the TV remote is in the freezer, your car keys are down the loo, and there are little smears of food at knee height down each corridor!

Just stickin my head in for a min to say I am alive - just in a weirdy mood.

Try and rest CSWS

CantSleepWontSleep · 24/03/2008 14:50

Feeling much brighter today. Had a lovely trip out to the butterfly farm.

Dh's muppetry will amuse you though. After lunch I noticed that dd was all wet round her bum - couldn't recall her sitting down on the ground outside, and said to dh we should just check that her nappy was on ok and not leaking. He has a rummage, looks puzzled, and says she must have taken her nappy off . She was wearing tights and trousers over the top, so would have to be quite a houdini to have done so . Seems that when he got her dressed this morning, he actually forgot to put a nappy on at all! Good job she hadn't had a poo and isn't a massively heavy wetter! Thankfully I had a spare set of clothes with us, which I rarely do.

Right, flame, Saturday June 14th. If you've got anything planned then cancel it. We are coming to play. Please tell us of nice hotels we can stay in on the Sat night, in Poole, as we will prob be catching a ferry out of there at 7:30am on the Sunday.

Frizbe · 24/03/2008 14:55

{{{Hugs}}} CSWS hope you feel better soon, like Flame says try to rest, but we know its not that easy eh.

So MRM and Jas have taken their lives in their hands and gone to Ikea on a Bank Holiday monday, very brave me thinks

We've been upto Bakewell today (Phoenix and Chloe will know that one, even if the rest of you don't) It was snowing there too, looks lovely in the snow even though it wasn't really settling. dd1 is now the proud owner of 2 pegs with flowers stuck on them and a bangle in purple.
Now have dd2 on my lap, after standing next to me yelling lap, lap, mummy lap, so think I may not be on here much longer! Have brought a Pudding for Pudding too We chilled out yesterday and stayed at home all day. Meridian, her dh and ds came round for tea, I did roast beef n yorkshires, yummy, yum.

CantSleepWontSleep · 24/03/2008 14:57

Mmmmmm, tart.

Frizbe · 24/03/2008 14:58

Haha! X posts CSWS glad you're feeling better.
We stayed at the Premier Inn by the bay in Pool last year and that was ok for a one night stay, if you just need somewhere cheap? There are two Premier Inns, this one has a Pub attached to it for breakfast etc. HTH's.

Frizbe · 24/03/2008 14:59

No PUDDING Tarts are totally different things

at your dh and poor old dd's nappy

Frizbe · 24/03/2008 15:00

difference

DontDreamItBeIt · 24/03/2008 18:54

I think we used to drive through Bakewell on the way to Buxton.

I'll have you lot know, Ikea was calm and relaxing

OK. It was crammed with a million people, but as we only went for a chat and some cheap food, it was a nice day out. Thanks mrm.

Fil Has gone out in a sulk because we didn't do what he'd planned for us today (mostly due to the fact he didn't tell us he had made plans)
Ah well, dp and I have had a nice argument free weekend

@ Mr csws....she's not quite ready for potty training then?

YorkshirePhoenix · 24/03/2008 20:31

Glad Ikea was fun

Pmsl at Mrcsws not putting a nappy on dd

We went tent shopping had a good look round them all (they have loads up in a field), found this one that we both liked and then ordered it cheaper online . So soon we'll be all set to start going camping again Lewis has bought himself an ITNG ready bed for camping with his Easter money

CantSleepWontSleep · 24/03/2008 20:53

Where's the ensuite bathroom with hot running water though Phoenix?

Glad Ikea was quiet fun.

Friz - I've never had a pudding, so feel free to bring me one if we meet up this summer - looks yum, and I prefer puff pastry to shortcrust.

mustrunmore · 24/03/2008 21:08

In all honesty, I dont think it was any worse than usual there actually.

Ds1 loved being with the girls. In fact, he's gone to bed discussing the merits of each, wh ois better at piggy backs, how much he loves them both etc etc

I went to Mothercare worlld after tescos Jas, and got a great bargain!...

