DH has taken dd tot he cinema. They've just got the bus into town. She'll be disappointed though as it was only mini bus sized, she likes big ones(double deckers)

.....and off swimming ......

mamiguay · 29/03/2008 14:36

Happy Birthay Erin and Jack!!!!!!

CONGRATS GMM!!! how totally fabulous await all the wedding planning, will give us all something to get excited about

Just received an invite to our friends' wedding today, it's a black and white photo of them from the neck to the knees (face on) with their arms behind their backs. then you open it and on the other side is the back view and shows their hands all chained up! It's really good

NL - what a great night . I am banning myself from more talk of our own nights for a while

I had a complete moment this morning of complete and utter boredom and frustration with my life. another saturday morning washing dishes and feeling the drudge of the usual house chores stretching out in front of me anyway, snapped myself out of it, got N and I ready and went into town to meet up with a friend. And had a lovely morning now having a quick coffee at home and off to see my folks.

Eddas · 29/03/2008 15:14

no, honestly mine is so much more glamorous than any of yours

I went out earlier and bought ds' birthday present. A little ride nemo on car, so cute and not at all pink

elkiedee · 29/03/2008 15:39

Afternoon all

Nice sunny morning in the park meeting up with someone else who wants to make mummy friends but is at work full time in the week. Stopped at Mothercare on the way home and managed to get on to a bus and get the best seat possible with a buggy in tow, somewhere I assume I'm not going to be able to get on a bus on a Saturday afternoon, and just as the rain started.

Now about to venture out to seek more help from the very patient woman at the knitting group which meets in my local library.

Weeonion, I was so relieved by the end of this story - this thread was a fun read, wonder if it will show up in morningpaper's next roundup.

Hi allI've had a really nice day today - went over to Leeds for some shopping! This is a very rare event and I really enjoyed it.Got some dungarees for B that were in the Gap sale - they didn't have her size in York so I was really chuffed to see them in Leeds Trousers for me and spent my advantage card points on one of those baby towels that goes round your neck like an apron and you then cuddle and wrap the baby in it. Popped into Harvey Nicks as well - wold you believe they have a D&G bottle holder in there - for £49.50!!!!! The had the bottle to match but that didn't have a price on it! Anyway - think i'm more of an Armani girl

Good everybody seems to be having an ok kind of day so far. Dippy - hope dd2 shapes up a bit for you. Is she coming up on 3? Dd1 was a total pain around the 2 1/2 mark. Really, really disobedient and argumentative. She grew out of it - and is now utterly mortified at the thought! It;'s just their personalities growing out in one direction before the rest catches up. Very, very hard to deal with though.

CaptainDippy · 29/03/2008 19:09

Thanks NL Yes, she'll be 3 May 20th. SIgh.

NorthernLurker · 29/03/2008 19:41

Sigh indeed. The thing that sticks in my mind most about that time with dd1 is when we were on holiday. I was about five months pregnant and we'd been for a walk down a hill to the beach. Just got back to the top of the track and she turned tail and ran off. She stopped after about 25 yards and giggled. Wouldn't come back. I refused to chase after her and marched back to the car leaving dh to collar her. He bought her back and found me refusing to speak to her. That did seem to impress her a bit

Just realised I forgot to explain - my big girls are at my mum and dads for the week - miss them though

oooggs · 29/03/2008 20:11

I am shattered and their party isn't until tuesday afternoon!!!!!!

weather here has been pants and it hasn't stopped raining all day

hows everyone else?
