or move to bungalows.
Eddas, cake sounds lovely (the reason I asked for the colour is I have been looking for hedgehog stuff for his party but everything seems to be Sonic ) Hope you get one. i bet our M&S doesn't have it
I used to take microgynon, think it's the combined pill. I now have a much more effective contraceptive - a baby who doesn't sleep. Apart from the last few nights, touching every bit of wood I can find (do wood effect kitchen cupboards count?)
oooggs, sorry, for some reason I thought you went back same day as me! Has E been any better at nursery, or has she not been back since? Not looking forward to leaving T
Eddas, hope tomorrow morning is not an early one.
Good night everyone, going to hang around for 5 morte mins then off to bed.

StealthPolarBear · 30/03/2008 22:20

lots of in that last post!

elkiedee · 30/03/2008 22:26

Goodnight Eddas and SOL

oooggs · 30/03/2008 22:26

night Katy - they haven't been since last wednesday but I think they are visiting tomorrow then start properly this wednesday (albeit a shortish day)

CaptainDippy · 30/03/2008 22:29

Tidied up a bit and wrapped some gifts - exciting life I lead....

I'm hungry.

elkiedee · 30/03/2008 22:31

NL, sorry to hear about your scare, you must feel awful. I fell down a steep and long flight of stone steps into our basement as a baby and survived (that must have been terrifying for my mum!) and my little brother fell down the carpeted steps between the ground and 1st floor at about 13 months old - he'd been beginning to get on to his feet and he cried for about 24 hours solidly, and it set back everything a month, but he was physically just fine. I still feel bad about it to this day because my memory is that it was actually my fault - and I don't remember ever having stairgates in either of our houses (we moved when I was 10 and brother 2 and my mum was pregnant with my sister).

Night SPB

elkiedee · 30/03/2008 22:32

So Dippy, what are you going to eat?

StealthPolarBear · 30/03/2008 22:48

really, this time, good night!

CaptainDippy · 30/03/2008 23:04

Dunno Elkie -getting ab it late - I do have a rather fine looking Banoffee Pie in the fridge though - homemade - yum!

CaptainDippy · 31/03/2008 07:29

Last off, 1st on! I personally rather like this clock change I am up and shoered and nearly dressed and all my babies are still sleeping Yippee! This is very good news considering my DH away all this week on yet another course. Humph.

How is everyone today?

Eddas · 31/03/2008 07:40

YIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIPEEEEEEEEE, dd didn't wake until 7

I find out which school she has got today > not until after 4 though so I have to wait all day

A question for those of you using a nursery or childminder. May I ask how much you pay per hour/day? I will need something for ds once dd is at school. I know it depends on where you live but want an idea before I satrt looking. Thanks

CaptainDippy · 31/03/2008 07:41

Answer: Too much! I'll find out and let you know.

DD1 just got up, best crack on ......

Eddas · 31/03/2008 07:55

thanks cd. Have looked on a few websites. most don't quote prices but one local day nursery was £32 per day(9-5) which is half my wages and not long enough to get to and from work either dh can get those childcare voucher thing-a-mes or I could so would be a little cheaper

Have just checked my emails and the schools website but nothing yet, suprisingly

Must busy myself. I hate waiting

Eddas · 31/03/2008 08:02

oooggs, hope dt's are ok at nursery today. and because I will forget good luck for them starting properly on wednesday

SPB, hope you and T have a nice final day off before work

StealthPolarBear · 31/03/2008 08:11

thanks eddas
just had our last lie in
we pay £31.50 a day (just got the bill!) think it's a bit cheaper for full time.
Will you definitely not hear until 4? if so - stop checking, you'll only disappoint yourself!

Eddas · 31/03/2008 08:21

so £32 is probably the going rate then. Once I find out when dd will start school I can start looking into it all properly. I don't know where many of them are. I need one on the way to work really, but most of them will be in the town which is th wrong direction I will see if there are any in the town I work in but it's more of a big village than a town so not hopeful there is.

I will stop looking to see if I've had an email. I need to get on anyway and get dc's sorted to take dd to preschool. Might even pop to a shop to get some storage boxes to kill a while before I come home(so less temptation to keep checking)

StealthPolarBear · 31/03/2008 08:34

T just been sick everywhere

cazboldy · 31/03/2008 09:02

oh dear spb

Oooggs - all 3 of your children look very similar, not just J and E. All very gorgeous.

Am amazed that you dared to take the photo of them sleeping, for fear of them waking up!

NL - I had a horrible dream last night about Molly falling downstairs..... I actually heard the bump, bump, bump noise in my head and leapt out of bed...... dh thought I had gone mad!

StealthPolarBear · 31/03/2008 09:03

at your dream caz - could the heating have been bumping and your dream was 'using' the noise? That sort of thing happens to me all the time!

StealthPolarBear · 31/03/2008 09:04

off to docs later if t no better
why does this sort of thing always happen at the worst time?

Pesha · 31/03/2008 09:19

Bloody hell D just deleted a whole post

SPB - poor T and you Hope he picks up soon.

Eddas - here cms are about £3 an hour give or take a little and if registered they can take childcare vouchers. Also tend to be more flexible about hours and more likely to be in villages etc so might be worth considering.

posting now before he deletes it again!

StealthPolarBear · 31/03/2008 09:33

yes, forgot to mention childcare voucers. I figured I would save £75/month, which I assume is the maximum

cazboldy · 31/03/2008 09:46

you sound so down about going back to work spb

Is it just because you don't want to leave T? or more than that? (as if that's not enough of a reason?)

cazboldy · 31/03/2008 09:47

Molly hasn't woken up yet, but she was a bit grumpy yesterday, so is probably tired....her top teeth are cutting through.

dh and the eldest boys have just gone off to A.I one of our jersey cows -how exciting!