Needed a fleece pj thing for ds1. Expensive in his size;£16.
But they had buy one get one half price. I found some pjs in ds2 size reduced from £14 to £9.80. so i thought if I got them for half of the 9.80, I'd get the two and feel ok about it.
Got to the till.... £9.80 scanned.... £8 scanned for the £16 ones ..... then, half price off that, so £4!! So I got £30 of jammas at full price for 13.80, and one pair wasnt even in the reduced section. Very happy

On the down side, ds2 fell asleep in Tescos ans slept for over an hour, so diidnt got to bed till 8.20 and ds1 only just gone now, because he cant go first!

Off to get my sink now.

Flamesparrow · 24/03/2008 21:59

@ the nappyless Pippa!!! DS has been in pants today and yesterday (apart from 10 mins when we decided to chuck a nappy on him and he pooed in it - fab timing!). He has just been weeing in the pants bar one wee in the potty (I ran round trying to find a sticker, finally presented him with it, and he just looked ), but it has saved money if nothing else.

DD weed in the potty too DS told her to apparently. She is now under strict instructions to say no.

for visiting!!! What kind of class of place you wantin to stay in???

Hurrah for ikea goodness. Not forgotten your email MRM, still pondering hotels and trying to work out plans with DSis

mustrunmore · 24/03/2008 22:02

Ds2 pooed in his new jammas (nappy leak) 10 mins inot wearing them and was in a strop because he has to wear unmatching tops and bottoms to bed!

hotels???

Flamesparrow · 24/03/2008 22:14

butties and beer!

DD strops about unmatching pjs (forgot to for your bargains) - I have had to dig out a matching set in the night before when she has wet one half She has started accepting odd stuff now though saying "I like looking weird"

mustrunmore · 24/03/2008 22:24

Oh yes, that hotel Sorry!

EachPeachPearMum · 25/03/2008 00:15

Hope you're feeling better csws.

You too Flame!

Phoenix- we got a new tent last year, to accommodate dd....she was less impressed than we were but thats a different story

we got this one...

OK I think this must be longest time period for post- I started writing this at 8:35

would be fine if it were edifying!

CantSleepWontSleep · 25/03/2008 06:57

Grrrrr - dd to bed at 8:45, and up at 6 saying she NEEDS to see nanny NOW (she is visiting later today).

mustrunmore · 25/03/2008 09:34

Then you can have a kip while Nanny looks after her Nans need to earn their staus you know!

I had a very very odd dream last night; so odd that I lay in bed for an hour this morninig thinking about it and still having the being-in-a-dream feeling!

Flamesparrow · 25/03/2008 09:58

How odd

The dream was about me eating naked wasn't it??

mustrunmore · 25/03/2008 10:20

Er, no! But now you've put that in my subconcious again...

Flamesparrow · 25/03/2008 10:27

No My sister is nagging me too - seeing my mum in a bit so will be able to work out more then. Trains are on strike so we are trying to work out coaches

DontDreamItBeIt · 25/03/2008 10:50

I hate it when you tell us that you had an odd dream but won't give details....just not fair.
Can we come and see your new kitchen on Monday or Friday next week mrm, please?

FIL has gone home I think he is planning on moving up here now though Really not sure how I feel about that. DP will ignore him, and I will end up feeling bad and having to entertain him.

damewashalot · 25/03/2008 11:12

Hello, not been on for a bit and not had much sleep so, to tired to read everything, just thought I'd pop my head in

So, is Warwick castle ever going to happen? or a meet up somewhere near csws so i can hitch a ride with dh if I make ask him nicely to go to the office that day

mustrunmore · 25/03/2008 11:43

It was to do with flame, bur not her eating naked

Friday would be good, as monday I have a pta meeting at 2pm
Slim chance you might cross paths with BIL , but he's the nice one And tbh, if he hasnt already left, he'll either be on his way, or out with dh doing last minute things!

Does anyeone know the TRUE distance from train to castle? It varies from 1 to 2.25 miles depending wher you look.. which is a big diff when walking with ds1!!!

EachPeachPearMum · 25/03/2008 12:13

I'm confused! I thought Warwick was happening in the summer?

mrm- why is it that some dreams stay with us for so long after having them?
Some are so vivid, it seems impossible they were just dreams.
I have to say it is the more disturbing ones that do this though...
